A true Aussie battler, he is one of the most humble people.
His book is a very decent, well worth of a read, I can't put it down.

Another episode of this show featuring the now-deceased Bert Newton was sourced from Station WIN-Wollongong and had a stereo soundtrack. I'm almost certain this is an episode from later in 1997 and, unless it was recorded on a mono VCR, then Station NBN-Newcastle, as late as 1997 was still transmitting mono audio.

So funny the mention of travel rorts to Bronwyn Bishop - the very thing would bring her down some 18 years later.
