I've watched many videos Lou has published on youtube and I'm very impressed. She's a brave woman to go to another country, alone, to work and navigate the culture differences and learn the language. It isn't easy to do that yet she is able to do it with ease and determination. She is doing very well. She has a good job, the company she works for seems to be very kind to their employees, she lives in a cute apartment with nice furnishings, cooks and eats well, is able to buy whatever she wants or needs from Amazon or other sites, goes out to eat, and send presents and/or financial assistance to her parents. Very well done and very impressive.

I just wanna say that I know you might read comments from weirdos saying you need to find a partner, but ignore them. Being alone is a blessing and teaches you a lot about yourself. I currently live alone and it’s the first time in my life i’ve ever gotten to have a whole place by myself without another roommate or family living with me, and it’s so amazing. Thank you for the chill videos!
People are just saying what causes them fear, but I am in agreement. Even scripture says single people are blessed. I see no reason to be in a situation that is not for everyone. I concur with what everyone says, how brave and amazing you are to do what you're doing with your life and how you continue to support your family back home. Dear Lou, thanks for your videos. I really love them. Your cooking looks very healthy and delicious. Love the fact that when you go food shopping, you show the price of items on the screen. Wow!! Food in Japan is so cheap compared to United States and Puerto Rico where I live. I would pay probably three times as much for each of your shopping items.
Love the convenience of living close to everything. You don't really need a car to go to the supermarket and other stores. That is the thing I loved the most when I used to live in New Jersey.
But love my island of Puerto Rico though. It's my home. Keep the videos going, Thank You!! ❤🇵🇷

I Love your Videos. They're giving me Motivation when I'm feeling down. For good 4 years I live alone and sometimes I feel Not so well and fortunately I found your Channel at that time and it made me feel better. Hi sweet, Lou. ❤️. I was a gift-wrapper for a living, so I want to tell you your wrapped package was beautiful. You did a great job. Some tips for you because I know you love to learn new things and be even better at things. Try this; after placing your box in the paper to cut the amount of paper needed, bring the paper edge to the edge of the box , then pull it over about one inch, and fold the paper over the edge like you did. Then fold the other side of the paper over, and line it up to the box edge. Fold the paper under, about one inch. Cut off the excess. Your folded edge should line right up with the edge of the box. Tape it down on both ends. This gives a look of no paper lines/edges since it is folded along the edge of the box.
You can do the same thing on the ends after folding the sides in t make the triangles on top and bottom. Tape along the edge and crease and smooth the tape.
It takes practice to learn how to cut the right amount of paper, but cut it a bit long and you can cut it to size after bringing the paper to the edge. If it's too short, you won't be able to use the technique.
Finally, run your pinched fingers along all edges of the package to make the edges sharp and smooth. It makes the packages look really crisp and beautiful. Good luck

When you are wrapping presents, take the tape and cut several pieces with scissors and stick to the edge of the table. Then you can pull it off the edge instead of trying to get it off the tape dispenser. I do this and it makes wrapping much easier. It works.
I greatly enjoyed watching you make your Ramen noodle dish. I am slowly learning how to cook some things I really enjoy! Thank you!
I have a question and a suggestion - if you don't mind! How do you get to the grocery store at night? Walk? How far is it? Do you feel comfortable getting there?
Secondly, My suggestion is about the large coin laundry machine. When washing something large and heavy or bulky, like a rug or large quilt, always unfold it and place it in the machine loosely. It will get much cleaner. It will stay folded while washing if you do not do this when using a front loading machine! Thank you again for your lovely videos!🌺🦋🪴

If you gave thyroid problem as you’ve said be careful eating too much cabbage - they absorbed the iodine in your body and if possible use Sea salt for your cooking .

Hi! I really enjoy your videos, and love to see the Japanese stores as well as the details of your home life. When I was your age I lived in an apartment in San Francisco which was also my art studio, and sold my paintings in galleries there. It was a somewhat lonely life, because I not only lived but worked alone. Many years later I once again live alone, but that is how I prefer it in my older age. 🌺💖

Next time you are wrapping a gift that's in a pretty box, put the box upside down on the wrapping paper. That way, you will tape the first edge of wrapping paper to bottom of the box instead of the top of the box, and if the tape tears the bottom of the box when the wrapping paper is removed, the pretty box can still be used to hold other things because the mark from the tape will not be on the top of the box where it would be seen 🙂
