That’s how I was when I started knitting. It was so tight on the needle. Now sometimes I have to make sure that it’s not too loss on the needle.

Excellent tips! I find what you said about knitting tension becoming tighter when you're emotions are tense to be very true. I keep an ongoing swatch to knit on for a few minutes before resuming my real work in progress after a break. I keep working the swatch until my tension evens out and I get back to my normal relaxed rythym.
Your beginner knitting series is great. I'll definitely recommend it.

I knitted a knit 2 purl 2 scarf a few years ago. I had a lot of help casting on and off (and during). I am about to try to do it all again (all alone), so I am super happy to have found your channel. Wish me luck!

Thank you for your awesome videos!! Short and sweet. I have 3 kids(8,4 and 1) so it's hard to stay on the phone for too long. I struggle to keep tension so i appreciate you tips.
    Keep up the great work!!

How do you hold your yarn with your fingers, some say running it through fingers certain ways to get correct tension. Great video!! Thank you

The thing I find odd is that I first started knitting yearssss ago when I was a child and never could figure out how to crochet but as school work became hectic I lost time to knit and have since picked up crochet in the last few years. I crochet pretty relaxed and loosely but when I tried getting back into knitting again my stitches are extremely tight and will always create this annoyingly long middle part as I continue to my last stitch and I can’t even tighten it then. It doesn’t matter how close my needles are to each other or how my stitches are at the top of the needle, it always happens. How can I fix this?

Thanks for this Kristin ... sometimes I have trouble with my tension while using finer fingering weight yarns, especially while purling. Good reminder about the hand stretches too..Thanks! 💖 Have a great holiday season!

Thank you so much for this post. Also I see many people wrapping yarn. Do you do that? And if so can you speak to that please.😊
