I have done quite a few custom builds over the years and whereas this one isn't the best at anything I think it's my favorite. It is absolutely stunning to look at!
Dude! What a cool build! As someone not aware of the raider the last video was awesome for some rc history. Awesome content your attention to detail is unparalleled
Yeah I had it in mind pretty much right away but didn't take the concept seriously until I saw how many people wanted to see in the comments from my other video.
The smiles on my face as you presented the final product, and immediately went to bash-mode, was PERFECT from a tension-release philosophy. This is such a good build!
Yeah I suspect they are. If you look at the Nerf bar mounts there's actually unused one between the two that are used on the Fury and I'm guessing that's for a smaller Nerf bar.
@DoRC I have tried masking a body off and having different colors with sharp lines once and it ended horrible. From then on all I mask are windows because I just suck at it.
Fortunately it's relatively straightforward. The hardest part is cutting out the body to fit around the spur cover but I'm terrible at that sort of thing and I was able to do a halfway decent job :-)
Cool build and well done! Looks like a fun project! Reminds me of my first RC buggy, the Tamiya frog. It didn’t perform quite that well though…😂 Great video!
@vicchin1314 Cool though it will be quite a bit shorter than the XL and unless you can find more narrow arms It probably won't quite be the right proportions for a buggy. This is already a little wider than what you would expect.
Dude that was an awesome video. So cool to see how close to OEM you got. I wouldn't be surprised if this is exactly how Arrma would have done it lol. Such a fun video to watch
Yeah I'm sure they'll do the body mounting differently and probably have a cool cage around the cockpit area but I would be willing to bet if you took mine and said it next to whatever they come up with they'll probably be pretty similar
Bro I was looking for an arrma raider for some time and I love that you did this build. I thought I was the only one who was still into these dune buggies. Every buggy that looks like the Baja 5B is awesome. Thank you man
Go for the fury. The Gorgon is a short wheelbase high center of gravity chassis and would not be ideal for a buggy. If you want to do a smaller buggy like the regular raider get the vortex
Very cool, young man. Very cool. Might be time for me to do your build as a speed car. Those Fusion Pros are no joke. i run them in a lot of smaller bashers and most of my crawlers.
@@DoRC I don’t suppose you’d happen to know where I could get some spare front and rear A arms would ya? All I can ever find are RaiderXL arms, not true narrow track 1/10 raider arms. And I’m not sure how I feel about doing a wide track raider
Congratulations on building your very own unique RC! 👏💪 Looks great and super fun! Send Arrma the instructions and a proposal of royalties (?) contract. 😝
That's a fantastic looking RC build! The attention to detail is impressive, especially on the body. A rear-wheel drive setup is always a recipe for fun. It looks like it's ready to hit the track. Enjoy putting it through its paces!
Really cool build!! Hey man just a quick tip, you should pigtail your wires to make them tidy. They won't be flopping around plus it looks really cool. Aloha from Maui 😎🤙🏽
@@DoRC I most def. will. I own 8 Arrma vehicles including all three Groms and im currently transforming a 1/10 Granite to wider and 4s, so this sounds like a plan. 😎
Awesome build. So cool. If I had the skill and resources to build that, the only thing I would do different would be the old school spiked tires on the rear.
Those would be awesome. Honestly the tires I put on there aren't the best as they don't get great traction. Instead of old school pins would probably be better. It's actually a fairly easy build. The only thing you really need any special equipment for are the 3D printed parts and you could technically have those printed by a service for not that much money.
Wow 👌 👏 😍 👍 looks super good I like when ya do builds like this I think that's what sets ya apart from other youtubers doing these builds don't think I've seen any do stuff like this....
I'm glad you enjoyed. I love doing stuff like this and I've been doing similar things pretty much my entire adult life. I think this is one of my favorite builds though :-)
Glad I was able to obtain an original XL but I'm so glad to see this being done, after seeing the gorgon chassis I was hoping to soon see a remake, Definitely saving this video to try and make one and stack it up against the original
Bro i have to say i absolutely love your videos! I never leave comments. I think this is my first one ever. Just had to tell you to keep it up. Also, do you have a part number or link to that reinforced spur gear slipper assembly? I have an arma fury, just wrecked the body so I think I might need to try this
Another premium custom build. I remember when the Raider first released, and I was put off from buying one because the screw count and the speed controller being buried in the roll cage. I should at least given it more than passing glance, looking back in hindsight.

_This custom build came out sooo freaking good! Really goes to show your creativity level is off the charts!_

This is seriously one of the coolest kitbash/custom builds I have seen. Well done, now I want one.
I have done quite a few custom builds over the years and whereas this one isn't the best at anything I think it's my favorite. It is absolutely stunning to look at!
YES.!! 👍 👍 👍
Arrma MUST make this RC.!!!
While they're at it, a 4S Felony based on the Mojave 4S platform would be nice too.! 😉 😉
I suspect they will at some point.
Arrma c'est de la merde et beaucoup beaucoup trop cher
Dude! What a cool build! As someone not aware of the raider the last video was awesome for some rc history. Awesome content your attention to detail is unparalleled

I knew once they brought out the lwb chassis this was begging to be done. Excellent job and awesome look on the paint job 👌
I'm glad I was able to release your tension at the appropriate time :-)
Now that was a wicked build ! Hopefully Arrma watch and do it too ! Nice one mate 🔥🔥🤘🏻
If I had to guess I would imagine they already have a raider design in the works but no way to know for sure
Your timing on this build is IMPECCABLE!! I know they gotta be working on this!
Yeah I suspect they are. If you look at the Nerf bar mounts there's actually unused one between the two that are used on the Fury and I'm guessing that's for a smaller Nerf bar.
I absolutely love this build. The raider xl is one of my all time favorite rc’s ever!
It's a pretty sweet rig! Thanks for watching :-)
Bruh, this is soooo dope! As a buggy fan and an Arrma fan, I cant stop smiling! Well done sir!
Yeah I think it came out better than I expected!
Nice job you really brings things next level with 3d printing, so many different aspects to the hobby,
Even my colors my bike has same scheme so I often paint bashers red/white , are you going to keep this one ☝️? You should .
Yeah it definitely makes a lot of things possible that wouldn't have otherwise been.
No I'll probably be selling this one.
Really nice video. I enjoyed the entire process. No matter how long we are in the hobby, there are many more tips we can pick up.
Thanks!
I've been in it for over 20 years and I'm still learning every day :-)
That is truly amazing work. Well done.
Thanks I think it came out really well!
Awesome build! That paint turned out great.
Yeah it definitely looks better from afar than up close but within my skill level it turned out just fine!
@DoRC I have tried masking a body off and having different colors with sharp lines once and it ended horrible. From then on all I mask are windows because I just suck at it.
@@Nerm78 Yeah that sounds about like how it usually goes for me. This masking job definitely had plenty of blemishes.

Always so inspired by your builds. This one is definitely the most inspiring

Hell yeah bro!!! Great build. Copyright that.
Nah. Free for all :-)
This is got to be one of the best buggy conversions I've seen, and the paint job is top notch, subbed

I think arrma is gonna copy this design now lol but overall this is bad ass Arrma needs to make this good job man👍
Honestly I'd be kind of shocked if they didn't already have a design in process.
What spur are you using here exactly? rcawd doesnt seem to list a gorgon or fury spur is it a arrma 3s perhaps?

awesome build I thin the front shock tower was smaller it wold look better tho still awesome
The vortex shock Tower is a lot shorter and I was going to swap it out but I didn't have shocks that were the right length.
@@DoRC oh ok awesome the 2024 raider with smaller shock towers wold look sick
