Great video. I'm not a huge fan of raw time comparisons, especially given the variety of run-up distances, but you did a really good job finding appropriate comparisons.
Thanks and I agree with you! It is a tricky thing and takes a lot of time of just "knowing" what the average times are at other tracks. So I totally get what you mean.
Love the channel Was wondering if you could do a video on how to create the excel track profile spreadsheet from your podcast? Would be much appreciated
Closers rely on fast pace up front. How do you discount the other closers when there running style fits the pace. Is it because they didn’t show winning races at that speed and the favourite did?
Exactly that! They fit from a race shape perspective, but have not won against the projected fractions before and are not better than the off-the-pace horse we targeted.
I tried it with a race at woodbine and the speed horse needed to get front which he did and got the lead and no one was capable of closing. All the other speeds couldn’t keep up.
Cockburn? LOL Seriously we need to band together as horseplayers and get some real community going. It's SO hard to find content about horseracing on social media and when you do it's foreign races where they don't have full runlines. I have a ton of horseracing material.
@@RyanPip_ Bro it's so hard because I'm a horsercing fanatic. I'm literally handicapping a race right now. It's the 5th of August. I have SO much handicapping material and over a hundred thousand PPs with the associated results charts to practice any system I want on. I think what we need is a horseracing handicapping social network. But I know that would have it's challenges too. I scour YT looking for channels but I usually find the UK based ones. American based ones are super tough to find. I think people just don't look at it the same as sports betting, but if they knew what they were doing they'd see it's a super fun sport. Dude I even got an old book on my thumbdrive called "how to use numerology to beat horseracing". Crazy right?

Yes, we do need to expand the racing community. What do you suggest we do to help aid that?
