Looks great! I like to go 350 about 20-25 min skin side up and then 10 min or more skin side down until up to temp to render more fat under the skin and crisp up the skin side more. Cheers!
I was thinking of doing top side down to finish. I probably should have since it would’ve added a bit more flavor. These were still awesome. Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!
Thank you! I’ve been playing around a lot with the WSM and direct heat. So good! Got another direct heat video coming out Thursday. Chuck roast cooked with direct heat. Good stuff!! Thanks for stopping by!
I just watched your chicken grilling on WSM and will try soon. But I just wanted to tell you that any type of grilling that I copied you including seafood came out great. That you for your great videos ❤
Want to look good, especially with your friends and neighbors. Buy an Aluminum water heater overflow pan big enough to hold your cooking grill grate and plug up the side hole with some PVC plumbing . Now your are ready to go. When you are done cooking on the grate and its cooled down. Place the overflow pan next to your kitchen sink and put your grate in it. Add warm water and until the grate is covered then add some Dawn and let it sit over night. The next day, use a stainless steal scrubber to quickly clean your grate on both sides. It will look brand new. All your guests will appreciate it. By the way, their is no such thing as seasoning a chrome grate, that only works with cast Iron and even it needs scrubbing.
This direct heat method, it’s going to be around an hour +/- 15 minutes or so. Depending on size of bird and temp the grill gets up to. Hope this helps!
Those birds look really good, direct heat is the way!
Thank you! I definitely think direct heat is the way to go for chicken. Absolutely love it.
Well done.
Thank you, much! Cheers!

Chicken necks, hearts and gizzards let's go!!!!
I’ve never cooked those! I know some people love them and some don’t. lol
Do the coals need to ashed over all the way? Before placing the meat on.
No, just want to make sure they’re lit and you have an even temp. That’s at least how I do it. Partially ashes over is fine.
