As its obviously polystyrene, it does ding and mark easily, however it does perform really well tbh, holds whatever temp you set it to, to within 0.2 - 0.3 of a degree so the beer is at a constant temp, have to say its improved my beers a bit...
Got one coming my way soon. Looking forward to better temperature control. But just a correction. It's a brewolution product, not get er brewed (never heard of this?)
Hey Marius, yes its excellent temp control kit, I'd say my beers are a bit better without doubt since i got mine, GeterBrewed are the brewing supplies company [based in Northern Ireland] that exclusively supply the Ferminator in the UK...
Good Question Richard, in my case it is purely down to space tbh, i've already got a 70/30 fridge freezer in the brew room which i use for hop storage, yeast storage and occasional cold crashing, just trying to up my cold side game as during the recent hot spell i just couldn't keep the FV temps where i wanted them, time will tell if my investment is any good or not...
Thanks for commenting, Yes still very pleased with the performance of the Ferminator so far, not really used it for cold crashing tbh, but it holds temp to within 0.2 or so of either side of whatever temp i've got it set to, 18-19 or 20, dropped it from 18 to 14 degrees to dry hop a couple of days ago, it took around 3 hours to drop the 4 degrees, held 14 deg easy, i'm sure it could drop to 2-3 degrees C just haven't tested it that cool as yet...
@@vochomebreweryusingbrewtoo9439 Nice! Thanks for the fast answer! There's suprisingly few user experiences and reviews available online. If you are happy with it I'll put in a order to get one myself! :) Thanks for the help!
Hey Jim, apologies for the lateness of my reply, the unit has performed well [and still is] although the only real downside is as its made from polystyrene it can be a bit flimsy and ding and mark easily, but overall its a very good bit of kit, and replacement parts are easily available.
May purchase one myself at some point, looks and sounds great.
Cheers mate 🍺 🍻

Looks good, my only question is what is the benefit to that over an under the counter ferm fridge?

@@vochomebreweryusingbrewtoo9439 perhaps you can collapse it and store it smaller when not in use?
Hi Richard, yes good idea, i'll certainly be doing that...
Thanks for the video! How did the Ferminator perform on cold crashing? Are you still happy with the chamber?

One last thing, as its polystyrene it dings and marks quite easily, you have to treat it with kid gloves...best of luck...
@@vochomebreweryusingbrewtoo9439 Good tip, thx!
Two years on how has this performed? im thinking of buying one
