No criticism just advice, when whisking egg whites do so in a spotless glass bowl and spotless whisk that's not been used for the butter as grease stops it fully air rating then add your sugar, then whisk again to incorportate. This will make it's extra fluffy airy stiff peaks. Your doing great Hun, baking is like a chemistry experiment and can be very precise and daunting you really are trying and doing well so don't give up and the result looks good. Plus your still young and it's nice to see you trying new recipes. Love watching your cooking videos and watching your confidence grow. As for corer, amazon do a contraption that suctions to your counter that cores peels and slices its amazing and a game changer i love mine.
when i baked this delicious cake i let it cool and sprinkled icing sugar and flaked almonds on top xx also i cut the apples smaller it makes a difference xx

Shannon a lot of chef’s use lemon juice with apples in recipes to stop the apples going brown and also helps with the flavour
