The floor trim with 2 nails under the mirror and 2 inches out and nestled in my road side tire was not approved by the cops, they showed up while Dad was sleeping and said to take it down, but was able to get them to write a report for the other day that some speeding driver smashed my rearview window. Give it two weeks he said.
I also went to Aldi's to get some fruit and chocolate after my zoom classes and before the cops showed up, but also shows me removing and replacing the booby trap. Seemed like a good idea at time, and still does, but speed sensor vote by community at town hall needed, park within 18 inches of curb, and get groceries out before parking as door won't open against the raised curb. Also, little kids are allowed to get close to your vehicle and not monitored by their parents so that you should expect little toddlers and elementary school students to walk into your rearview mirror at any time.
