I was disappointed at first that you where not making a book. I just love the wall hanging. Every video I have have watched Marion, I will say at some point that I have my doubts about something you have decided. Now I will say to myself “ hold on” she will surprise you. You amaze me every time. You have a fabulous talent Marion…..
Well... I said I would go with whatever won the poll... so even though I always said it was a book, I'm going to be happy for it to find a place on my wall somewhere.

Hi Marion, your birds are looking beautiful against the blue hues. The plants are confused here as well, primroses in the snow! and late spring blooms opening already. They are in for a shock as we have 100mph winds forecast for tonight😬. Very much looking forward to your knitting demo. I love Marie Wallin's knitting patterns, the muted and earthy colours remind me of Scotland. So lovely. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to give one a try. I have a beautiful colour work scarf just waiting to go. It only uses two colours, but they are both variegated so it looks a lot more complicated than it hopefully is and it uses felted tweed wool , which I love. I'm a really slow knitter , so it will be ready for next winter😂 xx
I think a natural long branch from the garden or hedgerow would make a gorgeous natural hanger for the bird hanging x

I do love it and I have one more bird to do as I changed what I was going to add to the middle of the top row. It should be coming within the next couple of weeks I think. Then I just need somewhere for it to hang up!

It’s hard to believe that you have signs of life and it looks like life and spring is starting there!!!! Here we have feet and feet of snow. Spring won’t come until April and May altho we grow in light daily. Sigh. Your birds are marvelous. So beautiful
The snow we had is gone now..although we were forecast to have more. So it's too soon to say whether it's finished yet. I hope you're keeping warm!

I think we all used to learn at about that age in those days. My Grandma knit but my Mam didn't. I always saw her with her crochet hook or on the sewing machine.

Hi Marion. Two things I'd like to mention - 1. really looking forward to the 'no strand' knitting tutorial and 2. how about a nice lichen-y branch for the bird wall hanging. You know, fabric loops onto the branch and the branch onto the wall. Love your channel!!

Your imagination when tackling projects never fails to amaze me ! I haven’t been too well this last day or two and have spent quite a bit of time lying on the bed rewatching some of your earlier videos, mid summers day, no churn ice cream and napkin bunting to name a few. Thank you Marion for your video. Seeing all the birds together is amazing and beautiful. I love that blue and sets them off just right. It will be interesting to see how the purple works ,I think being the same tone is the way to go, a stark contrast will not look so good. I love a winter knit project and on the last bit of mine ,just coming up to join all the neck edges and knit the polo neck. Fair isle puts me off due to stranding so I look forward to seeing your video. Lovely to pop into the garden ,the sight of snowdrops always makes me smile and promises that spring is on its way. As for the tree, well who'd have thunk it ,loo roll ! Blue Peter eat your heart out 😂😂

The birds in your wall hanging are stunning! My favourite is the thrush, but I love them all. The colours match beautifully and when you’ve quilted it as well, it will look amazing, I’m sure. I’m keen to have a go at a bird embroidery/appliqué. I have all the materials and just need the time. Thank you for sharing your crafts.

As a quilter, your bird quilt will absolutely beautiful. Inspires me to do more embroidery work again. My first piece I made at about 10 years old. Can’t wait to watch your knitting video as well. Since we have so much snow in my garden, my snow drops will not make an appearance for awhile! Take care and looking forward to the next video.😊

I should know by now not o be surprised with what you are doing next!! The birds gathered together on the wall hanging look wonderful. The painted background worked out to be just right. The tree is coming along and has the look of an ancient tree covered with lichens. Then you go and mention it's made of toilet paper and goodness knows what else!!😂 The knitting will be interesting to watch but beyond my capabilities.🤫🤔Well done Marian, another lovely video.

Your work is amazing Marion. I am a hand quilter and slow stitcher , but I really enjoy watching you embroider along with your other talents. I must mention that on your studio tour you showed us a metal box with Shakespeare characters and I have one exactly the same. Often wondered how old it is having inherited it from my mum who got it from my great aunt. My family came from Yorkshire and I emigrated from Whitley Bay to B.C., over 40 years ago. Still miss the North east. Best wishes ❤
The tin is from the 1930's Pamela. It would have had Rowntree Pastilles in when it was new. I don't think they are that common anymore. Mine came from my Grandma and since I got it I've always kept my watercolour brushes inside.

your birds are absolutely beautiful! you are so creative, each project you've shown amazes me. I wish I would have learned young, I'm just trying my hand at it now. your garden would be so fun to explore. I live in the pacific northwest in USA and we are still buried in 2 1/2feet of snow with more to come before it's over I'm sure! We don't look for spring before the first of April. I too have started knitting again although I'm not the best knitter it has to be said so the pattern is just stocking stitch but the yarn is an Alpaca wool and silk mjx so it feels really lovely. Thanks Kathryn. You should have seen the pile of fabric I had out whilst trying to find something that would work! 😊 I don't have much plain fabric other than sheets and tablecloths as most of it is thrifted clothing or fabric I've bought for dresses.
I've been wanting to start that cardigan for ages... I knew I'd make a video when I did because I think there are things I do that are a bit different. Hopefully there's some good tips 🤞
