I got the AT&T Prepaid variant from Walmart for $59.....and it has 128 rather than 64 storage. I'm really impressed to have paid $59 for a phone that looks sleek, has a decent camera, has good stereo speakers, 128 storage, an sd card slot and headphone jack, and a surprisingly good stylus experience. In fact, having had each model of this phone the past 3 years, I notice big improvements with note-taking.....I can do fine lines with little lag and tight control. Oh, it's also crazy that the most affordable phone I've ever bought also has the longest-lasting battery.
I'm glad you posted this comment because I've had this phone in my cart on the website for a couple of weeks now and I've teetered back and forth between getting it or not getting it. This review has kind of pushed me towards getting it and your comment as well!
I just bought mine yeterday at walmart $59 im on the at&t plan. I couldn't believe the price for such a nice phone . My old phone was a 5 year old Motorola that keep plugging along but was starting to have a glitch here and there and the battery is starting to get weaker
I'm sitting in the Walmart parking lot Right now after getting the same deal and trying to see if I made a good blind purchase or should I just walk back in and get a refund 😄 Thanks for your comforting review 👍
Anyone review the sound quality through the headphone jack? I'm interested in buying this as a FLAC/mp3 player. Not too many phones with the headphone jack left.
The stylus has great speaker using a head phone once u have original head phone its will play super loud and clear with bass...I use a Samsung head set... They play top notch with the Motorola
Last year I had the Motorola 2022 stylus and it was really good but it was too big for my pockets and every time I would bend it it would be uncomfortable. So I bought this moto 2023 on Amazon for 107 and so far I very pleased with it.
I paid $65 thats with tax and got a 128gb memory built in it. The face unlock, thumb unlock, and the 50mp camera was all great! No complaints here other then the stylus pen app popping back on when I've X it out is all. Worth $65 put my prepaid at&t sim card in from my last At&t prepaid so
I got the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 back in November. This was to replace my Moto G7, which I had for almost five years. I normally buy new phones after three years, but I wasn't working for a long time. My new phone is fantastic. Long battery life if I don't use 5G & just use it for texting & phone calls. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor is very fast compared to my old phone which had the Snapdragon 632 4G, which was slow, slow to connect to the internet & drained the battery life. I was constantly using battery saver to save battery life, so my phone wouldn't die within a day or two. My only complaints about the phone are the cameras. The rear is good as long as I don't zoom in, while the front camera isn't as good as my previous. Also, I got the phone at $249.99 at Best Buy. Moto phones always drop in price which is why they sell more than Google, OnePlus, Samsung & Apple. For several years, Moto is ranked 3rd in overall sales while Apple & Samsung are on top.
They really had this phone on sale for 40 bucks? That's crazy. I would have absolutely picked one up just because if i had known about the price. That's a stupid cheap price for it. It's a very good phone at 200. Edit…ah you are talking about the 4g version. It's 59.99 now. 40 was still a great price, though!
all i know is that i miss lg... and looking at the software for most of these phones what i dont like is the uniformity of the display screens. and after trying the Motorola i dont like how im limited to font STYLES not font size. i hope they one day gove the option for a software store like samsung dose and how lg did
This is the best review I seen on this phone. It’s on clearance at Costco Canada because the new model is out. I might just get this and set it on battery saver and use it as a pocket YT watcher to save the battery of my “real” phones 😅😅🤣🤣
It's not a bad device as I definitely would not use one as a daily driver. I got one as a backup, but it was aggravating removing the bloat from an unlocked phone.
I wouldn't use it as a main phone either. I am use to flagships. I was just curious on how Moto did budget phones. It wasn't too bad as a throw away $80 phone but I wouldn't have paid the orginal $400 for this phone. Seems like the deal I got was priced right for all the issue it has. Seems like if you mulitask it force closes a lot of things. And if you play some games that aren't causal but not AAA the phone can lag. Seems like the software is that great. Also Moto has short software support for their line of phones.
@@peterparker2068 Yeah, for me it's too janky to use every single day. Way too stuttery for my liking. The display is pleasantly nice for what it is though.
@jamesm568, this was probably my first Moto phone in years. I wondered how good or bad budget phones have been lately. I heard that they were pretty good for everyday consumers. When I saw this phone with decent specs, I decided to try it out. It’s perfectly fine for light tasks and multimedia, but once you try doing more things with it, the experience changes. Two years ago, I was traveling in Southeast Asia and decided to try one of the budget Chinese phones for $140 USD-the Redmi 10c. It has similar specs to the Moto Stylus 5G, but the Stylus has a better and newer CPU and screen. Surprisingly, the performance of the Redmi has been better: no stutters or lags compared to the Moto. I’m not sure what Moto did, but their software integration is subpar. The task killing on the phone is aggressive. This is definitely not a $400 phone, but considering the way other carriers sell it for $40-100, I can understand. For the price I paid, I would say it accurately reflects the value I receive from it.
@@jamesm568 Not sure if their newer flagships are suppose to be better. Some of the other smaller tech youtubers are pointing out the value on phones like the Think phone which dropped to around $400. My guess if your hardware is still good enough then subpar software wouldn't matter as much. I still own and use old flagships as secondary devices and they work perfectly fine still: S8+, LG G8, pixel 3. It's only the Moto that is frustrating me. If I were a reviewer I would jump on it but as someone who just plays with things for fun if it's the right price but $400 is still a big investment for me if it's going to be a toy. I don't mind putting down a big chuck of money if I'm confident in the brand and the phone. I already put down money for the s24 Ultra so no more toys for a while.
I remember that number scramber thing Moto has. Its a major annoyance for me. If you need that in your life you are around pure enemies! If you have to go-to any lengths to protect your phones security like that you have yourself in the wrong situation. I can't imagine living my life where i was around anyone that i had to hide my pins or passwords from.
I am very dissapinment to buy this cell phone the only think that I like is the analog clock style and suddenly disappeared I send to motorola one week and don't fix nothing ... don't waste your money ... three motorals have the same problem ...
@@C0UGHEE It's $60 AT&T version with free shipping on Walmart atm but OMG this guy got it for $40 so I can wait since I decided on a Galaxy A54 but wanted the stylus so if this ever go for $40 again I'm snatch one for drawing. Not bad at all for 128gb storage & 4g ram phone although the SOC isn't the best but it goes very cheap often specially with the carrier versions...
In a couple of areas, but in other areas, a definite upgrade. The 2023 has stereo speakers...the 2022 does not. The 2023 has Android 13, with planned upgrade to 14, vs. the Android 12 on the 2022, with planned upgrade to 13. The lowest storage on the 2023 is 128 g vs. 64 on the 2022. The maximum charging on the 2022 is 10w vs. 15 w. on the 2023. Plus, it's hard to put this on a spec sheet, but having had both, I can tell you that the stylus / writing experience on the 2023 is much better. No skipped lines vs. many skipped lines on the 2022.

Very good review! I went through a lot of reviews to find out about a FM radio feature 📻🎶
Love the stereo speakers 🔉🔊🎶 and stylus ✍️too!
The one I just got for boost mobile has NFC. It's the only one of them that has it. I paid 150$ at Walmart

good review video
Camera interface and stylus looks like clone of Samsung. Cool. From a note user that is not paying 2k for new Samsungs this looks neat. Great review
I was looking for that phone but is out of stock at target store so I had to get the Moto G 2024 o well I'll try that one

Does this have a Split screen?
To my knowledge all moto phones do .I've had their lowest tier phone the "moto g pure" and it did

There are 4 font options on moto
How is this phone only $40?? Thats insane value
I was just looking it up, and it's actually on special for $9.88, less than $10, if you buy and activate in store at Walmart until 6/23/24!
