Was Reparing my 40/2 while watching your video, very useful, everything back to the way it should. However, just one issue poped out, after screwing the aperture component back onto the focusing component, there is a very slight left and right wiggle, about 0.4mm wiggle (not front and back loose as it would affect the focusing).
Is there any way to tighter that part?

Any videos on how to adjust the focus on this lens?

Could this work apply to a 28mm Elmarit R lens ? Mine has slightly stiff focus. Thanks.

Hi kenneth, by chance do you repair cameras from other people? I would like to see if someone could help me repair my olympus XA2 but I live in Hawaii and cant find someone who has experience with it. While troubleshooting my flash i noticed on side of the camera body where the flash attaches that there is a small metal flat piece inside that was bent upwards . I folded the small piece down and now when i attach my camera it automatically forces the flash to pop up and I can no longer switch the flash (feels jammed) on the body. I cannot figure out a way to reposition the metal piece to its original form.

Video @ 53:33 "Maybe it's important and maybe not" - It isn't. There's no kind of an eccentric in this tube/holder, ala a Binocular objective etc.
BTW, your use of Loctite is excessive. On precision Leica items, there's very little need for it (tight tolerances stay tight). You're just making it tough on the next service tech...
