    Like that natural look. Still paying under 700 for everything here in Mexico. Thanks so much for the breakdown. Helps me stay grateful.

    For me house owner split with spouse 50/50. Our break down for total house expenses with two kids.
    Mortgage $2468
    Food $1000
    House insurance $150
    Car insurance (2) $250
    Property tax $272
    Cell 55
    Enmax $400
    Gas for one car $200
    Then there is car payments on one vehicle $400
    We both work at the same place Canada Post and are FT and are not making it without being in some debt. It’s really hard these days. Thank you for your video. I feel really good about our food budget. The only thing I can control.

    Hey, your videos really nice and helpful. I plan on relocating to the city in July from Ontario. When do you think would be the best time to start looking for places? and what other sites do you recommend to find places? so far I've been briefly looking on rent faster and kijiji. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

    • @patricialing
      @patricialing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for watching and for your continued support :)
      I would start looking in April/May for July. I find a lot of people are looking for that month to move so the sooner the better, I would also check out Facebook market place to see what they also have to offer but be aware of scams and dont send a deposit. I would say that and rent faster is the best! It also depends what you are looking for, if its a room or a 1++ bed bath.
      There is also rental groups on Facebook that you can join " Calgary Room and rentals etc.. " :)

    Call up Costco inova car insurance you can land it for 1560$ for the year. Or 130$ monthly roughly.
    Cray 1060$ for a single bedroom :(

    Just wondering, was it more or less difficult to find a job in Calgary from Ontario? I'm guessing by your demeanor that you have a desk job/white collar? I'm looking for a data analyst job, and it seems every 5th job is still oil & gas related.

    • @patricialing
      @patricialing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I work in health care so to be honest its really in demand so it was easier for me to find a job during these times. With tech related positions I find its harder to find work for some. If you were interested in the oil and gas field there are positions. Im not 100% sure I just go based by what others tell me but I would keep looking :)
      There are other options if you wanted to get something else or explore a different career but I dont know if the salary will be to your liking.

    lol its funny you think you are frugal. paying $450 on car payments lol your car alone cost over $800 a month.

    • @patricialing
      @patricialing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Most car PAYMENTS now are around $600-$
      800 +, in general other expenses I usually tend to spend less on certain things than others and are more mindful of what I am spending my money on. I use my car everyday, as mentioned in the video we all spend our money differently and it may seem like I spend more or less than yourself or others. I choose to spend money on a vehicle for reliability and personal factors. Ive been called cheap previously lol. I appreciate you sharing your opinion but everyones definition of frugal would be considered different as well.
