    Another great video my friend with great tips! Here's a few things I've discovered along the way while working on the No Damage run for this. Hope it's helpful to your audience (and you if you play again)!
    0:51 - Something i stumbled onto while widdling down my No Damage PB is that Slash > Slash > Dodge (no directional input) allows you to chain damage faster than any other method in the game infinitely (on most enemies). In most instances this allows you to get double or triple the damage in on an enemy in the same time window (bosses for example) before they go active again. Additionally, I'd add the bit about the 3rd attack in the standard combo to this section since it's almost never ideal to execute the 3rd attack, which as you mention later can leave you vulnerable to damage since you can not dodge on demand during it depending on where you are in the animation.
    9:45 - Using the attack method i mentioned above on his charge dodge through, execute the above method and you'll get 6 hits on him before he recovers. On his red slam dodge through and you can get two. Yellow parry and use Surge when available. This is the META approach for no damage IMO.
    10:35 - Stay in melee range at all times. On ANY red attack dodge through to the other side and attack twice. On his purple spit attack you can dodge through and use the Slash > Slash > Dodge combo twice for good damage before you'll need to dodge through again. When Erlik is ready to charge you he'll jump away from you to his default range to start the charge. Parry > Attack > Dodge through on Red and repeat. Use surge whenever available. This is the META approach for no damage IMO
    12:16 - Going up from this pole and completing the platforming section above you will get you the first ingot you can possibly get in the game (that's not way out of your way). You should have 325 crystals by this point so you can upgrade your weapons immediately upon returning to the haven. Good way to get ahead of damage profiles early on Immortal.
    12:35 - You can indeed complete this now, this early in the game.
    13:15 - I suggest sprinting on slam vs. dodge. The dodge window is very tight on immortal while sprinting will always allow you to move past the damage hit box. On his tail attack in phase one stand still > dodge toward the boss and then use the Slash > Slash > Dodge combo. You'll get around 6 to 8 hits in during this window. At the start of Phase 2 (after cutscene) you can skip the first purple ball by using a surge attack to push him away from his default location where the attack is scripted to start. Since he's not in that location the game can't start the attack, easy arrow save opportunity. Tail attack in phase 2 dodge through toward the boss, stand still, time your next dodge on the follow up tail, dodge through, use the infinite combo. On both phases you want to start your dodge toward the boss on these tail attacks from it's max range to give you room to work on the boss. After yellow charge attack parry you can get 10 to 12 hits in before he recovers depending on how fast you pull off the slash > slash > dodge combo.

      Huge tips, great comment. Was kind of hoping you'd see it, I knew you'd have helpful things to say considering what you're doing right now. Doesn't the "Ancient Power Unearthed" side quest require Rush of the Simurgh to get to its location? I might've been mistaken.

    Loop Slash, Slash, Arrow to stunlock most enemies in the game, especially heavier foes you can't Launch.

    • @anxjos
      @anxjos 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Worth noting that attacks that would normally launch or bounce normal enemies have more hitstun which allows you to stunlock them in the corner without needing arrows (ie 2 Down Attacks -> Jump -> Hold Down Attack in the Air -> Repeat)
      This also work against a boss of the same enemy type

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. In a corner it becomes super easy, since knockback effects no longer take them out of your attack-range.

    I played the demo yesterday and it blew my fucking mind. I'm really hoping this means more sidescrolling PoP games in this style.

      I'd be happy with more Prince of Persia in general. So many people were aggrieved that this was a Metroidvania instead of a 3D action-adventure and Lost Crown came out swinging, punched all those people in the jaw and effortlessly proved them wrong by being one of the best games in the genre. I think this just shows Prince of Persia can be anything, provided it's made with care, and come out great when it hits the finish line.

      They did. It's time for all the people who bemoan "ah, I wish Ubisoft would release games with _heart_ and _soul_ again some day..." to prove they actually meant what they said and buy this. I was one of them.

    Oh hell I haven't been marking those arrow statues or weird floor pedestals. Gonna have to go back around and start doing that. I've been using my memory shards exclusively for pathways i couldn't access with powers.

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pedestals and metal grates / barred walls. You can just put generic stamps on them, Memory Shards are better used for more specific or 'weird' visual tells.

    Change parry to LB/L1? Got it, played a little bit of the demo and was hesitant to change in case there was any particular reason for it being on L2 but seems there isn’t really a good reason. Awkward one for sure - same experience for Elden Rings’ parry.
    Great little video guide. The early game in the demo was surprisingly tough for what I could tell but will definitely try and use some of this advice when eventually getting around to buying the full game

    • @LeoKRogue
      @LeoKRogue  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The reason it's on L2 is because it's the opposite of R2, which is the dodge, so that makes sense. But, I think ultimately L1 is a lot quicker and more responsive to press down, and the ability that normally goes on that button doesn't actually lose much from being swapped.

      Extremely highly. It's less story-heavy than the Sands Trilogy but the gameplay is so unbelievably good that it's tied with my favorite game in the series now. (Which is Sands of Time.)

    I'm playing on a custom difficulty right now with 1.5x damage taken from enemies and them having 0.8 health so it sort of feels like GoT Lethal and its a pretty perfect balance. It's not overly difficult but punishes me properly if I miss an easy deflect

      I wonder if I could turn it into Katana ZERO by making enemies die in one hit and making myself die in one hit. Is that the lowest/highest those parameters go?

      @protectbabysif 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LeoKRogue I believe you can tune it all the way down to have enemies die in one hit and you as well. Bosses might become trivial at that moment but if you've already played the game as intended once before then I'm sure you don't care

    Bro when I bought the game I instantly put immortal difficulty since I played the demo, it was hard at first but then I got used to the mechanics of the game and after completing my first playtrought on 100% and gaining the platinum trophy first try I say that fighting the bosses in this difficulty feels REALLY satisfaing, still hard, but satisfaing nonetheless
