In the United States, all of these can easily kill a human.
4 bear species, 9 big cat species, 6 dear species, 3 wolf species (several subspecies), several coyote subspecies, several fox subspecies.

Which I found to be highly inaccurate to begin with.
A Moose for instance. At the shoulder is anywhere from 1.4 - 2.1 Meters at the shoulder.
There is then the neck, head , and Antlers.
The biggest recorded Antlers being 210 centimetres in length and weighing 36 kilograms.

I've heard that they are notorious, but I'm actually relieved that that isn't included. I have a HUGE phobia of spiders, to a point where I get jumpscared just from LOOKING at them.
On the “nature vs nurture,” debate with the pit bull terriers, just look at the difference between Diane and Editor Diane. Being chained up in an editing room makes humans surly too...

When the guy was showing a scorpion stinger and said the scorpion could bite you was when I knew this video might not be all it's cracked up to be.
That and when he was talking about the bite force of the grizzly bear (?) being 1160lbs per square inch when the force listed on the screen was 1600lbs. Slight difference.
He also said that black widows won't kill you, black widow bite kills 4 to 8 people per year in the united states.
@@mrspeigle1 When people die of black widow bites it's usually because of a combination of being very young, very old or very unhealthy plus upsetting a whole nest of the things and getting bitten multiple times. We had black widows where I grew up, and sometimes you'd find them in groups of 20+. One of them bites you, that sucks. 20 of them bite you, you're in serious, deadly trouble.
Scorpions can bite you, though. They don’t always sting. Still, I think he meant sting.

Animals are WAY scarier then people. I can mag dump a 9mm or a .45 into a human and they aren't ever getting up, a bear? Oh great now it's really pissed off.
In regards to dogs I totally agree with you - it is the owner’s responsibility to work with and train their pet so that it can be social. It is part of dog (pet) ownership.
//triggered pitties are by their nature more easy going than most working breeds. They are less territorial than most breeds. Probably the most challenging thing about them is they are stubborn. I am a lab lover but after that pitties are my favorite type of doggo.
I hate how this lie gets spread around the internet about how good owners have good dogs. Most pitbull attacks happen because they do have great owners and they want to protect them. It's sees the owner as part of it's pack and will attack thinking it's protecting the ones it loves and it's territory. Chihuahua's are actually one of the most aggressive and territorial breeds of dogs on the planet, but they're too small and weak to really harm anyone. Pitbulls act the same way, but they have the strength and power to kill.

@@Sandman60077 No,Pitbulls do not act the same way Chihuahuas do, at all. That is beyond ignorant. Pitbulls are smart and good with people, including children, when raised from birth in good environments. They are very strong and can be good guard dogs, junk yard dogs, dog fighting dogs and that's why they have a bad reputation because too many awful people raise them for those purposes. Some breeds like Chihuahuas and Dalmatians are overly inbred and just temperamental by nature but dogs like Pitbulls and Rottweilers take the brunt of the blame because they are sought out by people who want a violent dog and sadly raise them to be so.
Best habit I picked up after I moved to the desert was never put feet into shoes without shaking out the shoes. Same with picking things up off the floor. We had scorpions, black widows, brown recluse spiders, and rattlesnakes.

@@johnthomas2485 not personally but a friend got bit by a black widow in her shoe a month after I moved there. She was one of the first people I met. What was crazy was that she had kicked off her shoes under the table for about a half hour and put them back on.

That legend came about because the snake was a religious symbol and the pagans had them tattooed on them and needless to say he is noted to have brought Christianity to Ireland and his followers persecuted the Pagans so therefore the snakes were run out of Ireland, of course once he passed paganism came back with a vengeance and the Anglican church nearly was wiped out but managed to survive, it was later when Paganism was finally knocked out or went underground.

Heard a story a long time ago, from an ex-boss who liked to hunt. He and a friend were up in Canada, chilling in front of a general store, when a truck with a destroyed front end pulled up. I asked if the driver hit a moose; "not exactly."
It seems this (large male) moose was blocking the road, and taking his sweet time getting out of the way. Our impatient driver decided to shoo him away, and leaned on his horn for a good 10 seconds.
The moose turned around, took a good look, and *WHAM* head butted the front of the truck. Smashed the Hell out of it.
Based on the number of people killed and injured, the most dangerous animal in north America is the White Tail Deer. The deaths and injuries are caused by auto accidents involving deer and Lymes disease, which is a disease carried by deer ticks. Accidents with deer kill between 100-200 people each year in the U.S. There are over a million incidents of cars hitting deer each year, and the property damage is estimated at about $4 BILLION annually.
Depends where you live but moose are a hazard in the same way.

Where I grew up in Wisconsin you are taught that if you see one deer in or near the road there is at least one more you don't see.
The scariest thing to see at night is a herd of around 40 deer on the side of the road get spooked and take off in every direction to get away.
It's like seeing shrapnel from a hand grenade. You have no idea where each of them is headed.
I've even had one run into the side of my car near my trunk.
That's why there is the old joke about, "What is the best caliber for hunting whitetail? Dodge minivan."
I'd argue that "the most dangerous animal in North America" is the Homo sapiens, known specifically for it's voracious appetite to destroy all flora and fauna in its immediate surroundings.
A 10 point buck tried to ride the handlebars of my motorcycle on the way ro work one morning. luckily for me I wasn't going very fast and my windshield (which he destroyed) kept him out of my lap.
Having grown up in Texas: I always had to be on the lookout for scorpions, rattlesnakes, and copperheads. I once got stung, one the toe, by a scorpion that had been in my shoe. Was the only time I can remember not being punished by my mom for swearing. I was 12 at the time. Once again: a great video.
They'll crawl into anything. Our Reserve unit from Kansas City spent two weeks at 29 Palms, California and that base is littered with scorpions. One scorpion crawled into the sleeping bag of a company commander and it stung him in his family jewels.
The safest thing you can do is keep your distance from dangerous, volatile creatures. Don't make eye contact, and avoid giving them food or drink as this just makes things worse.
That's why I don't date anymore.
Pitbulls are some of the sweetest and most protective dogs you'll even meet if they are treated correctly.
Crappy thing is when you look up bite statistics in dog breeds notice they only say pitbulls instead of the specific breeds. Over 90% of “pitbulls” people own are actually American staffordshire terriers or American bullies. The reason the term pitbull is used is because it’s an umbrella term to clump the American staffordshire terrier, American bulldog, American bully, staffordshire bull terrier, English bull terrier, Boston terrier, and American pit bull terrier together. So when you see “pitbull” bite statistics keep in mind its 5 or more breeds clumped under one.

So are bears, lions, etc. But just like those animals, there is a lot of aggressive proclivity bred into pit bulls. People love to fool themselves, until the pit bull kills their baby or the neighbor dog. The truth is people love pit bulls because they are massively strong and bad ass. Then they want to talk about how sweet they really are. It's BS. If you have a pit bull, keep it behind a large fence.
@@myopicseer Ok. So then lions and bears etc are nicknamed nannies? Pitbulls are not inherently dangerous when raised properly. They are very protective of their families and when they are trained right they are nice to all humans except the ones that are a threat to their families. They have been known as nanny dogs for at least a century because they are caring when treated right. They are no more or less aggressive than a Rottweiler or German shepherd. Are there lines that have been bred for fighting and being aggressive? Yes. But saying that pitbulls are automatically more dangerous than any other dog period is like saying that one nation's people are more dangerous than another nation's people or vice versa.
American Staffordshire Terriers are lovely friendly dogs (my best buddy is one, a pound puppy too). However like all dogs they can become dangerous if mistrained or maltreated and while many dog breeds are much more aggressive, "Pitbulls" and similar breeds are stronger and more powerful so owners should acknowledge this. My best buddy says hello but he's tuckered out 8 miles on the trail today, what can I say he's a lazy dog now.
Honestly, I'm surprised there aren't memes about our nature like their is for Australia. There are a lot of animals in this country that can seriously mess you up, if you're not careful.

I'd say that Australia has nothing on Alaska. Alaska has polar bears, one of the only animals that will *actively hunt humans*. And moose are really fucking dangerous too, not to mention arctic wolves.

@@DianeJennings Fun bit of trivia about scorpions: they glow under ultraviolet light, plus, the smaller the scorpion's claws, the more potent their venom.
Don't forget about rattlesnakes, copperheads, and water moccasins. We have all of those snakes in my home state of North Carolina. There are also bull sharks in the rivers that flow through my hometown of New Bern. Bull sharks are known to be more aggressive than great white sharks. Needless to say, I no longer swim in the rivers here. Stay safe and weird! Love your content.

Best dog friend I ever had was a Pit Bull. They're are the most wonderful dogs, just lots of them choose really crappy people to hang with. Most of them are only dangerous if you get your legs too close to their wagging tail, because it could bruise your legs.
They are also very good with babies and kids. It's too bad that bad pepole train them for dog fights or just to be nasty, because they truly are one of the best breeds of dogs.

With the cougar, when you asked if it wanders around society...yes yes they do. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and we have them all along our neighborhoods during winter. Not exactly a fun thing to worry about once in a while.
More a threat to kids & pets, but yes. Try telling that to the local greens.
You will very rarely ever see a cougar, but as one ranger told me, they have seen you. I heard one once in the Sangre de Cristo mountains in New Mexico. It was a female and in heat. Not subtle. It sounded like something being torn to pieces over a long period of time.

I thought it a shame that while you were visiting the Everglades you did not visit a reptile farm where you could have held an actual alligator--baby size. Think how happy that would have made Producer Lenny--especially if he had been able to scrounge up that cheerleader outfit he kept talking about during your production meeting.
We have 2 pittbulls and they are very friendly. Its people who raise them to fight that have given them a bad reputation.
One of my girls is a Pit/Husky mix. For her size the strongest dog I know. But she's sweet and silly. She would have been a terror if she'd been trained to be that way.

@@DianeJennings You can see Buffalo up close in San Francisco, California, USA. In Golden Gate Park is a fenced area with Buffalo. You can see them day or night. Sometimes the Buffalo will be right next to the fence. Other times they are on the other side of the enclosed area. They are a bit bigger than cattle.
I've hand fed a bison (from the other side of a fence) and then one of the zookeepers had me and a couple other guys go into the fence with them and help them herd the bison into their pens. That made me a bit nervous.
There is a large herd in Wood Buffalo National Park, in Northern Alberta.
There are a lot of perfectly lovely pitties (and other "dangerous" breeds). One of the absolute best "kid dogs" I've ever met was a German Shepherd that had been a police dog.
But you can't overlook two factors that do make the typical "dangerous" breeds more of a hazard than, say, a golden retriever. First, there *are* breeds that were explicitly bred for maximum aggression, making them more likely to engage in such behavior. Still, you can socialize and train any breed away from that, if you take the time and know what you're doing.
The second, and more important fact is that these are the breeds, by and large, that were bred to be large and powerful, with exceptionally strong bite force. That means that when one of these breeds *does* get into trouble, it simply causes more damage than, say, a cocker spaniel and chihuahuas (which actually tend to be far "bitier" than the large working breeds... but that angry little ankle demon is not really a serious threat to a healthy adolescent or grown adult, even if it wanted to be. Heck, I had a roommate whose bull mastiff (who thought she was a 120 lbs lap dog) frequently caused damage and injury simply because she is several times larger and stronger than she thinks she is (just a big old clumsy Shrek)... That means there is less margin for error.
So, it's not that these are bad breeds - these are breeds that take more attention and skill (especially as a puppy) than, say, a basset hound.
Also, there's the amount of power in the jaws of different breeds. Labradors and other retrieving dogs have been bred to have a "soft" mouth so as not to damage the waterfowl they retrieve for the hunters. Pit bulls and Rottweilers have more powerful jaws, so, like you mentioned, they're capable of doing way more damage if they get aggressive and attack someone.
Just a quick story I wanted to share since you mentioned shepherds. Growing up we had a shepherd/lab mix that was just about the friendliest thing you could imagine, with one exception. He hated gloves. We lived in an area of pretty significant snowfall so we might have drifts two or three feet deep that we'd blown through to get to the car. Walking along this path you'd suddenly see a blur flying in front of you snapping for your winter gloves. He got a few too. He'd never catch the skin, but somehow always managed catch hold and drag them off. Finally one year I was pissed so I bought some ski gloves with tightening straps so they wouldn't come off no matter what. This was a mistake. The scene played out as before except by now I was probably 1.5 to 2 times the dogs size so I thought I was good. I was wrong. Our dog grabbed the glove as usual, but since it was strapped on I went face first into the snow. Then as he shook it back and forth trying to get it lose he drug me through, not over, but THROUGH the nearest snow drift. Finally the strap gave way and he trotted off proudly shaking his prize. Me, I've never laughed so hard in my life.
@@johnnabuzby6103 Yeah, no different than negligently hitting another car while you're driving a Prius versus while you're driving a massive SUV. The fault isn't in the *vehicle*, but the damage inflicted in an otherwise similar impact will be far, far greater with the big vehicle simply because of physics.

German Shepherds are faster, stronger, bigger and were literally bred for war.
Mastiffs are the size of bears and bred to be guard dogs.

Bears are my favorite critters. They are curious, very intelligent, and have a great sense of humor. I've had dozens of brown, grizzly, and black bear encounters during my 30 years living in Alaska, and none of them were ever aggressive. The key to having an enjoyable bear encounter is to be certain that you never surprise them, and keep your food in a safe location. Most importantly, maintain a comfortable distance from the bear. Never, ever approach one. Bears and dogs have a lot of very similar behaviors. So if you are familiar with dogs, you may also be able to judge the mood of a bear.
I have often discouraged bear behavior simply by talking to them. If I'm fishing for salmon, for example, a brown bear will try to be sneaky and take the salmon I've already caught. The problem for the bear is that at 1,500 pounds and 3 meter long they are not exactly stealthy. Just letting them know that you see them and they are busted trying to be sneaky, is enough to get them running back into the forest. They don't always fail, however. I have lost salmon to a brown bear before. I told you they were clever.
The overwhelming majority of bear attacks are by those who have either surprised the bear, or got closer (accidentally or intentionally) than the bear felt comfortable (you want to make certain you give a sow with cubs LOTS of space). Bears are terribly near-sighted, but have a great sense of smell. If you are approaching the bear from up-wind, it may not be able to identify what you are until you are within ~10 meters. If the bear is unsure what you are, it may attack to prevent what it perceives as a threat. They are not attacking to kill, only to incapacitate and eliminate the threat. When in bear country it would be wise to always pay close attention to your surroundings. Including the direction the wind is blowing.

In my opinion excluding my own state due to obvious bias the two states tied for best are Texas and Alaska. But frankly, Alaska is it's own class of place. I hope to visit one day.

Cougar. Our property is bounded on two sides by timber company land, 1,000s of acres of habitat. Neighbors trail cam has captured a local cougar on a few occasions, not to mention black bear. I live 10 minutes from a pretty well populated area.
NEVER go into the wooded mountains of America without bear spray and a gun.
And make it a BIG gun, because a puny pistol will just piss a grizzly bear off even more...
The most dangerous animal in the United States is the house cat. They're always plotting world domination. 😂 Seriously though, these animals make me want to wrap myself up in bubble wrap and lock myself away in my bedroom.

Michael my fur baby was abused for the first 6 was of life thats why I got him! He is most gentil so kind non aggressive and protective! I get animal fear I'm afraid of dogs having been severely bitten! However u I must work to overcome our fears! As we are missing out on wonderful experiences with cats and dogs!

There’s a similar snake to a coral snake but not poisonous. There’s a saying to determine which one is poisonous. Red touches yellow, kill a fellow. Red touches black, a friend of Jack. Thanks for the video!

The mnemonic only works for North American Coral snakes. Coral snakes elsewhere do not follow the red, yellow, black coloration.

We got cougars in the cypress hills in Saskatchewan Canada. Apparently For a while they would hide under people decks and people would run into them all the time.
I was out in the woods in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. I heard a squalling coming through the woods. A Black Bear Cub ran up the tree in front of me. I said a few "chose words" and began backing away. I never saw the Mama Bear.
I live near a small nature reserve in Missouri where until recently, visors could feed bison and elk (wapiti) through the tall chain link fence. It was a trip giving them apples and then holding my hand flat while they kicked it clean. They smell a bit like cows, but not quite.
A few years ago here in Texas, The puppies were playing with something in the bushes. I reached down, push the bush to the side and got bit by a snake. I grabbed it took it to the emergency room with me. They told me it was a baby copperhead. Which meant it had no venom control. So, I’m laying there with the snake in a container next to me and the pain was horrendous. But after about an hour the snake finally died. I went home the next day.
Glad you're okay now. I have a [funny] anecdote to relate to you. I love watching Lone Star Law. One of the Game Wardens was telling the story of how he and his wife met and got engaged. They had their engagement pictures taken while they were standing in fairly tall grass. His fiancee felt something poke her on her leg. She'd been bitten by a copperhead. Spent right many days in the hospital recovering from the bite. I remember thinking, that's a sign that she's supposed to be the wife of a Game Warden.
@@johnnabuzby6103 Thanks, It turns out I have some immunity to, well, copperheads venom. They gave me Tylenol and put me in ICU for observation overnight. But I walked out the next day, however I don’t recommend that people go out and get bit to find out if they are Immune. They do have sharp little teeth. Hope you have a wonderful day, or at least, as good a day as it is permitted under current situation.
@@K1rmcc You're welcome. You're lucky in that you have some natural protection from copperhead venom. You definitely don't have to tell me not to go out and get bitten by any snake. I'm afraid of snakes. We have plenty of them here in North Carolina. Copperheads, Eastern Diamondbacks, Canebrake rattlesnakes, water moccasins, timber rattlesnakes, and so forth. Take care and don't git bit anymore.

I have always thought of Australia as having the most things that want to kill you, although Africa and the Amazon rain forest aren't a picnic, either.
I have poisonous snakes that travel through my yard in NC occasionally, and our dog was bitten by one two weeks ago. It wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it still took a week of nursing to get him to use that leg again.
My mom and I were on vacation at Yellowstone some years back. We had to stop for a very large bison to cross the road. With all animals, I'm always going "Oh, look how cute that is" but my mom claimed the bison was glaring at us. LOL
Black bears are usually not much of a threat to humans. Usually they are more afraid of us than we are of them and they run away when we're around. The grizzly bear, on the other hand, is a HUGE very frightening big brown bear. There is a lot of difference between them, actually.
Washington State does have black bears and cougars but on this side of the mountains we don't have poisonous snakes and those sorts of things. You can walk right through a forest (if you can get through the undergrowth; good luck) and not be in fear of a snake bite or something like that. While there are some black widow spiders here, they are not very numerous and we don't have any other kind of poisonous bugs. Western Washington State is great that way.

On the subject of grizzlies: I read a story one time where the old Indian tells the green kid that the native word for grizzly bear meant 'Stay out of its way'. Might have been a humorously apocryphal thing...but the author has a habit of doing his research, and I wouldn't be at all surprised!

People who live where I live occasionally hear a yelp and see a mountain lion walking away with her dog. Also the bison where I live went viral last year because a lady on a motorcycle approached one too closely, and the Bison went after her hooked her in her belt loop tossed her around until her jeans finally ripped off of her. There’s a video of it on TH-cam. Then last Halloween the most common costume in the area was a biker lady in her underwear and then guy as a bison with jeans hanging from his horns Best wishes 👍😁💐👏

We had a mountain biker not that long ago have a run in with a cougar, they used their bike to make themself look bigger to scare off the angry kitty.
It's def important for people to know whatever a dog's particular breed is to know the instincts and traits that are part of the package when it comes to selective breeding and what its individual prey/play/fight drive is like.
People should always educate themselves when adopting about the breed
Agreed. I thought I had done my research about my Great Pyrenees and I had prepared for the shedding but not all the barking that a livestock guardian breed does. We love her anyway, but we make sure she has a good long potty break outside before bedtime so she doesn't wake up the whole neighborhood.

Orcas are scary
Ah, I forgot about the Orca, which is odd since I live in the Seattle area. Pods of Orca can be found in the nearby Puget Sound and further off the coast.
I've read though that in the wild there's never been a reported attack by orcas on people. It happens in captivity rarely by accident but in the wild it seems like orcas have absolutely no interest in attacking humans for any reason.
They are definitely the most fearsome animals if you're a seal though.

Yep. Stay away from seals. Especially large groups of them. A woman was killed by Great White here in Maine because she went swimming near a large seal colony.

Cougars are found all across the country, but are very elusive. Some who study them go years before ever actually encountering one. They're also called pumas, mtn. lions, panthers, and maybe a few more.
If I properly recognize him, the guy with the grizzly is its owner, and the bear is rented by people for movies, commercials, etc. The least dangerous of the 2 is the black bear, followed by the grizzly/brown bear/Kodiak bear.

Every now and then a moose will wander into my city in Washington, and they have to warn everyone to stay away and not get close for pictures.

Not *very* poisonous, but they are aggressive relative to other more poisonous snakes. Diamondback rattlesnakes are more common killers. Looking at a list of fatal snake bites in the US, the last person who died who had been bitten by a cottonmouth was listed as "unknown causes" because he also had a lethal amount of oxycodone in his system and had been drinking. That was 2015. The one prior to that was in 1971. On the other hand, Copperheads turn up as the next most common after rattlesnakes.
@@Markle2k Hiking in the Appalachians, you have to be on the lookout for both both rattlesnakes (eastern Timber species) and copperheads. Rattlesnakes like to lie out on and just underneath the rocks on mountain overlooks to bask in the sun. Stepping over or down off of a rock can surprise both you and the snake if you are not careful.

I used to work for a bus company and one of the drivers reported a black bear treed along the route. Where it was treed was pretty far into a residential area miles from the closest greenbelt
You would have to go way out of your way to encounter most of those animals here in the US. On the other hand, we are surrounded by alligators here on the coast of Texas, and I find them to be quite shy. If one attacks you, you are probably harassing it.
Black bears are pretty common in Jersey outside the cities but they usually run scared when they encounter people unless there are cubs nearby.

because if they decide to eat you you will not see them coming or hear them coming. they stalk and the attack from behind. occasionally large cats do go against nature and gift people with one of their kills just like house cats do. In Russia a man who had treated a wounded tiger found tiger prints on his porch and a freshly killed gigantic deer carcass.
I was almost killed by a goat when I was younger. I was hiking up in the Colorado mountains and I stopped to admire the the view by the edge of a cliff, then I heard a sound. As I turned a freakin' goat, not even a big horn sheep, which are cool to see up in the mountains, but some random goat, head butts me right over the edge of the cliff. Luckily there was a bit of a slope at the beginning of the cliff, so I was able to hit, then grab a ridge about 15 feet down. By the time I crawled back up, the goat was gone. Never saw it again, and never figured out where it came from, seeing as though I was at least 15 miles from any town. So yeah, any animal can be deadly if you're not careful.
If the goat was white then it was a wild goat, not a domesticated one gone feral, they’re a lot of them that live in Colorado, usually above 9000 or 10,000 ft, but I have seen one around 8000 ft once, think it was lost
On my trip to the southern tip of Texas, I got a T-shirt that says, "Keep Calm It's Just a Gator."
That video with the guy putting his face in the grizzly's mouth was from a documentary about Bart the Bear. That guy is a professional animal trainer who raised Bart from a cub after its mother was killed by a hunter, I believe. Bart eventually became a bear actor of sorts and was used in several Hollywood movies with A-list actors, like The Edge and Legends of The Fall.
I have seen all of these in the wild except for the grizzly bear. Somehow I survive, mostly I just leave them alone.

Thank you for sticking up for the pit bull. They are very sweet by nature, and can actually hug. They actually cry along with you if you are upset.
While on a training operation for the U.S. Marines, we actually bivouacked with Arizona Bark Scorpions. They got so use to us being there, that one just strolled thru our mess tent, on it's way to where ever it was going that night.
The great white shark was also, of course, the model for the Jaws movie franchise. What amazes me quite a bit more than the power of its bite is that when they're born, they're already larger than the average size of other common adult sharks.
At least on actual attack that JAWS was based on, happened in fresh water, mak8 g it a BULL SHARK attack. It happened in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
I live in the middle of San Francisco. We have wild coyotes roaming the streets here. The one I saw was healthy happy an non aggressive. Cougars in the hills too!
I have a friend who had a pit bull, it was the sweetest dog I've ever met. I owned a business on main street in our little town at the time, and one afternoon while closing up shop, my friend was walking past, and I happened to have my kids with me. The dog would NOT let my kids near the edge of the sidewalk, sensing danger from cars driving by. SUCH a good, smart dog. My kids are in their 20's now (they were around 10 and 12 at that time) and they STILL remember and talk about this dog and how sweet it was.
Elk are potentially dangerous too, and a Mountain Goat killed a hiker about ten years ago.
My friend has a pit bull mix and she is super sweet and gets along with my German Shepherd mix so well. They are best friends

I've got an American Staffordshire Terrier (she's almost 3) and a Weimaraner Pitbull mix (he's almost 10). They are the sweetest dogs ever. The puppy doesn't know a stranger, but the older one is a lot like me and has his days where he isn't fond of people that aren't his family.

I agree on the dog part. I’ve got a 70lb American Bully and he’s as sweet as pie! Barks at his own reflection in the window more than strangers😂 all he does is beg for food, bother my Yorkie and sleep
Calling Panther Lake is not far from my house. Yep, you can hear then from the freeway if you are driving by on the freeway during a Spring evening. Mostly they stay in the National Forest but the National Forestry Service manages the population closely.
I was convinced one year to donate my time at an animal rescue center. I went to care for the unwanted and abandoned animals. Many of these dogs were merely the product of the home they lived in. There at the ranch, those animals simply wanted to be pet, hugged, brushed, walked for miles... and they loved to be played with vigorously! I am or was very nervous around the large animals because I grew up with little lap dogs but was pleasantly surprised to find how nice and friendly those larger animals could be. Including the pit bull /pit bull mixes! :-D

North American Black Bears are the most common AND widespread bear species in the USA. They can LITERALLY be found in EVERY state, except for Hawaii and MAYBE Alaska. They’re especially common in the southern/southeastern portion of the US. As a matter-of-fact, at my dad’s side of the family’s hunting property, we had a black bear get into our peanut oil jugs after damaging the screen mesh while attempting to break into our cabin

What is most interesting about bugs and insects is that it is almost ALWAYS the smaller ones that have the most deadly and potential venom. I mean the smaller brown recluse is so much more toxic than a big tarantula for example.
I'll never forget my neighbor in Lake Worth, FL. One day we're outside, out of nowhere a Xoral snake starts climbing his leg. He grabbed it quickly and threw it.
And in North. Caroline. I was helping my landlord remove some old landscape timbers. We happened on a NEST of Black Widows!!! They were pretty angry apparently. As they kept trying to come to us. Everywhere we moved.
I've seen a black bear, a cougar, and several moose in the wild here in Idaho, though the moose was the only one somewhat close. Moose and cougar just wander through neighborhoods.
The scarriest thing about bears is that they are silent when in the woods. Just think of them as giant ninjas.

Diane the American pit bull is a breed of dog that literally has come down to selective breeding and the underground sport of dog fighting. It’s actually very easy to tell what kind of owner not only has one but the way they were raised.
I have been on the other side of some bush from a Black Bear. Since it wasn't formulary with people it ran away.

So what not a lot of people know is that Ireland USED to have Bears, but Early Irishman would get drunk and go out and box the bears into the sea, where they eventually evolved into walruses

It failed to mention Brown Recluse spiders, various species of Rattlesnakes, Cottonmouth (Water Moccasins), Bull Sharks (which have adapted to live in freshwater rivers inland areas). Definitely check out those Bull Sharks 😳🤯😂🤣
