Goddamn his voice is unbearable for me. Sounds like a 12 year old. The wires album he sounded great due to the extensive effects on the vocals. He can definitely sing without the effects, it’s just not pleasant sounding to me personally. Jordan Blake can’t sing either so….idk
...now, he tries to sing in a more manageable range which is great, better that than having his voice crack up all the time when trying really high notes, but it feels that he's always off-pitch, which could be his problem but could also be the rest of the bands problem for not changing to fit his voice which could actually be an easier solution to the problem.
I'm with Longboard on this. I've seen ASD live and they were fantastic. Jag sounded great (Of course not the same as on the album but it was still awesome). Watch them live if you have the chance.
Corey is such a fucking monster, he's the most talented member of this band in my opinion because he plays the drums like a fucking god, and his screams are brutal as fuck

dude, we're one of the most diverse music channels on youtube. you complain about every single band you don't like, obviously you're not going to like every single band. if you have noticed, the videos you complain about are the ones that get the most views. you're in the minority here.
I think these guys to me are one of my favorite bands overall. They might be pigeoned holed in one scene or categorized like everyone, but I love their songs I like the fact that they sound like so many different types of influences in rock. ASD are freakin solid and I can see these guys being around for a long time (atleast I hope).
i love how this band's screams sound so much like the albums sound. most screams are produced in the recording studio for most metal or metalcore music. not all but alot of them.
Jordan Rocks, his other band W!TG were here some months ago and I got to talk to him a bit. He's a really cool guy. I wish people would just give him a chance I mean. Sure he is still working on singing live as good as he use to but he is devoted to his fans. I think he is going to get better especially now that W!TG is a full band

no... he's just not pinching that much here... this is actually how he is suppose to sound... his voice really isn't naturally as high as it is on the cd, he's forcing it to be that high.

@ArtistryofDebauchery nahh. trances is over. there was a fight between some band members. jordan and michael have no contact to dj and this yeti guitarist... he makes solo... actually he will colloborate with etienne sin again. currently they are in the studio recording a full length. but there were several rumors because of trances break up and that a skylit drive didnt tour for months (between album release and warped) that jordan comes back to a skylit drive.
@waiting4rfuture The screamer breathes from his stomach, but the sound doesn't come from his stomach. It comes from his vocal chords which produce a sound that can resonate from the chest. He screams with his chest voice, where as with fry screamers' screams come from the head. Its actually like a whisper being manipulated by your stomach through your throat. Its hard to explain, but the point is his throat is as necessary to use when he screams as it is when we talk.
@QlockworkOrange Screaming isn't complicated at all, and in fact playing guitar is much more difficult if you listen to the riffs and screams at the same time (much more complex than the drums). Cory is just doing it during the simplistic beats. And I can just tell by his breath pressure that he's trying WAY to hard to impress when he hasn't even built up his technique at all. I frontman at this same venue all the time, so I kind of know what I'm talking about.

I think they record the stuff directly through the equipment though because there's not as much cheering as it looks. the cheering you do hear is what is loud enough to go in the mic. but I'm saying it sounds better coming from the amps than into the cerain EQ he's recording it in. so I'm saying go see them before people judge them.
I hate how you guys say Jag sucks when he's actually an amazing singer. if you listen to their songs off of the record it sounds like they have 2 singers at once, due to the editing, so duh it'll sound different live. But he's still pretty good live compared to most bands. Sure Jordan is awesome too, but Jag is here now, deal with it. You can't change it.

@waiting4rfuture He is screaming right. And he is a very good screamer. He's not using fry, so its not quite the same. And its pretty incredible to have that kind of range without using fry. He's actually screaming, not just making that whisper sound that most screamers do nowadays..
@zombieboy3000 If you want to see a good ASD, look up their vidoes with Jordan, trust me. There's no nasily crap, or drummer screams. And my "whinny" mouth produces a scream that's going to get me somewhere, so have fun dressing up for shows and not doing anything every time you go to one.
I'm going to have to agree. I love grindcore, but these guys live arent doing it. If you listen closesly there's just a bunch of girls in the audience to give you an idea of who they are singing and dressing to impress. I've seen Bury You Dead live and they hit the stop.

Jordan was the ONLY frontman. Plain and simple. Now this bassist is in the front....quite easy to see if you open your eyes. Don't know why you don't understand o_0
