Competition is heating up in this space. Love that there are a lot of options available for the needs of different pilots. Personally, I'd love to see an updated T-Lite V3 with 2 Li-ION cells and 1W ELRS power. Come on Jumper, let's do it!
Thanks for the review. I think I like the look of the T14 just a little more than the boxer but the T20 is probably better for me overall. Getting tired of the taranis and need to retire that guy soon.
Looks a lot like the boxer but with the better oled screen. Really wished radiomaster had an oled screen option. I guess this is how jumper starts taking marketshare.
This class of radio is targeted at FPV multirotors primarily. The screen is irrelevant when the goggles are on. As long as you an see it to make adjustments, it's good enough. OLED is overkill. The screen on the boxer is just fine for its intended purpose. OLED on a radio of this type just increases cost unnecessarily IMO.
@@frankcastillo8869 how often do you really need to make changes to the radio when you're in the field? I feel like I just turn mine own and never really look down haha

T14 looks good, love the Jumper Antenna's ( the ability to turn 45 degrees). So many options now with all the different radio. Switches s/keen fine for pinchers /hibrid grip pilots. Awesome review and comparison with the Boxer. Throw test lol 😆 😂 I would also like to see that, let us know
Yeah and the oled screen looks good. There is an oled mod you can do on the boxer but supposedly its bot as easy to see in bright sunlight. I’m curious if that’s the case for the new jumper. I did the flat antenna mod and am putting the lights under the ag01 today. Wiring them up to the potentiometer so they will be able to dimmed.
Not a fanboy lol but have you tried the boxer? Its honestly super solid! The T14 looks like the child of a boxer + mambo lol. I'd be interested in trying out the T14 if they come out with a "pro" version
@@malnasimon7041 I honestly would've loved to go with a mambo but they never released an ELRS version or even EdgeTX. That was a deal breaker for me. The boxer "max" definitely feels premium with the AG01 gimbals
As owner of mambo i really like the folding antenna, trainer port and location of usb port. I am not really sure how i feel about gimbals and trim switches. I would love to have a look how inside looks like especially how servicable it is i would consider recommending it as first radio.
What a comprehensive evaluation of the shape and features of the T14. Really isn't that all the difference there is between EdgeTX radios? The shape of some are better for some people, some people prefer OLED to text LCD, etc. I find I flip the left outer switch on the Boxer sometimes when disarming but on the T14 it is far enough in that I don't. Not a fan of the shoulder buttons on either but I like that you can easily change them on the T14.
I've seen a few reviews of this radio and this is honestly the best, thanks for going in detail!! If Jumper ever comes out with a "max/pro" version similar to the boxer like you mentioned I might have to grab one. Currently using the boxer and my two complaints are the antenna and the gimbals or the depth of the gimbals which makes it tough for me to full deflect since I'm a pincher. This seems to improve both of those! Thanks again!
Good morning everyone. Nice having options when it comes to radio's. While I prefer my ginormous tx16s, I do have the Jumper T20 for travel and backup. No issues with the quality. I do like that oled screen on the T14, I'd give up all the buttons, knobs and sliders on the T20 for that. 😎
iv orderd one , the don't offer warranty or service u need to pay for what they send in broken so u know , the motor is lose and rambling and jamming PROBLEM ( 7months ago)
i'm regretting it, the fam motor is lose and the seller won't help me out , he send me to the jumper store and they want me to order something that is getting more and more expensive for something that came in broken out off package. the way off communication is so bad , it makes me angry. but jumper rc tells me first to pay 3.50 and now 10 for a motor wtf, last time jumper for me
do you know where I can get those switches to change out the top buttons? I like the latching switch but I want to change the momentary switch. Got my T14 earlier this week and liking it so far. I'm used to the gamepad style controllers and it's a pretty easy transition for me with a few flights down. I'll be using it more and see how it goes.
I just got a boxer and wish Radiomaster would adopt the Jumper style 6-pos switch that EdgeTX lets you program a lot of different ways. I am surprised this radio didn’t include them since so much is a boxer clone.
This looks so similar to the boxer. I'm tempted by the metal gimbals, but considering I have a boxer already and I've heard great things about it, I will wait till I get a long term review. The LED screen does look neat though. I've always been a sucker for dark theme.
Just based on the reviews I’ve seen I think I would like the t20 more than the t14 for the same reasons as you. It is smaller and looks like it would be easier to thumb. Nice review as always
i cant understand JUmper and the T20vs T14. A radio that has the amount of switch and dial hardware NEEDS a bigger screen for programming yet most of its functionality will go to waste. NOW they bring out a slightly larger format radio with a bigger screen but a lot let switching hardware. These design choices baffle me.
Just incase its helpful to anyone. I have a boxer max, and a t20 with rdc90's. The boxer is much nicer (although more expensive because its the max). I got the T20 as it was very cheap on aliexpress, to use for travaling. It's nice, but much cheaper feeling. This T14 takes a boxer and put worse gimbles in it for an oled screen from what i can see.
Hey Albert! First time actually catching a video on release, but I appreciate the review! Loved how you mentioned the feel of the two controllers, and the thickness of plastic and the weight between the boxer and the T14. I also think that whether or not a controller is better or not based on weight is purely subjective. Great review, but I'm gonna stick with my Qx7!
Honestly the boxer, T14 or the T20 would be solid choices. I went with the boxer and its been great so far! The RM TX16 is way too bulky for me personally
Great review...I have the Boxer and LOVE it however, it does fall short on the LCD screen...especially compared to the great looking OLED screen on the T14.

Seems it uses built-in storage or at least the sd card isn't accessible unless you tear down the radio

Does that mean that oled screens are going to become the standard for transmitters with black and white screens?
