Hey! Understandable, sorry for the misunderstanding. The AP student community, however, would love to hear what you have to say about AP Calculus 3/Multivariable Calculus: th-cam.com/video/UdTLiey4MtY/w-d-xo.html
dude im taking ap precalc rn and i aint gonna lie its the most joke-like math class to be even considered an AP class. but two parts of that already joke-like class??? theres no way 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why do they even have ap precalc at all? Precalc is not a college-level course, although colleges offer it as a catch-up course. First-year college math is calculus. In fact even many/most high school students who take AP calc and want to focus in STEM then retake calc their first year in college, because college-level calculus is more advanced than ap calc (BC or AB). Of course it depends on the students, but I’m talking in general
Ap precalc prepares you better than accelerated precalc, but splitting the class is a dumb idea. aslo in some schools you need precalc to take calculus so taking AP preclac instead of accelerated precalc is a better option before calc
As someone who took advanced precalculus in hs the year before it became AP it makes me mad that I could've had a higher gpa since precalc wasn't even an honors class. Many colleges don't even take the ap precalc credit anyways lol
Yeah! I mentioned the fact that older kids didn't get AP credit in my last video, go check it out: th-cam.com/video/cYTx-79PnMg/w-d-xo.html Feel free to subscribe as well 😊
My high school has Ap precalc itself, AB, and BC. Most seniors like myself are talking AP precalc for college credit, which on my end is a pretty good decision, because my (supposedly) major in college would provide a math class the equivalent of AB. I've heard rumours in my school that Ap precacl does not teach real calc, and most people just resort to Ap stats because its easier. No offense, just my humble opinion.
So true 😂. I'm actually going to be uploading a video soon on a course that the College Board SHOULD add.. so make sure you subscribe with notis if you're interested in that too 😊
Where did you get the information that College Board has decided to do this? After looking it up, all I found was that some school districts had two courses when it was still being piloted and that at least one is planning to split the course later on. This doesn't mean anything because local school districts can technically teach the courses however they want. This doesn't mean the exams will be split.
Hi! We have no plans to split AP Precalculus into two courses.

If they’re gonna offer new AP math classes, they should at least offer ones that count for college credit.
I agree!
Just take calc at that point 😂🙏
i bet this change was made so collegeboard can make more money from ap exams

The difference would be that Precalculus AB would probably include just a standard precalculus course and BC would add actual calculus

“Trust me bro”
😂 Watched a couple of his vids.

What's your source?
I agree, I couldnt find where it said... Ant the thumbnail is dated on June 1 2021... And even my AP teacher never heard anything about this.
I’ve found nothing confirming this to be true, like anywhere. Feels like clickbait to be honest
I feel like making an AP Calculus CD would be more productive than this

An AP calc 3 class would actually be pretty good.
@@WorldSlash_ Indeed! I'll be making a video on this later.. subscribe with notis if you're interested! 😊

they should just make an AP Calculus class that covers Calculus III topics and call it CD much like how AB covers Calc I and BC covers Calc II.
Why tf are they splitting an AP math class with 4 units into 2 even smaller APs?
Good question 😂
Here I thought AP Statistics was a joke.l guess I didn’t appreciate what I had. 😭
this is extreemely stupid. This is just to hold students back for no reason...
they do all this but refuse to add linear algebra
