Thank you Dale for sharing this beloved boot. Trickers is one of the best manufacturers in the world. I had the opportunity to visit the factory in Northampton, and it was unforgettable. Gracias amigo!

Trickers, the best a man can get, I've got Stow in tan or Acorn as they call it, and Kudos, amazing boots, Burford, and three pairs of Henry, one 30 years old in tan with amazing patina, blue suede and brown, all with Commando heel and soles, i live 20 minutes from Trickers, the factory shop is worth a visit, several of my pairs came from there at around half price.

Good choice, a charming boot that will last you for a very very long time. I have purchased from other British brands but I always go back to trickers. They are great value for money

Loake, another UK heritage brand, makes almost the exact same boots for far less. I’ve had a pair for 10 years and they are also fantastic. Just an FYI.

Loake produce in india the upper! And than assemble the shoes in uk just to grab the made in england mark! Also the quality of the material ar not in the same level as Tricker’s is! Part of the loake sole are glued and pressed cardboard while tricker’s use only real hogh quality leather for all the sole unit and welt. Plus Tricker’s is 100% made in england, even the laces are made in England. There a reason why loake cost less! Go to shoes healer channel or in store and it will shows you a split in 2 shoe where you see exactly the quality difference.

@@MrMarcob73 I’m not disputing that Trickers is likely higher quality, but I’ve owned a pair of Loake brogue boots for 10 years and have put them through the paces and they still look like they were made yesterday. Do you have a source for the claim that all their uppers are made in India? Their website explicitly states that their 1880 line is 100% made in England, so if they are lying I’m sure UK regulators would be interested to know. Also on their website, they claim that all materials, even in their Indian made shoes are sourced in the UK. Once again if you have a credible source to dispute that, I’d love to see it.

The Loake 1886 range of boots and shoes are totally made in England and are comparable with Trickers in quality. They do make a range in their Indian factory that they sell cheaper but it is a Loake owned and managed facility using materials supplied from England and exclusively making Loake products. They tell you which range is made in England vs. those assembled in India.

Nice review - love my Stow in Muflone leather. Difference from Acorn calf is that Muflone is a softer grain leather so it feels broken in from day 1.
I do have an issue... why did you waste the first 3 mins ripping off Stridewise video? You could’ve cut most of that out and focus on your own take on the boot.

Cheers Dale! In your opinion- and experience- after wearing your own Tricker’s boots: would you say their fitting 5 fits truly like a D or closer to an E width?
Unsure if I should proceed with their standard fitting 5 or fitting 6, given I wear said E width in Alden, GS & AE. Appreciate your input. Thanks.

These trickers in UK 8 fit exactly like my grant stone in 8.5. I’d say yes trickers fits close to an E width for sure

Do your Trickers Stows have a bellows tongue?

$795 is horribly overpriced for what the boot is.

It’s a secret calfskin from an unknown tannery but overall I agree they are overpriced but they’re relying on their brand reputation and status similar to Alden or Viberg

The Trickers website includes VAT in its price. Without VAT they are $610.
