    Really nice job. You should sell a kit. I would buy it for sure.

    • @ChuckHolt

      I’ve thought about it, since I finished this one I have already thought about how I could definitely improve it, my wife has the same trail bike and I am going to street legal it too, I am going to use smaller gauge wire everywhere but the headlight feed, and DTM connectors, also probably go to a solid state micro relay, this would cut it down to gaining only about a pound or less.

I was wondering where you're from then saw the license plate. I'm a travel nurse working in Morton, Wa but next Sunday is my last day and I head home to AZ. The ability to make a dirtbike street legal depends entirely on location. Some places strictly forbid it, regardless of modifications. Many of these places use the VIN to make the determination. All dirtbikes have off-road VINs, so they are prohibited from getting a registration and plate in these locations.
    Those of you who are allowed to convert are pretty lucky.

    • @ChuckHolt
      @ChuckHolt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that is true, I am in Washington state, here it requires an inspection from a local dirt bike shop that is registered to do so, pretty easy here.

      If you convert everything over yourself and already have the title. I charge $500 to make it street legal.

    • @ChuckHolt

    get there is kits to make the change over. Wonder why Honda just doesn't go ahead and make it this/that street legal

    • @ChuckHolt
      @ChuckHolt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes there are kits, but they are universal, so the wires are way too long and have to be bunched up or shortened and resoldered, the blinkers are the goofy cheap lollipop style that will garunteed break off in the woods, and the headlights are usually non led and doesn’t match. That’s why I pieced it all together the way I wanted it. Honda made this bike in offroad trim because that’s how 90% of riders will use it and they don’t want the extra weight and extra EPA garbage on it, this way Honda can sell it for cheaper and since most of the consumers don’t care about it being a street legal bike then it works out for both.
