Ryota was definitely insensitive with his words towards Akina when he rejected her. He was honest about it but should’ve word it better. However he is a high school boy and he has his own preference in the type of girls he likes. So I can’t completely blame him for choosing Kannagi at that first because he was into her from the start, especially since he didn’t know Kannagi’s true nature and intentions yet. It took a whole month but at least he eventually saw right through Kannagi’s facade. Plus within that month Ryota finally realized just how much Akina truly means to him. I’m glad he apologized and also understands that he deserves all the criticism that he might get (especially from us viewers) for switching girlfriends that quickly but more importantly for hurting Akina. So many good life lessons on this one story. Wonderful job I loved it 😁
Well, I feel like if you have know a girl for 12 years and she acts like one of the guys than it is probably gonna be a relationship where you are blunt. I say this because me and this girl, that I was friends with since I was 7, were like this. She never took it wrong and neither did I. Honestly, our roles were reversed, so I was the one rejected for being too close of a friend and she stated pretty much the same thing. (I was the nice to everyone nerd in middle school and high school). We stayed friends.

Then he saw through Kannagi's intentions and realized just how important Akina was to him and that she only went out with him to hurt his best friend. Ryota was really rude to Akina at the beginning of the story, but I'm glad that they got together at the end. It was really sweet seeing them confess their love for one another, especially after what happened earlier in the story. Plus tomboy Akina is good too and is still girlfriend material.
The ending is stupid. Akina should've rejected Ryota after getting dumped. He was being a jerk. He doesn't deserve to date women after he graduates. Let him live the rest of his life as a loner.
As much as I want to agree that the MC is a jerk in this story I can say that what Fuyuka did was worse then what the MC did. As heartbreaking as it is to get rejected using someone for your own personal grain is way worse specially just because someone popular then you don't make it right to play with someone else feeling. I'm glad the MC teached her a lesson.

My problem is that he trust a girl's words (which is his type) he just got to know on the first day and even dated her on that same day. How do I know he and her only met for a day when they started dating? Well, u can tell because he was clearly flustered when he suddenly got bombarded with the praise from the crush. Nonetheless I absolutely agree that he didn’t do things the correct way.

You missed the point. When he said that he considers her" one of the guys", it was never meant to be an insult. If you paid closer attention he said that he initially found her cute, but her behavior was more like a boy than a girl he'd go out with. That's all it was.
Honestly it's really Akima who's at fault. She liked him for so long but never asked him out, never really stated her feelings for him. But when some girl asks the guy out she then tries to do the same? Yeah the other girl didn't show signs but at least she asked first, unlike Akima who also didn't show signs. I know some people might not agree with me on this but when it comes to classic teen romance situation. But I don't really like the troop of having a genuine girl who is either nerd or boyish or anything else, that has a deep genuine love to her crush. Only to get rejected than has to change her appearance and behaviour completely to appeal the guy. than the guy same start to look her way all become of this change. I rather have ryota getting rejected by Akina this time and than have him wanting to win her heart back. Like a role reversesal. Sure he did eventually learn and understand his mistake and his stupidity. But let's be honest here all of that happen, because all it takes is too change and become something that he would rather have her to be than just loving her the way she truly is. Again some of you might not agree with me. But I really find that way to win someone heart. Especially when that is the requirements to win someone heart. Is bit to swallow to me. The thing is, you're missing that her appearance changing did absolutely nothing here. He immediately apologizes for rejecting her, and in the month with his girlfriend, realized that things weren't what they seemed and the one he should have given a chance is the friend. The friend also said she changed her appearance because she's bad at that sort of thing, which is also why he didn't notice that she liked him, but at no point did it really matter to why he responded to her feelings because he does note that she's attractive in the beginning.
Damn. That final confrontation hit different. She went through all that just to spite Akina. It was one of those, “I’m going to reveal all of my evil to the hero but you can still join me in a mutually beneficial relationship.” kind of things.

I hate that anime and Manga tells that if women want to get the man they want they must change their looks and personality dramatically to find love. I'd love a story where the girl stays how she is. If she's shy and chubby theirs no need for her to change her body type to find love. Just change the main characters outlook on beauty. If a girl is tomboyish and is seen as one of the guys she shouldn't have to change into a different woman to find love. She should be strong in who she is because that's how a tomboyish girl is. No woman or man should feel like they should ever change their looks or personality just to be seen as a possible love interests. And a main character should not be this much if a jerk in any media unless we're seeing a story from the jerks perspective.

I mean I don't blame Ryota for rejecting Akina, a lot of men in high school have done stupid things to get a pretty girl (vice-versa for women of the same age group with handsome lads) and he thought he had his own taste in women thought out. Then he saw through Kannagi's intentions and realized just how important Akina was to him and that she only went out with him to hurt his best friend. Good thing he wised up when he did otherwise she would have put a wedge between them that could have never been fixed and dumped him when she thought he fulfilled his purpose.

Nah the villain ruined the story. It could have been a great wholesome story, but instead they made the mc an idiot. To be honest, villains in romcom manga don't suit it because it makes the mc an idiot which everyone dislikes.

Ryota was really rude to Akina at the beginning of the story, but I'm glad that they got together at the end. It was really sweet seeing them confess their love for one another, especially after what happened earlier in the story.

As heartbreaking as it is to get rejected using someone for your own personal grain is way worse specially just because someone popular then you don't make it right to play with someone else feeling. I'm glad the MC teached her a lesson.

My problem is that he trust a girl's words (which is his type) he just got to know on the first day and even dated her on that same day. If I were in his situation, I wouldn't have dated the childhood friend or the crush. I would've gotten to know about her first before dating her.

Honestly it's really Akima who's at fault. She liked him for so long but never asked him out, never really stated her feelings for him. The thing is, you're missing that her appearance changing did absolutely nothing here. He immediately apologizes for rejecting her, and in the month with his girlfriend, realized that things weren't what they seemed and the one he should have given a chance is the friend. The friend also said she changed her appearance because she's bad at that sort of thing, which is also why he didn't notice that she liked him, but at no point did it really matter to why he responded to her feelings because he does note that she's attractive in the beginning.
The main character has the audacity to ask her childhood friend after being such a jerk. What a trash main character, Akina deserves better.

I hate that anime and Manga tells that if women want to get the man they want they must change their looks and personality dramatically to find love. I'd love a story where the girl stays how she is. If she's shy and chubby theirs no need for her to change her body type to find love. Just change the main characters outlook on beauty. If a girl is tomboyish and is seen as one of the guys she shouldn't have to change into a different woman to find love. She should be strong in who she is because that's how a tomboyish girl is. No woman or man should feel like they should ever change their looks or personality just to be seen as a possible love interests. And a main character should not be this much if a jerk in any media unless we're seeing a story from the jerks perspective.
