The room isn’t a “Zombie Room”. It’s an isolation room. It’s for soldiers who have went insane.

Maybe the soldiers that went insane became monsters or something, very strange.
There is blood on the floor if I'm correct. And that monster or whatever from below definitely wasn't human.

I could create one of these secret missions:
Step 1: Find the pile of corpses on the far east side of the Fort Vaux map.
Step 2: Once there locate the soldier's body who's favorite food was spaghetti.
Step 3: Remove all of the soldier's clothing while not damaging any clothing or touching the body.
Step 4: Take the fallen soldier's clothes to the row of houses on the southwest side of northeast corner of the far west intersection on the east side of the map.
Step 5: Enter the house that used to house at least 1, but not more than 3 people. The house is distinguishable by the fact that it has walls and a door.
Step 6: Place the soldier's clothes inside the potbelly stove and ignite them. Once the clothes have all burned, remove the ashes and reassemble the clothes.
Step 7: Return to the original gravesite and put the clothes back on the soldier, again without touching him.
Step 8: Here's a fucking dog tag

It's not a zombie
It plays the 1942 theme. Then the water flows though the pipe, as the theme is being "refreshed".
This is 100% a nod to the next game being in WW2.
MedikPac A dev confirmed that it's just the BF1 theme. Not the 1942 theme.

For anything one doing this, you should know that you can restart the valves by looking to the right side of them and pressing the button to interact

Thank you for the guide, Jack! I just recently unlocked that dog tag thanks to you. You are a legend! Edit: Two years later and I still get shivers every time I hear that all too familiar Battlefield theme alongside that ominous comformation sound.
Foot note for valve section of this : if it doesn't work "close" both valves, wait till they stop turning. then start 9L 6R etc. or resist playing with the first valve you unblock. =/

There's a BF1 Easter egg community on a Discord server who found out 1.5 years after the release of the game
We didn't find it a year and a half later, it was added in the patch a couple weeks ago.

I assume you’re new because people thought that before with the BF4 dog tags when actually it allowed access for a different part of the whole Easter egg. Considering they keep playing round with these Zombie Monster noises... this definitely ain’t the end game.

It's good to mention that when you've thrown the grenades, DO NOT OPEN THE RIGHT VALVE. I kept thinking i miscounted the turns at the end, but its because i opened the valve on the right before knifing the pipes

I was just playing Zeebrugge tonight, and when I picked up the Infiltrator kit halfway through the game of Conquest off of the E flag I heard the smoke monster growl. Have you ever heard of that Jack? I thought it was very weird
Yeah the Zeebrugge EE starts when you go on top of the watertower with the infiltrator kit. If you haven't already done that
I’ve already done all that and have all the current Easter Egg stuff save for this new Room dogtag. And the water tower is on the other side of the map at A. When I picked up the Infiltrator during my Easter egg hunt, I didn’t hear any smoke monster noise. I also didn’t mention that my experience above was the second time I had picked up the Infiltrator in one round, and it was only on the second time I heard the smoke monster. Like I said, very weird.
I mean, watching this, in 2023, couldn't this be a reference to Amnesia: The Bunker?! I know it's a far fetched idea.... but still
It's a french bunker, with some strange creature in an isolated locked room...

i'd love to have a battlefield mode of just endless zombies rushing the trenches while thirty two players strive to defend the front lines.
On PS4 BF1 there wasn't a Fort De Vaux Conquest server available this late in the game's lifespan, so I decided I would drop the $2 for a 24 hr. server rental and do it myself. Anyone reading this in 2021 or beyond, be wary, I don't think this is still possible (at least if you're renting a server yourself).
