The purist fans of the games took insult on the version of Prince of Persia :( and of course there are those who accused it of whitewashing the movie. Sad, it was very well done and I really like Jake as Dastan.
Yes. Exactly my thoughts. It's Disney movie, of course there'll be white wash, and historical inaccuracies and so many other things. But I still like it.. the action, the acting, the magic..it just got so much to go for sequels..😟

Sometimes, it happens but other times, as with Jake Gyllenhaal, he has a proven track record. Additionally, they aren't being disrespectful to the culture or belittling the world. Finally, this is a fantasy game. Absolute realism isn't the preview of the movie. Good storytelling trumps following the extended world building of the game. That's the primary reason most game movies flop in the first place. They can't make a passable story with a good cast of actors.

Alamut is located in Iran, I cannot understand why they used indian architecture and hindu culture for a city in the middle of Iran/persia... makes no historic/geographic sense >.

P.s I'm aware you and I have the same opinion. I liked this movie a lot and wish they'd made another.
Jake is a great hero. Wish we could see him on action soon.

Because they mix cultures so the movie could be more interesting but if you want to see how real Percia look like you must go to Iran,Syria,Jordan...
