These are beautiful trucks! Just bought my wife a High Country. Cajon Red, 2500 6.6 , Full cab. Plenty of horsepower 401, but it's the torque power that really gets your attention. 😜 We also have a2014 GMC 1500 with 6.2 liters of nothing but muscle 💪 and only 35k miles and always showroom detailed. We've owned a few trucks, and of all makes! But GM has the best reliability, performance, easy to maintain, awesome cosmetics , and great prices 👍 Thanks GMC,Chevrolet. 😉😉😉😉😉😉🤘

You will get a ton, pun intended, of more views because you're the only channel reviewing the w/t trim, the one most buyers are interested in. All other truck channels ignore the base models. Personally the black bumpers/ grill etc... look sharper than the $70k LTZ, High Country, even LT's.

Yes it is a 6.6L gas engine. It's the new gas engine that replaced the 6.0L gas engine in the new GM heavy duty pickups. Now making a comment like yours without knowing what you are talking about, that would be idiotic.

FYI, the wheel wells in the truck bed aren't lower or smaller because they wanted them that way to compete with the competition. They just don't need to be any larger because the trucks sits around 2 inches higher than the previous design and the sidewalls of the bed were lowered to accommodate fifth wheel and gooseneck trailering. Left the original size would have resulted in excessive or unnecessary wheel well clearance. Anybody who is in the market for a truck should take a look and a drive. These new trucks are impressive up close and behind the wheel. Bigger, roomier and more capable than the 19's and still with a trademark ride quality that doesn't fade over time with the demands of everyday life. How about looks? I'm not so sure I'm a good judge on looks you know after being raised on "don't judge a book by it's cover" and "It's not what's on the outside but what's on the inside that counts" and the such. I don't think I'm without bias but when I buy a tool looks are somewhere down the list when they're there at all. My truck is a tool and it does a shit ton of stuff for me. It'll grunt a heavy load from 0 to whatever and whistle a tune with it's aspiration up a steep grade and across the top of long plateaus when I ask. When I get to work it that's when I feel the best about owning it. Looks? Opinions are out there but that's not a surprise because opinions are like, well you know, there's lots of them. The looks are fine. It's a tool not a "trophy" wife or husband to be fair.
This truck is very nice from the factory. Some dark wheels and you could easily turn this into a “night” package due to everything else already being black. The headlights almost have a Dark look already
I wish they would offer a wing window option . Every time I get into a old truck with a wing window it just pisses me off my newer truck doesn’t have one.

The tab on the rearview mirror isn't a "fidget thing". If you change the angle on the mirror at night, you will still get a reflection and technically "see rear view". That has been on cars from all makers for decades. How old are you?
It's a good thing you went over things that matter like FGAWR and RGAWR and GCWR. How GM is combating the effects of having DI. The lower profile bed for trailering. The bed construction itself. They need to do an emergency refresh on the front end, they also went full Toyota shoving that engine that far back and leaving all that room up front, I know it's for crash ratings but it sucks if you do your own maintenance. I like that they don't have any body trim, looks good. (about the only thing.)

However I plan on trading that Ford in for a Tesla pickup truck in the future. Till then I'm driving driving a Ford truck for now.

Numbers sometimes dont mean nothing. The 6.2 was never put on any hd truck it wouldn't last even 150,000 without major problems. Be smart and go with a 5.3 save some money and fuel. Same block and design. Theres no point of putting a 6.2 engine on a 1500 unless your racing or sum. They will have the same drive train and leaf springs. My 03 4.8 v8 still going strong yea shes a turtle but gets the job done and ok in fuel consumption. Got an 02 2500hd 6.0 with over 300,000 still running and a 13 2500hd 6.0 with almost 200,000. All trucks are good just avoid regular 1500s trucks with high liter engines. Numbers just keep going up god. 6.0 will go down as a beast of a legend.
If it’s any thing like the 6.0 it has no balls to pull but it’s a good running around and work truck I’ve had 2 of them but I have my duramax for pulling
