Shannon played it cool calling for a champion elk caller. Looked like Corey was itching to pull out the tube. Good job on letting Shannon do his thing. He's a heck of a Roosevelt killer.
I loved the giant megaphone bugle that Shannon had. When you really want to reach out and touch someone. I also liked the difference between his style and Corey's. Good stuff.
The Elk 101 team took the word humble to a whole other level in this episode! Given the amount of people that look up to you guys and think of your team as more than just celebrities, you guys surprise us yet again with your acceptance of others! Thank you.
Quotes of the show: Corey: “wake up at 5am and hike all day”....actually, that’s what I think of when I think of Corey Donnie: “thick and wet”....Welcome to Oregon, have a nice day
Love your willingness to learn from more experienced hunters on that species. Also, as great a caller as he is, Corey took a backseat to Shannon. Wonderful to see loss of ego for a chance at success. Hey, Donnie, what did the dad buffalo say to his boy on the first day of school?...……………………………"Bye son"...…………...get it (bison)……...oh no, sorry for that (he,he).
Great episode! A change of pace is always good. The food looked amazing! So used to hearing Corey call that it just didn’t sound right when Shannon did. With different country and elk, it sure was great seeing Corey so humble, confident, but humble enough to learn this different way of doing things. Seemed like the show just started when it ended and made me want to watch more! Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s show!
Holy cow! The different camera angles on those elk is very impressive! What a great perspective. That took a ton of work to pull off, especially in that jungle.
I’ve been hunting Roosevelt’s for 6 years and I know how tuff it is! I’ve watched angry spike my whole life to learn and now it’s awesome watching you guys do it! 🤘🏻
Matt.."I please people with food"..my kind of guy right there! Love the camp setup guys. As much knowledge as y'all have about elk, it's a wise man that learns from others. Way to be guys!
Love that you guys are humble enough to admit you don’t really know it all, even with all the success you have had. You aren’t afraid to seek out people with more experience in certain areas, and I can’t wait to see a Roosevelt hit the ground!!
My words exactly when that bull appeared, "BEAUTIFUL". Hats off to the camera operator for picking up those elk and filming them through that thick forest, good job my brother from a different mother. A little face paint and they won't pick you off as quick, they are used to being hunted the way he smarted up on you. The bull especially spotted that bright face through all those green branches, that's what it looked to me what happened anyway, just like a Kansas Whitetail or Muley. You guys are so humble it's awesome. Keep on keeping on.
Hearing elk scream back gives me chills......and that’s just watching the channel, can only imagine what it would do to me in real life!!!! Crazy encounters
Wow this episode brings a different style and set up for hunting and camping. Matt with the Kitchen set up and Corey and Shannon set up with radios and iPad with OnX mounted for easy display while driving. Something I may try out one day.
Such beautiful scenery! A bad day hunting is definitely better than work. But i dont think there is s bad day hunting, cause you are Creating memories that last for years.
Your guy’s videos make me want to go back to September! Luckily got it done with my first elk ever yesterday here in Montana! Thank you for being an inspiration guys!
Man! This is what all elk camp should look like!! I usually get jacked up and want to go elk hunting when I watch Destination Elk, however now all I want to do is eat haha. Love it!
Love the ZYN in the reflection of the windshield at 8:20 min mark! I use those things which have stopped me from smoking! Classy guys!!! Now thats my kind of spotting for elk! Drive around on knobs and bugling. Usually effective and once we get a reply, ITS ON!
Great job guys. Keep on keeping on!! Those Suzuki rides are the bomb they go anywhere. . Roosevelt elk are definitely different that what we have in NM.
I know a guy that uses one of those Suzuki's for calving in the spring. Works great for muddy pastures. I think I gained weight watching you guys eat. Love the camp setup for sure.
Got to love the temperate rainforest weather, and its spectacular scenery. When we hike in areas as such, I'm always waiting for a velociraptor to be peaking through the ferns.
Not so easy in the wet jungle!... Story of my life..lol camp with a chef wow! You guys got spoiled, that's the way to do it though. Again a little disappointed there was no Donny dad joke..lol thanks for the cool videos guys!
Corey I like how your such a wealth of knowledge yet your always humble enough to learn from others.
My favorite thing from these videos is all the calling tips you give. Just the ability to watch you call all the time is incredibly helpful
You know you're with the serious Hunter when they're hunting out a Suzuki Samurais and Sidekicks awesome
Shannon played it cool calling for a champion elk caller. Looked like Corey was itching to pull out the tube. Good job on letting Shannon do his thing. He's a heck of a Roosevelt killer.
The antlers on those elk look amazing I’ll have to get me one of those some day. Amazing content guys loving it!
I loved the giant megaphone bugle that Shannon had. When you really want to reach out and touch someone. I also liked the difference between his style and Corey's. Good stuff.
“Well it’s the morning of... today”. Lol

The smile on Donnie’s face whilst holding a full plate of food for breakfast says it all 😋👍
I keep expecting to see Predator chasing Arnold in that jungle.
Another excellent episode guys. Steep deep and thick is the best way to describe the Oregon coast range! I love the challenge of it all!
Dad joke:
Why do seagulls fly by the sea?
Because if they flew by the bay they'd be bagels.
Thanks to all of you guys for recording your hunts and giving us all something to relish in.

Nice job John spotting that bull in the brush. They are so big but hide so well.
The Angry Spike guys sure seem to know what they're doing in Rosie country. Feeling confident there will be some elk down in the coming episodes.
The struggle is legit... Oregon is brutal it looks like... you guys are great keep em coming
Humility and a smile are golden!
I’ve been hunting Roosevelt’s for 6 years and I know how tuff it is! I’ve watched angry spike my whole life to learn and now it’s awesome watching you guys do it! 🤘🏻
Thanks for sharing the video, I'm watching it from 7,200 miles away from home!
Lush country! Awesome food! Great company! Elk Camp/Hunting at its finest!
Happy Birthday Shannon!
That's the best camp spread for archery elk hunting ever. One lucky group right there. Loved seeing the elk activity in those clear cut areas
Great video! Yes Shannon Mobbs he knows elk that's for sure. Great man and elk hunter go Shannon!
Matt.."I please people with food"..my kind of guy right there! Love the camp setup guys. As much knowledge as y'all have about elk, it's a wise man that learns from others. Way to be guys!
Oh man sweaty palm action watching those antlers poke through the foliage.
love you guys. keep hammering the calls and logging the miles. love your styles and your attitudes
Love that you guys are humble enough to admit you don’t really know it all, even with all the success you have had. You aren’t afraid to seek out people with more experience in certain areas, and I can’t wait to see a Roosevelt hit the ground!!
I’m sure the videos don’t do the country justice for how thick steep and pretty it is. Pretty cool stuff.
Good camp meals are part of our family tradition. The food looks great. Keep up the good work!

ASP, aka “Rosie whisperers”... those guys are my hero’s of Rosie country! Can’t wait to see you guys connect on a bull
Love seeing the “back at camp” footage almost as much as elk footage... that’s what it’s all about, real as it gets.
The matching geo trackers(or whatever those were) is pretty epic. Plus the ONX on the tablets is genius
It always nice to have an awesome camp chef that is always dedicated to fixing the good stuff so you have fuel to power on when you get an elk down
That's an amazing camp setup. That's now two different Roosevelt slaying groups that waits until well after breakfast to start hunting.
Looks like you guys feasted, that country is beautiful and thick like hunting elk in a fairy tale land.
What a team!!! I can only imagine where this will lead in the coming days. Thanks for showing us everything it takes to make this happen.
I have learned so much from Elk 101 and all of these videos! Thanks for being willing to share your vast experiences and knowledge 😃
Wow this episode brings a different style and set up for hunting and camping. Matt with the Kitchen set up and Corey and Shannon set up with radios and iPad with OnX mounted for easy display while driving. Something I may try out one day.

I could smell that food all the way in Montana. What a nice treat. Learning a bunch in each video. Thanks Guys
That was a good looking bull! Your camera man deserves a raise! He seems to be spotting elk like crazy!
Goodness those Rosie's are so pretty. Such cool colors on the antlers.
It's amazing to watch elk traverse that kind of country with such speed
Darn that was close. Getting so close is so exciting to watch but to be there would be amazing.
Keep rolling
I'm really excited for this collaboration. I have a feeling its fixing to get good!
This comment aged well.
You all have some really great sponsors. That is a testament to the value you are adding to the elk hunting community. Keep it up!
What a jungle that is!! You have to almost step on them to see ‘em!! That dark green canopy is unreal!!
I really appreciate the skill you exhibit hunting and the high quality videos you produce.
Good food and friends make elk hunts that you will remember forever. Love those experiences
Your guy’s videos make me want to go back to September! Luckily got it done with my first elk ever yesterday here in Montana! Thank you for being an inspiration guys!
Shannon is a wealth of knowledge - great addition to the series.
Always a great day to be alive when you have the joy of pursuing elk. Incredible spot on the bull and amazing footage!
I love watching your Close Encounters.
That was a heart pounding few minutes waiting for the Elk to move on the face off.
That’s the sign of a good hunter. They never think they know everything and are always willing to take input on somebody else and try a new technique.
Man that was some amazing looking country. Reminded me of N. Idaho! It’s so fun just watching you guys do your thing!! WE NEED MORE DAD JOKES!!!! 😂😂😂
Things are getting good in Oregon. Hopefully tonight you guys will seal the deal. Good Luck.
Man that's some awsome looking country, I love Shannon's set up with tablet in car that's an awsome idea. Happy birthday shannon
It's cool seeing the different elk territory. And the education continues. Love the elk hunting community!
This looks so much different than the Wasatch Mountains hunting I’m used to. Love it!
Man! This is what all elk camp should look like!! I usually get jacked up and want to go elk hunting when I watch Destination Elk, however now all I want to do is eat haha. Love it!
This season sure is action packed compared to last year, at least you guys are into bugling bulls! Awesome work guys, keep at it!
That was some serious grub!! And one helluva Roosevelt!!!
Excellent videography! It’s nice to be able to watch and learn and not get wet and tired!
Love the ZYN in the reflection of the windshield at 8:20 min mark! I use those things which have stopped me from smoking! Classy guys!!!
Now thats my kind of spotting for elk! Drive around on knobs and bugling. Usually effective and once we get a reply, ITS ON!
Every episode always delivers new tools and techniques. Great job!! Thank you
It looks like Corey is still chasing the dream of finding elk in old growth. Beautiful country, but still seeing most of the elk in the clear cuts.
Clear cuts are so cool. He had the spread laid out and it was everything!!
Great job guys. Keep on keeping on!! Those Suzuki rides are the bomb they go anywhere. . Roosevelt elk are definitely different that what we have in NM.
Always fun to have a staring contest with a bull at close range. Keep up the great episodes.
Every episode keeps me on the edge of my couch!
Thanks for all your hard work to share your hunts with us. I appreciate you guys!
What a nice spread for hunting camp. Definitely helps morale and to make you feel welcome.

I swear these videos are getting better and better each time I watch one! Great job guys!
Great episode! You got my wife hooked. She says she wants to elk hunt next season!
I've missed the past 2 days. This was great to see this episode. I've never hunted country quite this thick and steep. Good luck guys.
I know a guy that uses one of those Suzuki's for calving in the spring. Works great for muddy pastures. I think I gained weight watching you guys eat. Love the camp setup for sure.
Thanks for everything you do. Learn something new every episode!
That dinner looks so good. Hopefully you guys will be feasting on some elk in the next episode
That is definitely Oregon looks all to familiar, great hunt guys and so much knowledge to learn from. Thank you for this amazing series.
Just goes to show you no matter how much you know. A new unit always gives the best a taste of humble pie. LOL
What a hunt. A private chef. And that 6x6 at the end. What a great bull. I see blood in your future walk blood.
That grubs not bad! And those little “stompers” are bad ass! Keep up the good work boys!
I like the truck hunting! After 121 miles on my boots during Colorado archery season, I am jealous! Another great episode boys!
It's a huge accomplishment to be in Roosevelt elk everyday like you guy's have been.
Those bulls will stay put and hide until they wind you, Great footage! Pretty good looking groceries!
Great footage of the elk running across that open ground. Beautiful animal.
