Hi Carrie! I personally would have appreciated you putting the time into doing longer wear tests on these. I have had so many occasions where I have tried on shorts that I thought were great at the time while walking around or running in place in the fitting room but after wearing them in my normal life have been extremely disappointed when they caused chafing. A lot of the shorts you tried in this video seemed great but I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen in a longer test!
I know it’s a bigger commitment, but I really feel like wearing each pair for a day would really be a lot more helpful for a review. Rolling up is my biggest issue with anti chafe shorts and I don’t think that can be tested just by moving around for a minute or two. Otherwise, love the video idea! Excited to be introduced to snag since I hadn’t heard of them before, they’re affordable, and so many people in the comments are raving about them!

Unless they are rolling up immediately when you put them on (so they're an obvious no), it's SO much more helpful when you can actually report back on how they held up over the course of the day. If you don't want to that upfront for the initial video, you have a vlog channel. Give a little 2-5 minute update on your vlog when you happen to wear them, and then link the video here.
Agreed, at least sitting down and getting up would have been helpful. I find that anti chafe shorts tend to roll up the most when I sit down and then stand back up.
honestly i would’ve preferred to see your thoughts after a full day of wear!! it’s one thing to wear them around the room but i find after a bit of sweating and walking up/downstairs is a different experience 🧡
I have been wearing snag tights chub rub shorts for the last 3 years or so and there is no pilling, over stretching or snagging on them. The two pairs I bought 3 years ago are still like new. I have two neutral colour ones and one pair of black ones. They never ride up and even on hot days they stay nice and cool and are very moisture wicking.
I swear by Snag chub rub shorts at the moment. The material has not degraded, they are sooooo lightweight (very important for me, i HATE feeling overheated), and they don't move/ride up a ton (i wore them to a wedding, did a TON of dancing, and I did not have to adjust them once!)
I love my Snags!! I’ve worn them about 5 days a week for 2 years and there’s no pilling or pulling at all. They wash up well and stay cool! I highly recommend them for long term wear!
They are the best tights I've ever owned and I have at least a dozen pairs. They feel great against your skin and never lose their shape! I wash them in a lingerie bag on delicate and hang them to dry and they look like new. The Jockey Generation slip shorts at Target are my absolute favorites. They have a couple of different styles and I like them all. Look very similar to the thigh society and are super affordable. I’ve had all mine for a few years and they have held up great.
I have several pairs of shorts from Thigh Society and I absolutely love them! I wear them under my work pants daily, and any time I wear a dress or skirt. I especially love the mesh cooling ones. They're seriously awesome and they hold up well!
From Europe,so snag tights is my go to. I have the same ones Carrie ordered, for 3 years now and they are great. I use them regularly (especially now that I lost my black pair somewhere) so there is some usage visible and I do need to adjust sometimes after a lot of walking but I still love them compared to other similar “tights” they are a lot better and the price speaks for itself ❤

I’ve had my thigh society shorts for almost two years now and they have held up very well! I always hang dry them. They don’t add any bulk and help me feel secure without cutting in at all! They are starting to get some really tiny pulls or holes that I’ll sew up and might not happen if I was hand washing them.

Out of these brands, I have only tried Thigh Society, but I love them! They are comfy even in the FL summer heat. I can wear them for hours with little to no adjusting needed.
I don't love the snag chub rug shorts but 100% the best tights ever. They last forever, wash really well don't rip, rub away, stretch. I would never buy any other tights. I recently lost 16.5 stone and assumed my old tights would be no good but they still work they are just less opaque x

I was recommended Jockey cooling slipshorts years ago now and they are my absolute favorite go-to anti chafing and all around comfort shorts for under dresses & skirts all year round. I wear a size XXL and I have at least 5 in a nude color and 5 in black. They are not shapewear so they are extremely comfortable but they also don’t ride up or move once I put them on. I would highly recommend giving them a try!

I've had the og Spanx Thinstincts for several years now. They wear great, have no pilling, and they don't move or roll up. I recently bought the newest version 2 sizes smaller since I've lost 80 lbs. I have to say, I love them! They stay in place and smooth out all my lumps and bumps, but that is what I prefer. And I can still wear my older pair if I don't feel like wearing shapewear since they fit like bike shorts.
Don’t know if you’ve previously tried any from Jockey, but they have my favorite ones! Very affordable and generally pretty easy to find. The best part is they are thin, but wash super well and don’t make you over heat, PLUS they’re not compressing!
I’ve noticed that too with my skims smoothing shorts and I adjust throughout the day! But I still love them and thanks for reviewing the thigh society shorts too-I was actually planning to buy those next month!!
I love Snag products and have been wearing the tights since the company started. I've never tried the chib rub shirts though. They would be goid under maxi dresses and skirts. I usually just buy short length leggings for under anything knee length or shorter so i dont worry about any knicker or upper thigh flashing
The aerie 7” goals bike shorts are my HOLY GRAIL. I just ordered another pair because I wear them with everything. I just wish they came in other colors than black! They have a raw hem at the bottom but never roll up! They got me through Greece and backpacking Europe last summer
You should totally do this but with Amazon bike shorts! I feel like sometimes the individual brands aren't as accessible or the return policies are not as good so an Amazon bike shorts review would be awesome
Snag tights shorts are nice... for wearing them about 4-5 times.... because if you walk a lot they will literally dissolve between the thighs (and even melt into your skin--> soooo painful!! 😰)
I love the feel of my knix, but they soak my outer clothes when i sweat. I have thigh society shorts too, and i love them, especially because of how stretchy they are at the waist, but they are constantly sold out of my size and color. I bought my knix after waiting like 2 months for thigh society to restock actually!
Thigh society cooling shorts are actually really good! I wore them under a dress on a hot humid day for hours and was so so comfortable walking around. No chafing and no discomfort. I thought these to be a bit expensive but if they last a while it’s worth the money.
I love the testing of these kind of shorts ❤ Maybe for the next shorts/pants trying add in a sit down test 💡 Because a lot feel really nice standing but horrible when sitting down 😅
Chub rub isn't not really talked about in Japan, probably most people here are quite slender. I used to buy a lot of glide body products whenever travelling to the US and stock up for hot humid summer in Japan. Recently I've found that Uniqlo produces shapewear that works perfectly to avoid chub rub. The price is very reasonable too, compared to other shapewear products in Japan. Maybe you can give it a try :)
I really like the Lane Bryant level 2 smoothing high rise shaper shorts. I get the size 26/28 which is a size above my normal size because I don't really want to be shaped, I just want the 'chub rub' protection and they are very nice.
I have to say I just use the longer ones from H&M in a nude colour. They are pretty cheap and work fine for me for anti-chafing purposes (they are not shapewear though).

I have the spanx Assets shorts that I got from targets website and I think they would be more similar to the spanx shorts Carrie is describing. I absolutely love them!
I haven’t worn snag tights, but I used to wear body tights (thicker tights for dance) with and without sheer tights on top - both of them, I had problems with the fabric wearing away on my inner thighs. This was very heavy usage but I have strong memories of being in pain after wearing through the tights. I would be very skeptical of the snag tights for that reason.
i have the full pantihose from Snag & I LOVE THEM. I'm 5'10" & 220lb & the size E fit like a dream & I never have to adjust them which has never happened seeing as my legs are so long
I always wear bike shorts under my skirts, especially mini skirts. I find that the best shorts are the ones with pockets since most skirts don't have pockets. its been so convenient for me to just put my phone in my shorts pocket whenever I'm wearing a miniskirt that doesnt have pockets. literally life-changing. all shorts should have pockets

In my experience, when slip shorts are a bit tight on my thighs, not even to a point where they are uncomfortable, they roll up instantly. I really dislike my Spanx shorts because of the lack of seam, so they roll up right away. So annoying :( I love my Thigh Society shorts!!
Thigh Society is a Canadian company so I imagine that’s why they took longer to get to California. I wonder how long it took to get the shorts from the UK.
I've used the snag ones & unfortunately they 100% give me a pretty brutal tights chub rub rash after a hot day of walking around in them (I live in Queensland Australia, so pretty humid environment)
I have these biker shorts from Amazon I got years ago and they are perfect for a day at the park sweat, humidity, rain, heat and all I had no issues with chub rub while wearing them. I haven’t found anything else that works that well, I tried few of those powders and rub on products for chub rub and still got bad irritation. Imma have to see what brand they were.
I've learned that Spanx is my least favorite brand for shorts/shapewear. They always roll up on my legs and if I am wearing something high-waisted, they always roll down. I tend to like wearing the 6" Lululemon Wunder Train or Align shorts for anti-chafing. For shapewear + anti-chafing, I prefer Honey Love. I'll have to try Thigh Society and Snag!

Next time you should try the Jockey Skimmies slip shorts. I have worn them for years and love them! I'd love to hear your thought on how they compare to other shorts you've tried.
I just got some by Yummie but they look super tiny. Haven't tried on yet. Got them because they have a silicone strip on legs. Everything rolls up on my chunky legs!

This is a little different but for anybody wanting running/hiking/workout shorts: REI 5” swiftland shorts are great. They don’t get ate up by my thighs during workouts and hikes 😊 a video of athletic shorts for bigger thighs (that aren’t only biker shorts) would be a cool video

I've been watching all your bike shorts/ anti chafing short videos cause I want to start wearing more dresses, and I realized THE reason I don't wear them is the thigh chafing. No other reason and I thought to myself, that's so tragic, I'm sure I can find some good shorts recommendations online, and I found you and your videos! You're a real one for these resources and I'd love to see more from as many brands as you can get your hands on because so many shorts are just... Too short! They don't protect my thighs at all and I feel like I can't move freely without feeling both the pain of chafing and the self consciousness of shorts the ride up to the point they look like underwear. I feel like I don't hear girls talk about this at all, and I felt like I was just a weirdo for "not liking shorts or dresses" but what I don't like is my big ole thighs burning each other raw when I'm trying to have a good time in the summer 😂 Sorry for the essay but wow I've just been getting so frustrated with not being able to find shorts that actually cover and protect my thighs and I'm so happy I thought to look up bike shorts on TH-cam and that lead me to your awesome videos ❤️✨ keep it up I'm a new fan!
Gold bond powder really helps it heal. Dries the skin and it’s medicated, so it soothes and helps the skin recover. I never travel without it. It will usually heal overnight.
The Knix ones are tight in the thigh hem for me too. I do have pretty chunky legs though, so I assumed that was why. Maybe it is actually intentional. That aside, I really like them.
All of these shorts and most active wear are synthetic materials. I feel like they make me sweat more. I always wear stretch cotton bike shorts but they can be quite thick. Are there any natural fibre products out there?

I was feeling this way too, even if she just did a couple hours for each pair, it would’ve been a lot better and I could get a better feel of them.

Same here. Sometimes mine ride up but I have a couple different sizes and the ones that ride up are the bigger one, so it's probably a me issue.
I just wish they had shorter ones! Have asked several time over the years and they keep saying they'll work on it.

Don’t know if you’ve previously tried any from Jockey, but they have my favorite ones! Very affordable and generally pretty easy to find. The best part is they are thin, but wash super well and don’t make you over heat, PLUS they’re not compressing!
I'm a fan of the thigh society ones. I like how thin they are but also they wash really nice. I've had them for over a year now and they held up.

I love Snag products and have been wearing the tights since the company started. I've never tried the chib rub shirts though. They would be goid under maxi dresses and skirts. I usually just buy short length leggings for under anything knee length or shorter so i dont worry about any knicker or upper thigh flashing
The aerie 7” goals bike shorts are my HOLY GRAIL. I just ordered another pair because I wear them with everything. I just wish they came in other colors than black! They have a raw hem at the bottom but never roll up! They got me through Greece and backpacking Europe last summer
You should totally do this but with Amazon bike shorts! I feel like sometimes the individual brands aren't as accessible or the return policies are not as good so an Amazon bike shorts review would be awesome
I have some from Knix that I LOVE. Practically live in them in the summer under dresses.
Snag tights shorts are nice... for wearing them about 4-5 times.... because if you walk a lot they will literally dissolve between the thighs (and even melt into your skin--> soooo painful!! 😰)
I love the feel of my knix, but they soak my outer clothes when i sweat. I have thigh society shorts too, and i love them, especially because of how stretchy they are at the waist, but they are constantly sold out of my size and color. I bought my knix after waiting like 2 months for thigh society to restock actually!

Thigh society cooling shorts are actually really good! I wore them under a dress on a hot humid day for hours and was so so comfortable walking around. No chafing and no discomfort. I thought these to be a bit expensive but if they last a while it’s worth the money.

Chub rub isn't not really talked about in Japan, probably most people here are quite slender. I used to buy a lot of glide body products whenever travelling to the US and stock up for hot humid summer in Japan. Recently I've found that Uniqlo produces shapewear that works perfectly to avoid chub rub. The price is very reasonable too, compared to other shapewear products in Japan. Maybe you can give it a try :)

I really like the Lane Bryant level 2 smoothing high rise shaper shorts. I get the size 26/28 which is a size above my normal size because I don't really want to be shaped, I just want the 'chub rub' protection and they are very nice.
I have to say I just use the longer ones from H&M in a nude colour. They are pretty cheap and work fine for me for anti-chafing purposes (they are not shapewear though).

I am def a shorts for chafing. Nothing else works! My fav are the Knix. I love them so soft and I never have issues with them moving around!
I have the spanx Assets shorts that I got from targets website and I think they would be more similar to the spanx shorts Carrie is describing. I absolutely love them!
I haven’t worn snag tights, but I used to wear body tights (thicker tights for dance) with and without sheer tights on top - both of them, I had problems with the fabric wearing away on my inner thighs. This was very heavy usage but I have strong memories of being in pain after wearing through the tights. I would be very skeptical of the snag tights for that reason.
I’m in the uk and wear Snagtights chub rub tights, this is my 3rd summer wearing them and they’re great 😊

i have the full pantihose from Snag & I LOVE THEM. I'm 5'10" & 220lb & the size E fit like a dream & I never have to adjust them which has never happened seeing as my legs are so long

I always wear bike shorts under my skirts, especially mini skirts. I find that the best shorts are the ones with pockets since most skirts don't have pockets. its been so convenient for me to just put my phone in my shorts pocket whenever I'm wearing a miniskirt that doesnt have pockets. literally life-changing. all shorts should have pockets

In my experience, when slip shorts are a bit tight on my thighs, not even to a point where they are uncomfortable, they roll up instantly. I really dislike my Spanx shorts because of the lack of seam, so they roll up right away. So annoying :( I love my Thigh Society shorts!!

I've used the snag ones & unfortunately they 100% give me a pretty brutal tights chub rub rash after a hot day of walking around in them (I live in Queensland Australia, so pretty humid environment)
I have these biker shorts from Amazon I got years ago and they are perfect for a day at the park sweat, humidity, rain, heat and all I had no issues with chub rub while wearing them. I haven’t found anything else that works that well, I tried few of those powders and rub on products for chub rub and still got bad irritation. Imma have to see what brand they were.
Did any of them have a silicone in the waistband or leg holes to keep them up? After wearing them for a while, which are still the best?
I've learned that Spanx is my least favorite brand for shorts/shapewear. They always roll up on my legs and if I am wearing something high-waisted, they always roll down. I tend to like wearing the 6" Lululemon Wunder Train or Align shorts for anti-chafing. For shapewear + anti-chafing, I prefer Honey Love. I'll have to try Thigh Society and Snag!
The skims shorts ride up constantly on me, almost impossible to use. Sizing up might help but they don't feel too small they just roll like crazy.

I just got some by Yummie but they look super tiny. Haven't tried on yet. Got them because they have a silicone strip on legs. Everything rolls up on my chunky legs!

This is a little different but for anybody wanting running/hiking/workout shorts: REI 5” swiftland shorts are great. They don’t get ate up by my thighs during workouts and hikes 😊

I always wear shorts under my dresses and skirts as well. They prevent rubbing and are so comfortable for me that I feel naked without them.
I've been watching all your bike shorts/ anti chafing short videos cause I want to start wearing more dresses, and I realized THE reason I don't wear them is the thigh chafing.
No other reason and I thought to myself, that's so tragic, I'm sure I can find some good shorts recommendations online, and I found you and your videos! You're a real one for these resources and I'd love to see more from as many brands as you can get your hands on because so many shorts are just... Too short! They don't protect my thighs at all and I feel like I can't move freely without feeling both the pain of chafing and the self consciousness of shorts the ride up to the point they look like underwear. I feel like I don't hear girls talk about this at all, and I felt like I was just a weirdo for "not liking shorts or dresses" but what I don't like is my big ole thighs burning each other raw when I'm trying to have a good time in the summer 😂

Gold bond powder really helps it heal. Dries the skin and it’s medicated, so it soothes and helps the skin recover. I never travel without it. It will usually heal overnight.

The Knix ones are tight in the thigh hem for me too. I do have pretty chunky legs though, so I assumed that was why. Maybe it is actually intentional. That aside, I really like them.
All of these shorts and most active wear are synthetic materials. I feel like they make me sweat more. I always wear stretch cotton bike shorts but they can be quite thick.
