Hey Mergim , buy yourself a coffeemaker and I'll send you some kapeng barako from Batangas (strong AF bro). Or I can hand it to you in person after New Years when I go back to Mandaluyong.
Stayed in Thailand for almost a year and Cafe Amazon's Green Tea was my favorite. I am so happy when I came back to Philippines and heard that they have several branches in Manila. And this Cubao branch is very near my place. I go to Amazon every chance I get, and my new fave is their Iced Amazon. Quite disappointing that they don't do the standard tissue wrap thing which you also pointed out. By the way, they recently reopened their McKinley branch. That one's closer to your place.
My wife is hearing the video in the background and correcting your pronunciation of of Cubao. I keep hearing her saying coo-bow from the kitchen LOL. I explained to her that english speakers pronounce it that way because of how it is spelled.
Thank you Mergim for taking us to Cubao today and showing us some Christmas decors inside n outside Gateway mall. Haven’t been back since 2019 but planning to go home next year 2023.
❤️Hi Mergim. Thanks for promoting our food and culture. I'd like to taste that Cafe Amazon cofee too, when it opens at BGC. Right now, i am contented with just having a small cup of hot NESCAFE 3 in 1 coffee with a tablespoon of BRANDY. So aromatic, so good. Try it!🤟🇵🇭
From BGC going to Cubao, if you want to avoid EDSA, you may want to take the C5 route. It can be faster especially during off-peak hours unlike EDSA which is always congested.
Hey Mergim good news for you This your clip video has been promoted by Thai you tubers already On behalf of all Thai we so proud and big thank you to you to promote our Thai coffee brand
Try "FIGARO" which is a Philippine Coffee franchise place like Thailand's coffee. Try it if you like the taste. Figaro Coffee Company brings the FILIPINO COFFEE to the WORLD since 1993. Figaro's prides itself in serving coffee made from freshly-roasted beans sourced from all over the Philippines. The coffee is roasted every week before delivery to all stores to ensure freshness and the perfect cup. With its unique European-style ambiance and restaurant-style service, Figaro promises to exceed customers' expectations each and every time.
Hi…how are you?…drinking tea is not exactly a ‘ Cup of Tea’ for the Filipinos…we are more of a coffee drinker..Especially maybe because we have our own Kapeng Barako…and now we have one of the most expensive coffee bean in the world - The Civet Coffee too known as Kape Alamid….maybe you have noticed that everywhere you go,Starbucks in the Philippines is a Blockbuster!😂 because Filipinos have this what they called as ‘Colonial Mentality’! Pinoys tend to love what they loved in America!😊 as you noticed we speak english which sadly to say is nowadays is getting poor quality..because if Filipinization of education system…before its all english..now teaching is in Tagalog..McDonalds,Dunkin,Pizza Hut,Burger King and more importantly the love for Basketball.almost all they craved for are American products and brand..so just a bit of trivia Mergim for you to know more of Filipino Mentality.😊
Gateway mall 2 will soon open, it was delayed from dec opening to march next year. But Cubao is more of lower market than BGC. It is more of a transport hub since it is near center of metro manila.
Thank you for a telling video, which has some of the commenters/connoisseurs here express their views about coffee. Always appreciate your content of the day. I pray for your safety always when you’re on the road. Take care & stay safe & well. Watching from California.
Unfortunately, their SM North EDSA branch is already closed. I so love their Amazon Extra that bittenerss of the coffee really kicks out no wonder cafe amazon is one of my fave.
there’s one point that Cafe Amazon just pop outs with lots of branch even in rural areas. never thought it was a chain from other country. and yes I remember at some point I saw one in ptt gas
I was like, wait I saw Justin for 3 seconds then he disappeared… where did… how did he… the heck…! Ahh, flashback footage. NICE editing! And, as you said, all Cafe Amazon have a uniform look so the transition was seamless. Love Thai coffee and tea. Ever had Turkish or Armenian coffee. Now that’s some serious sh**. Really strong, but so delicious! (Probably not a good idea to mention those two cultures in the same sentence…but anyway…) Go to Batangas, try cafe Barako. And where *IS* Justin anyway… havent seen him in a while… did he go home for the holidays… (?)
*it's true!* café amazon's coffee (in bangkok) were way bitter than starbucks or any coffee in the philippines i guess, it's just a matter of choice, taste or preference most coffee here in the philippines were "toned" down to make it more palatable or less bitter ~•~ personally, i still prefer starbucks mocha frappe over the others it's unbeatable in that arena
Hi Mergim, this is just my scent. If your audience is mostly Filipinos or here in the Philippines I think you have to check your analytics where your followers most active time. Uploading at 6AM 7AM or 8AM in PH is too early that even me didn't notice that you have upload because it didn't popup in my YT even if I followed you already. The most follower active time was around at 6PM - 10PM evening time but yeah it depends again to your analytics
I tried a popular coffee shop in Bangkok mall, I forgot the name but it’s good. They have the best 3 in 1 Nescafé. We bought a big luggage for long haul travel and stashed all the coffee to bring it home.
Mergim, there's Cafe Amazon in Ortigas 😊 Pearl Place Condominium - Ground floor. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes away from your place if you will use the new bridge connecting BGC and Brixton Pasig 😊

Hi Mergim, you should try next Highlands Coffee, Vietnam's number 1 coffee chain. They have 2 locations there at BGC, one in Arthaland Century Pacific Tower and one in W5th building. Both are in the GF Lobbies. Authentic VN coffees!

CNN Travel has cited San Fernando City, Pampanga, Philippines as one of the 15 Best Places/destinations around the world for a festive visit and that "traditionally offer up some of the best holiday atmosphere for a Christmas drenched vacation." CNN wrote: "If Asia were to have a Christmas capital, San Fernando in the heavily Roman Catholic Philippines would be a top nomination. The city, Northwest of Manila, is renowned for it's giant lantern festival, which starts on December 17 and ends January 1. San Fernando lantern making traditions dates back to the late 18th century. The highlight of a visit here is the parol, a colorful, electric Christmas lantern that symbolizes the star of Bethlehem. The parols recall psychedelic kaleidoscopes, brilliant stained windows, prismatic pinwheels or oversized snowflakes"
You need to adventure outside of bgc mergim. It's like your stuck in the rich high life living now live in bgc. Go subic for example there is lots to do there aswell just like the rest of the Philippines
I'm glad you picked up on the napkin wrap because they were very particular about doing that everywhere I went in Thailand. One time one of the baristas forgot to do it and handed it to me without the napkin, then she caught herself last minute and pulled the drink back to wrap it in the napkin. I thought it was peculiar and laughed when you mentioned it in this video. The fact that they don't do it in the Philippines is a bit upsetting. Just shows you how seriously they take following rules and providing customer service in Thailand. It is much, much higher quality than the Philippines in general in my opinion. Sadly, I don't think Filipinos take as much care in the quality in providing products or services as other countries in Asia.
Hi Mergim, I suggest you check out the CCP Complex along Roxas Boulevard in the Manila Bay area! CCP stands for the "Cultural Center of the Philippines"! It's really nice there especially at night when the huge fountain is all lit up. They also use the facade of the CCP building as a big screen at night. I just thought you may wanna see it before it's renovation! I heard they're going to renovate the building soon!
Not only in the Philippines dude, I am presently based here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and you will be surprised that even though the streets here are wide enough, traffic really here is congested especially during rush hours early morning and afternoon, so it's not only happening in Manila FYI.
I’m having hard to find authentic thai milktea here in Philippines, I have tried one in bangkok and its really good, trying to find that exact good taste. The one I taste here in ph taste like artificial flavor only.
Did Justin get his own motorbike too or did he ride double? At least now you know the Amazon coffee branch in BGC when they open will have the same taste.
Heheh… I was thinking same thing… actually it’s a flashback from when they were in Thailand… it’s hard to tell because, as Mergim says, all Cafe Amazon have the same look.
Cafe Amazon doesnt taste and look apppealing to me neither to my officemates.I dont know perhaps because the interior is different and perhaps because there are just so many options
Café Amazon has a policy that by 2025, the company will be the third in the world in the number of branchs, behind only Starbucks and Luckin Coffee. Because the 3rd-5th place has the number of branches not much different. Wondering if the tastes in the Philippines and Thailand are the same or different? Because sometimes coffee recipes are adjusted to suit the tastes of that country. 🦜🦜🌳🌴🌲🪴🌱
