That's what many of us do. Over the past few years I have watched every single yacht/boat tour Nick has made. Not to mention all of the walking tours on this channel he made in 2020 during the height of Covid when he couldn't make boat videos. Plus all of his RV tours & car videos on his other channel MOTAHOLIC. His presentation style is very calm & relaxing. Some have said Nick is the David Attenborough of yachts.
I never really got into sail boats but this one could change my mind ....😊 . I like how the shower and loo are separate from each other and the microwave, wow , have never seen one set up like that one .
Wow i'm really blown away with this yacht ... it's like a proper house/flat on the water ... if i had the money (Euro millions win tonight prayer mat looked out lol) i would buy it ... i would make one or two alterations like fit a freezer in somewhere ... this would be a perfect live aboard ... now if you could only get a powered yacht with a similar layout .... Cheers for sharing this amazing yacht Nick ... you really blew me away ❤
It can be surprisingly accessible. The most time consuming thing to learn are the knots; actually sailing the boat comes fairly naturally since the only sails that need managing are the jib and main sheet, which is 3 ropes max. I've taken sailing classes as a complete newbie and by the end I could solo sail and set up a small Sunfish (~18 ft training boats).
You don’t even need to sail most modern sailboats. They usually come with engines that are powerful enough to leisurely take them from place to place with the addition of an electronically controlled main sail.
Most sailboat manufacturers offer solid railings but many buyers opt out of it due to the drastically higher price compared to wire railings. If you have the cash to spend they can be a great option.
I really do enjoy the tour of these sailing yachts with their ingenious designs. Always seem to have a sensible user friendly layout. Thanks once again Nick.
These sailing yacht videos keep getting better and better, yet another beautiful interior really clean and crisp finishes and well thought out design and as always appear to be voluminous. Cheers Nick.
Never really gave sailboats a thought until COVID hit. Now I am 1 out of a gazillion to want to get away to the sea with one. Then it’s going to be crowded out there too! Like water world. I’m in! Thanks Nick! Excellent channel! Going on 2 years for my subscription and I haven’t gotten an invoice yet! Love it!
Why don't these sailboats come with biminis? I watch sailing channels and many struggle to add/fit one "after market" custom. It seems like most everyone would want this option over their primary outdoor seating area, just as we see with the crusiers. They ought offer a hard top (for solar) and perhaps also a soft top. Comments?
Sorry Nick, I will respectfully disagree, No, not that easy to get to (life raft) specifically if you turtle, which of course would be unexpected, in rough water. A little late and hard to get. However, with the exception of my nitpicking safety equipment (Hydrostatic Release would go along way); another exceptional tour of a wonderful Boat, I absolutely love this exceptional layout. BZ Nick!! Quality tour!
I am loving seeing more sailing yachts, and one today that is a lower price (I think). To be fair most sailing yachts are extremely reasonable (for a boat!). Brilliant as always Nick!
What a very nice boat, excellent use of space, none of the areas are compromised to the point they fail in their given tasks. All in all a cracking bit of kit, very desirable indeed. Excellent tour, thank you and take care of yourself. 👍👍👍🚢🛥☠⛴🛳🏴☠️🚤⛵⚓😎
Hey Mr Aquaholic, thank you so much for your videos. have watched nearly al of them as I sail myself, on the lake constance though. Really want to get into the open sea sailing, but as most people, I cannot do it financially yet. Rather stupid idea: can you do a 2 Videos: One for a very cheap mediteranien/atlantik sail boat (under 100k) and one, where the price is the exact number of your subscribers? would love to see that, might even be a little funny in a way. Hope your channel grows and wish you all the best. Keep doing what you do!
Thanks, Nick, for another great video with great content, one of the best boat interiors I think I've seen. However, I just can't do with all the faff of dealing with sail, give me two keys, two starter buttons and two throttles, easy peasy...
Hi Nick, I was thinking about your house today and that floor downstairs, have you thought of epoxy flooring? There are some amazing epoxy designs that could be done..Love this 490, very nice for the family adventure! See you tomorrow!
General question about sailboats: Is there a separate generator, or does the main engine kick in periodically to recharge the batteries? I wonder what the noise is like in the cabins if that 80 hp diesel rattles to life with your head a foot away from it.
Lots of options for charging the batteries. Some boats will have room for a separate generator. You can also charge from engine, solar or wind power. There are also towed power generators - like a prop working in reverse to generate power in the water as you sail.
you got a yacht like that or any.i will have a bluetti generator.its solar electric.no smoke, fumes, noise and such.it is a mini power grid that you can charge your tesla with.lol.check out hobotech.;)
overall a very nice yacht. The only thing I don't like is the sink in the shower for guest cabins. Why not removing direct access from cabin 2 and you create a wet area? cheers
Beautiful sailing yacht, design, finishes & layout . Nick, your vlogs are always great quality & content . A pleasure to watch & look forward to . With you . Mark (Toronto) 💙🌈
Great layout, very contemporary and roomy. I am not convinced about the clean cutlery being in the same compartment as the bin but other than that, great boat overall.

Good vlog Nick, as always. I look forward to your doubling up with Tristan at Cannes Boat Show!!!! Interesting and beautiful boat, loved the port shrouds in the galley. You didn't mention any standard electronics; is she not fitted with any or did you just miss them....
Agreed a great boat nick , I would say that some of the design features are better than the normal princess / sunseeker offerings , especially the wood finishes & the separate WC etc .
The interior looks sooooooo good! Great colours and finishes. This would be perfect for my family, if I coud sail... hahaha! Great tour, Nick. Thanks. Cheers!
Agree totally with Chris L. This is one of the best sailboats you’ve toured. Really well appointed and just all round a great looking craft. Rather taken with it.
Hi nick Great quality video as usual Just wondering if u ever be able to bring us some explorer super yacht videos! Also can u ever get onboard a Hessen super yacht?
Hi nick lovely yacht and we’ll laid out , in your experience do many people transition from cruisers to yachts or does it tend to be one or the other . Obviously the skill set is different , and would you given the opportunity fancy giving sailing a go . Best wishes and kind regards . 😀👍👍👍
Forgive me is someone else has already asked,or if you have already explained it. That storage area at the front of the boat, why are there hand latches on the inside of it? Enjoy all of your videos. Thank you.
I’m not as partial to the galley right along side the main lounge/table area. I prefer galley back and then really large full width lounge/work/eat area. Also no extras for this price? (I didn’t notice electronics. )
Love this Yacht. The interior finishes are superbly done. If you have ever sailed the part that makes it is the silence, it is an almost surreal experience. But the wind, seas and weather are never the same which is a challenge that puts me at odds with it. always nice to be on someone else’s yacht and enjoy the ride than be the one responsible 😀
I only checked about 11am this morning for a new video and wondered if Nick's house transformation was the replacement and then we get this which is exactly what I want to look at during the Southampton Boat Show so thanks Nick!
Very nice. Do you any catamaran /dual haul on the channel? There are so many boating channels that I'm sure I would be able to find one elsewhere however I really like the way you present the yachts so I'm partial yo #Aquaholic
I really liked this one - love the clean modern interior but didn't like the cutlery draw just over the bin - yuk! that's pretty minging, but otherwise, great boat!
The only thing I see that I don't like about this boat is there is no instrumentation at the helms, No radar, nothing that I could see, IMO this make this boat rather unsafe if you had to navigate into a crowded harbor or dodge fishing pots at night. But that's just the opinion of a landlubber, Thank a million for another great video.
Whilst you're right, there are plenty of bare grp areas that you could Plum navigation equipment in, like near the port helm and under the compass on the table. I'm guessing this one just isn't sold with the nav equipment.
I spotted some instrumentation on sides of the cockpit table, so you can see them when standing by the wheel(s), while table has to be folded (no problem since it would be folded most of the time while under sails).
I'm not into sail yachting but below decks lay out is most agreeable to me. I don't understand masts etc but found the main saloon free of the mast intruding into it. Also the owners cabin was squared off because of the bulkhead lockers 👍 no pointy bed there👌so all in all 👍
I was missing a look at the navigation and engine controls from the helm position. Didn't really seem to have any console near the helm? Also.. this seems to be one of the things I am missing on most of the @aquaholic sailboat reviews actually, a look at the navigation and controls.. do love watching the channel regardless though :)
Nice boat but for that amount of money I would not have steel cables running through my galley, hull-ribs running through my bedroom or visible piping in the bathroom.😏 They could’ve paid a little more attention to detail if you ask me.
As a sailor looking at this, try working in that galley area when the boat is heeled without flying to the other side of the boat.... definitely a boat to be in a med marina or med anchorage.... if that's your thing, fill your boots. Definitely a boat aimed for the charter market... For the price, size and volume excellent, but wouldn't want to be doing any rough passages.
How's it different from other sailboats? What specifically prevents using this boat for ocean crossings? People sail around the world in sailboats far smaller than this all the time.
@@sl66ggehrubt You're absolutely right, smaller boats cross oceans all the time, but size alone doesn't necessarily equal blue water cruiser. My point re galley on this one and 'vs other sailboats', is you need to be able to brace in a seaway. On this boat, if you are heeled the other way, you'll constantly be falling into the saloon table. Looking at this picture of a Najad the galley is brought aft so you are easily wedged between the cockpit/ engine bay on one side, and the galley work top on the other if you are heeling away from the galley. najad.se/boat/n395-cc/#interior-2 najad.se/boat/n395-cc/#interior-1 The other thing is hand holds, moving around the boat, you need hand holds to fall easily and closely, you can't have big distances between hand holds. These delightfully beautiful interiors are amazingly open and excellent, but only great when you are walking around the boat when it's flat as Nick is. I'm not suggesting he does his videos on a 15 degree heel, but you would quickly notice the difference between sailing boats. The Najad is in another price bucket though, the one Yachting Monthly tested was over £550k (www.yachtingmonthly.com/reviews/yacht-reviews/the-mini-superyacht-meet-the-najad-395-ac), which is why i was saying, the space and volume you get at this price point does make it an attractive boat for coastal sailing. All these things, come down to how you will use the boat, and why chartering is a great way to try a lot of different boats and work out what works for you!
Now this is my kinda yacht! Light, modern and with the right balance of comfortable accommodation with proper nav area etc.
You are spoiling us with another sailing yacht, love the clever layout of this one, very nice indeed. Great tour as always .

This yacht is perfect. Great layout design and very spacious for below 50 footer sailboat
One of the best and more thoughtful design in layouts I've seen. Love this one.

Agreed, total faff if you don't enjoy it.

Excellent video Nick, what i don't understand regarding sailing boats is why they have wired railings and not proper railings like the motor boats?
Weight I think. Wire is lighter than stainless steel tubing.
Most sailboat manufacturers offer solid railings but many buyers opt out of it due to the drastically higher price compared to wire railings. If you have the cash to spend they can be a great option.
Nice to see a modern production boat with a proper chart table !!
At 300k, this is better than a lot of London apartments.
