His channel began broadcasting on my Samsung awhile back and my TV is programmed to start on that channel whenever I turn it on. I miss the NBC days of Late Night but there's still a lot of great content.
Dave between his show on NBC and CBS pretty much had anybody who was somebody in the music world on his show. The Stones and Van Halen have performed on his show. Dave had the remaining members of Zeppelin at the same time on his show, as well as multiple appearances by Robert Plant and appearances by himself of Jimmy Page. I'm sure having a music icon like Paul Schaffer who knows and has played with everyone, be your music directer, helped get a lot if these acts on the Dave Letterman show. Heck, Dave Letterman was even honored on The Kennedy Center Honors the same night Zeppelin was honored back in 2012. I remember Dave when he honored the late Warren Zevon when he died who was a frequent guest on his show. And who could forget the reunion of Sonny and Cher singing I Got You Babe. Always liked Dave 10 times better than Jay Leno.

That was the main reason to watch this show all the musical guests plus Paul Shaffer, and his band and Schaeffer got all these guests.
That time that James Brown appeared and played with the band is one of the best moments in tv history
