I just spent several minutes reading through the comments. Your subscribers are in large majority a great bunch of people. All positive and forward thinking, people of goodwill , kindness and encouragement. Makes me feel good about the future of humankind amid all that’s going crazy these days.
Love watching you plow. We got between 10 and 15 inches from the storm here in NE Ohio. I have a B2301 with a loader and 72" back blade. Clearing my drive and the neighbor's drive was pretty easy but I saw you do something that made me stop and think - pushing in reverse with the back blade. In the back of my mind I knew you could do that but never really thought to try it. That would have made moving some of the mess a lot easier. I'll have to keep that in mind for the next storm. It's warm here today - made it to 42 and has started to cool off. It's supposed to be below zero Saturday morning! Glad to hear everyone there is doing well. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
I would argue that a heated cab is also in the heated driveway category. Yes I'm completely jealous. I'm thinking pop off the loader and mount up a front mounted hydraulic angle plow. Shorter is always better when plowing. I have a 4231 ventrac with a plow, what a blast to plow with a small articulating machine. It used to be motorcycles, now it's tractors/equipment. As I age the value of hydraulic levers increases.
I enjoy watching you plow the snow. I can watch you or any other type of plowing, grading or dirt removal. I guess I just want to be out there also. Hope Eva is doing well. Stay safe.
You should get a snowblower and a plow. That would be one killer setup with that tractor. Add a tow strap and shovel and you’ve got the Mike Morgan Snow Strorm bail out kit!
Good evening everyone, 48º in Kansas City. It is difficult to have an early comment with these afternoon videos, I’m busy at the Stihl store. Next week I will be performing my first pilgrimage to Stihl in Virginia Beach. Stay safe, be humble & kind and have a day. 251k
Nice Job plowing. It is satisfying like mowing the grass. I know the feeling about being responsible for keeping large parking lots and roadways clear and safe during the winter. It builds up tension that does not go away until spring. You are responsible for many other people’s jobs and ability to work. You think how you could finish if something breaks by having plan “B” and plan “C” ready. Your house and yard come second and that feels bad. The truth is you are not in control when going up against Mother Nature. She always wins. Making sure the heat stays on in commercial buildings is the same kind of stress. I won’t miss it when I retire.
I bought a regular pick up plow 8 foot power angle modified a quick attach plate mounted it to it and a put some hydraulic lines to fit my skid steer and plow with it now I love it you should try one and see what you think!
Hello Morgans, just want to let you know I received my Outdoor with the Morgans shirt, it is so cool, love it, thank you Melissa for the note with the shirt, I really enjoy you guys!
We got close to 30 inches took 2 days to clean up the snow. We live in rural Erie County (bullseye of the snowbelt). I use my Mahindra tractor with a back blade.
They are dropping off our L3560 tomorrow, had to get some work done to the loader… the dealer had it a month so I’ve missed out on two snow storms that I had to shovel my driveway. Can’t wait to get it back
That is how I learned to drive a tractor! 👍 I don’t know how many hours I spent on a MF 35 with a rear blade and a bucket... Just a simple cab on it, no heat and no wipers... And hardly any worklights! 🤣 But I’m happy for all the experience it gave me, especially in my young years. (Started to learn when i was 12 years old.) Sadly no pictures... Best wishes from Sweden! 🇸🇪
When I was selling cars in the 90's, I was 1 of the guys who would come i early and stay late to get the plowing done, I too enjoyed that, kind of miss it. Here in Milwaukee, the city has been screaming for plow truck drivers, thought about it, but health will not allow for a CDL anymore. Take Care Mike.
As a poor man I took a piece of PVC pipe and made a rip down one side and slide it on my blade for cleaning snow on gravel. I never drag rocks with that set up.
I am really impressed with the plow on the rear that does a great job. But with that nice tractor and cab I think you need a nice power angle plow for the front then you could really move some snow ❄
Mike, I know exactly what you mean about clearing snow. It is very much like cutting grass. Instant satisfaction and gratification of a job well done! 👍💪
I'm from Gladstone Manitoba Canada and we have close to two feet of snow on the level. I look after 13 residential driveways that i do automatically, but on big snowfalls ive done as many as 25. My main machine is a Polaris sportsman xp 1000 with tracks and a 60" blade with power angle. I like it as its more maneuverable in smaller places. For deep stuff or to widen things out i use a 1330se walk behind Jhon deere snowblower. Yep nothing blows snow like a deere. Lol. This set up works great for me as yours works great for you with those long driveways. 😀
Feel you on the commercial plowing. Did it for several years for a company that specializes in commercial and industrial sites. For years I looked after two very large industrial properties which was not too bad, but when I took over a series of 24/7 drive-thru restaurants, a fire station and a very large (Hospital sized) Seniors complex it was very taxing on the system. It was not until years later when I began plowing properties owned and operated for the Utility I work for now, that I began to enjoy it again. PS. I liked the advert.
Enjoyed watching someone else (you) plowing snow . We have been moving snow here in northern Ontario since Tuesday with the nights sliding down to a balmy -28 with a the wind chill -38 . Be safe
Looks like you are adding to the cinematography by getting Levi to swing a cam when he’s nearby! I’d love to have a cab for my 3901, but always feared I’d bump a tree on my hillside rocky land and blow out windows.
Mike, YOU my good sir, are a GREAT man, as a great Samaritan. I am constantly fascinated by the amount of work you do. When I had a snowblower that worked (Toro) for over 10 years, I would clear the neighbors’ sidewalks (we live in a near city suburban area) which has ALOT of sidewalks and ALLEYS. My old Toro finally crapped out after 10 years and 2 repairs. I bought a NEW snowblower (plows are NOT a good idea in my neck of the woods), which can only mean ONE thing. I will likely NOT receive much more snow this winter. 😂 Get prepared, NOTHING HAPPENS.
It is really good to have a cab on your tractor I plow snow and people think that I need to come in and get warm I'm in the cab with the heater on and the radio playing with out my coat on. You are right Kubota heaters work very well.
I know you are a Kubota fan, you might look at the RTV1100C with the plow attachment. Would allow you to plow facing forward with plenty of power to push any amount of snow. We have the RTV and a MX 5200, but only use the blade on the tractor for ice.
I plow with a Holder C500 as pictured. It has a 4 way blade on the front and a 2 way blade on the back. Also have a 7 foot snowblower for the front. Nice machine since you sit forward in the tractor. It also has all wheel drive if needed.
Mike you need a snow plow for the front of that tractor. They work great and so much easier to direct snow going forward than that blade going backwards.
When I push snow with a tractor and blade I was usually running in reverse with the blade turned facing AWAY from the tractor, and offset and slightly angled. This allowed the snow to be pushed off of the road and I wasn't having to back over any piles. Potato, potahto, I suppose. EDIT: At 11:34 mark I see that you were doing kind of the same thing without the blade turned around. The GOOD thing about just running the blade in original position, but in reverse is that you don't dig up as much of your gravel!!!
Mike, I like the rear blade but I think I would need it longer. I have an 8 ft HLA front plow. Way more effective then the rear blade with hydraulics coming from the rear.. Stay safe young fellow. Burin, Newfoundland , Canada
I’ve watched your videos for some time very enjoyed and I’m a big stihl man and been cutting firewood 45 years . Glad to see your wife is helping with choices in outdoor wood working. Just super great to watch these. You and your Family are super people! Thank you for all you Vedios
Mike my LX2610 heats up the cab so warm that after a few minutes I am turning it down just like you. That heater is very effective and so is the air conditioning for that matter. I have the 64 inch snowblower on the front and the 72 in back blade on the back. Great for dragging snow away from the building and for pushing it when I need to. Great setup. I sent you a picture last week. Take care from western Massachusetts
Great job Mike, you guys are hogging all the snow over there. We got a dusting here in west central Oh. Haven't had a good snow in several years. Watched a video from Tom Hause this morning, he is cleaning out his truck inside a nice warm garage. Thank you for including us in your lives!
Really surprised you don’t have a front snow blower you are the kubota hoarder ..those are awesome ...the back plow never did it for me ..cool vlogs !!
Been doing commercial snow for 20 years. I've ran everything from atvs up to wheeled loaders. I still get stressed out every storm. I also do a hospital and private school.
Mike I live in SW Washington and we receive very little snow on our yard. It can snow heavy three miles away and very little here. I am glad your enjoy it and more than happy that it falls other places and not on me. Still praying for Eva that she continues to heal and this will all be in her past. God bless you and your family.

I cannot believe that I worked 5 hours using my John Deere to clear my 1/2 mile driveway and parking area. Now I am watching you do the same. Crazy.
And that's a "DAY" thanks again Mike. Enjoyed the ride along.

Getting my Bx2380 delivered tomorrow. To late for the last snow fall. But I’ll be better prepared for the next!
Mike I look forward to your videos eveyday. Just away to think about hanging it all up.
Mike! You need a front mounted snowblower for that MX5400!
Front snow blowers usually connect to mid PTO. I doubt the MX5400 has a mid pto
@@MikeIngold Time for an upgrade then. That would be a whole new episode!
I Took a family over to New Willmington today. I saw the snow.
Hey Mike. Tell someone with some power there at Kubota, they need intermittent wipers.
Spotted a City owned Kubota M100GX with a front mount blower. Many that thing was a beast cleaning off the sidewalk.
I am really impressed with the plow on the rear that does a great job. But with that nice tractor and cab I think you need a nice power angle plow for the front then you could really move some snow ❄
My thoughts exactly. Either a nice rubber edge pusher box or power angle plow with a rubber edge to keep from chewing up those gravel driveways. Dave
Absolutely front plow, it's wonderful!
Interesting. I hated my front low and went back to a rear low plus my bucket on the front when needed. Just seems easier to control to me.
I have a rear blade. Thanks for showing me the push techniques. Jim from Leesburg Virginia
