She has seperated the child from the father, for me that isn't loving.
Wolfy She did nothing wrong. There were red flags after red flags. The dad lied about the mum, he lied about his name/info, so she asked the police man to check him out.
As dar as they know he was kidnapped by the dad. At that point it’s a worry. It could be for the better like here (unfortunately courts will side with the mum 9 times out of 10), or he could have been a real danger to the kid, or simply took him to spite the mum. They rush to find him. He’s arrested, at which point she realizes this might have been a rare case the kid was better off, unfortunately she just has to hope the courts do their job, and maybe call social services.
We have the benefit of hindsight, she does not. In the moment, the choices she made were correct.

The woman doesn't look very well so I wouldn't be surprised if she was doing drugs although she might just be sick and a bitch, unfortunatly that's not enough to get the kid away from her infuence. Still, I probably would at least try to get child services involved with this 'family' to check her and the kid out. Too bad father got himself in this situation I have a feeling that makes it harder to get the kid under his care if he is more capable than the mother, he at least is nicer to his son than the mother is.

If you are not, then that's one more lie to throw on his pile. If he was not lying, then I recommend getting cleaned up prior to the hearing and inevitable custody battle. Teddy did want to go to your house after the crash.

To all the people asking weather or not the boy is okay, let me make this clear: He is not okay, and will not be. He will be stuck in a battle between his mother and father for a few years, remember it and be in therapy for many more years. He is also a lot more likely to use drugs himself in the future, and also be abusing to his future partner if he doesn’t succeed in therapy.
