In today's class, we discussed what operations management is, the differences between goods & services, the importance of the supply chain, the value added process.
CORRECTION for slide 1-10:
EXAMPLE: Opportunity to correct problems before delivery for a good: a car company finding out that there is a problem with the air bag during the production process, they can correct the issue before any vehicles are shipped to the dealerships.
EXAMPLE: Opportunity to correct problems before delivery for a service: if you ordered steak at a restaurant and they bring you chicken instead. The problem will be found out when you receive the food from the server.
