- Ariel Castro lures, kidnaps Michelle Knight and Amanda Berry: Part 2
Castro had offered Knight and Berry rides to lure and kidnap them. Berry says after she was abducted, he took her to his basement, taped her wrists and ankles and put a helmet on her head.

before I had a car, I had been asked many times by men if I wanted a ride where I was going. I always declined. But, honestly, if it were a friends dad or something like that, I may have said yes. This could have been any of us. I am extremely weary and paranoid of everyone because of stories like this.

It's not just girls, either. As a teenager going home from high school, I was offered a ride on NUMEROUS occasions by different men and a few women. I always said no, made up some lie that my house was right around the corner, or said that I was going to my mom's or dad's store/business right there to get them to leave me alone.

I lived in a village where basically everyone knew each other and even then my parents always told us to not take rides from ppl no matter if we knew them, with stories like this one I get their worry

Michelle didn’t abandon her son. Michelle was going to court for her son. She wasn’t asked to be kidnapped. 😢 shouldn’t be punished more than she has suffer. All those years ... she had her son on her mind. The people that adopted her son .... very cold blooded. If any normal humans would had seen the situation and give her son back to her. Work little by little so he could give them to get to know each other. Her son was keeping her strong.

Honestly these women are inspiring! Even after the trauma they went through they came out stronger, powerful, and beautiful inside and out! They are proof that even after the darkest of times there can be healing and light!
i really hate that the adoptive parents didn’t let her have supervised visits with joey. he was 15 when she got out and they could have had some sort of relationship. but as the years passed the kid (now 21) still to our knowledge hasn’t seen his mom because at this point he probably doesn’t have any curiosities because he’s a grown adult content with his life. and that’s fine it’s just really sad for michelle because she didn’t ask to get kidnapped, and all she wanted was to get him back

This almost happened to me I saw a room for rent and when I went to see it the guy closed the door behind us. Thank God my friends were downstairs and came banging on the door.

She's so beautiful and strong and the fact she loves craves and is willing to be the mother she was robbed of being. The fact that the foster " parents " won't even give her the chance she deserves is sickening. I pray that God blessed her she too is nothing but loved and amazing

10 years. That is unfathomable. The world keeps moving forward while you’re stuck in hell. That is one sadistic boy. These women are complete warriors to be able to function and have the will to live after being so dehumanized for so long, ESPECIALLY at such a young age. Those are important years developmental wise and it was taken away from them because some sick bastard had a twisted fantasy. And he didn’t even pay for it, he committed suicide. Not surprising.
Good luck to the women, it’s amazing that they’re speaking out to the children about being safe.
It’s crazy how they all knew his daughter or one of his daughters I don’t know if it’s the same girl they all refer to... but damn.. my heart hurts for all of them especially Michelle she went through some shit even before she was kidnapped..

Life is already hard enough. These girls are incredibly strong and brave to pick themselves up and continue living their lives.
Ariel Castro used his daughters friendships to lure these girls in and he almost got his brothers in trouble with this mess even though they were innocent. I watched an interview with his brothers and he brought so much shame on their family. It's so sad. Cuz the little girl he had with Amanda is their family too and they said she'll never know how good of a family they actually are because of Ariel.
A young lady with such a super strength , she deserves a super medal , Michelle had super woman powers , what a fabulous young lady , I admire her so much !! 🤲🏾💕

I remember reading Michelle Knight's book and what she endured. She would have to feed her younger siblings and get a can of Ravioli to heat for an hour so they could have a hot meal.

I know there's Nexflix series about famous singer Selena, serial killers Richard Ramirez, Jefferey Dahmer, etc. I'm surprised no one has made a Nexflix series about the Ariel Castro or Anthony Sowell case.
You just cannot make believe the Neighbors never heard anything or saw anything strange. I think this neighborhood is like Detroit here. Everyone minds their own business to the point of ignoring terrible crimes around them. Sad mentality.

A neighbor actually called the police when they heard some screaming in the house however Castro didn't answer when the police knock so they left and didn't found anything

Good question but nobody knew about Michelle going missing. I don't believe her Mom reported her missing right away. Even if police would've gotten involved, that surveillance footage from the dollar store would've already been recorded over after about a week or so and gone forever. Nobody would've even thought about checking the dollar store. By the time word got around there would be no footage.

Cici Kathleen that’s a lie. It’s all about being empathetic and sitting and listening to someone, I’ve been thru rehab therapy for trauma drugs etc. so I know a lot about mental health and how therapist work. That’s exactly what not to do. And she’s been in the game long enough to know that.

Marcie Oasi Barbie don’t quote me on this. in the movie, Castro told Michelle how exciting it would be for her son to have a puppy when he came home. He said his dog just had puppies and it would only take 2 minutes for him to get one for her. She came in to see them, and that’s where everything went sour. Again, don’t quote me on that. It was the movie, I don’t know if that’s the correct story.
I wondered the same thing! The puppy story below from Chloe seems plausible. Now in the car with someone who knew the venue location she probably had more time than when she was on foot not knowing where the place was.
Marcie, Michelle was walking to her appointment and she got lost so she went into a family dollar to ask someone for directions and before the person she asked their was Castro telling Michelle he new where the place was so she walked out of family dollar with Castro and got in his car and she then realized that he wasn't going the way to her appointment and Castro told Michelle that he had to run to his house then once they were their he went into the house Michelle waiting in the car and then she ended up in the house because Castro said their was puppies then the hell began for 11 years for Michelle.
Michelle didn't louse her son because of anything she did her mother's boyfriend at that time was drunk and angry took it all out on Michelle son and broke his leg until the bones snapped and the day she was kidnapped she was working on getting her son back but because she was kidnapped they figured she was a run away and she wasn't even look for by no one not even her mom....her mom moved to Florida when Michelle disappeared. Her new name is Lily Rose Lee she's married but can't have anymore kids because of the severe abuse he did to Michelle with her 5 miscarriages.
I was struck by how old Amanda Berry's sister looks.
Stress does that to people. Plus she already had Crohn's disease.

Part of me thinks ariel castro finally gave up and let the girls free or maybe thought he could trust them. He left all their doors unlocked that day and let his daughter Jocelyn roam freely. I feel he didnt want to ever lock Jocelyn up in chains and knew one day it would have to come to that cause she keeps getting older and will hate his guts so I think to save some face and the image of him loving her and to make her not hate him as much he decided he would chance this and give his trust and let the girls unlocked even if it meant they escaped. I think Jocelyn played a huge role in why those doors were unlocked. One day all these girls will unite again together and hug each other.
Yes,that little girl was the reason they are freed. He had a soft spot for her. She must have loved him and that humanized him a little. He wanted her to have a normal life . She is scarred too,by losing her father.

I don’t mean any disrespect, but this is the only part of her story I don’t believe. It makes no sense for her to be rushing on foot to an appointment and then gets a ride, only to get in the car and decide “oh it would be nice to go to your house to see your daughter BEFORE I get to where you’re supposed to be taking me. I truly think she was doing s*x work and Ariel propositioned her, and that’s how she ended up in his house. She just said herself she was dirty, hungry and in need. That’s also why I think he treated her even WORSE THAN the other girls. Because he looked at her like just a s*x worker whereas Amanda and Gina were school girls who had family looking for them. It also goes in line with most predators. They start with people they believe are disposable or not important. Then once they get away with those crimes they start going for the woman jogging, or the girl waiting for a school bus. It’s an escalation.

Amanda and Michelle were the strong ones because they arent afraid to talk about it. I know it was horrible for all 3 of these women but the more you talk it makes it easier to heal
What about Gina she was also strong all of them were she was the youngest kidnapped at only 14 didn't get to go to a prom, go to college get a job and experienced adult stuff while trap there has to lived her best friend's father tortured her and she is still stuck in a 14-year olds mind.
