I used to follow the Acorn Electron Five Games Five Minutes and loved the series. I thought you'd stopped making Electron videos when you moved to the Dragon 32 series. Great to see you still going Dave. I feel like I've gone back in time watching this video!
Great to see another Five Games in Five Minutes after such a long time. Looking forward to the next episode; hopefully there'll be some games I actually want to play.
I had Holed Out on the BBC Micro. It came on one of the later "Play It Again Sam" compilations. Like in your Electron review, the Beeb took a while to build up the graphics, but I don't recall it using the top part of the screen as a memory register / dumping ground
Great to see another episode of 5 games 5 minutes for the electron. AM curious that you are calling this one #79, as the previous video in this series was also 79, so I assumed this one would be #80. Stil great to see it back again :)
@@everygamegoing Yeah I love watching the series from 1 through to now so am looking forward to this one being added to that playlist and I can enjoy a marathon of 80 videos, if not even more :)
Yeah, the game is quite brutal, especially with the accuracy of the alien fighters. We played it in the Stardot Forums' high score competition (on the BBC Micro version which is a lot faster than the Electron version). Although I could regularly get past level 1, I've never been past level 2 as there's an extremely difficult pod that you have to hit between 2 walls. The pod is on my video at just past the 3 minute mark: th-cam.com/video/vXXI6_lRGpo/w-d-xo.html

I am going to make more in this series. I think it could comfortably reach 100 episodes.
Excellent! He's not lost his touch.
My goodness, I remember you! Fondly, I might add! Has it really been six years?! Great to see you back :)
Yay! Welcome back 😀

I second that. These are all missed opportunities or "they're rubbish" ones, but still great to watch a new countdown! :)

Oops. For some reason that one didn't show up in my feed. I have corrected it to #80. It was meant to be the next one chronologically.

Psycastria, what a bastard of a game. Think I got on to the second lvl once and that was using the 99 lives cheat.

best electron game for me - Repton 2.
I used to really enjoy Frenzy too.
it's been a while!
Nice to see another video! Also hilarious to see an educational game with poor grammar!
Great to see these return
