- Having the faith to start is one thing, but having the faith to stay and stick it out is another. We live in a culture that celebrates starting, but throughout the Bible, it’s evident that God rewards those that have the faith to finish.
From Acts 27 verse 13-44, Pastor Steven preaches about the importance of having staying power in the storm. God promised us He would never leave us or forsake us, so rather than jumping to other things to try to alleviate our pain, we’re instructed to stay faithful to Him in seasons of struggle.
Most of us have probably viewed doubt as something that prevents faith, but with this perspective shifting message, you’ll learn to see doubt as fuel for your faith. And today, we all need faith to stay encouraged… to stay optimistic… to stay patiently expectant even through disappointment.
It’s not what you go through that determines where you end up, it’s who you listen to. So as you listen to the voice of God through this sermon, we pray you’ll find staying power through whatever storm you may be weathering.

I broke down watching this sermon. It's been a long waiting season so i prayed for a breakthrough today. It was my birthday and i knew only God had what I deeply desired. I came to church today expecting God to split the sea and to tell me that I don't have to cry anymore. This was so painful to listen to. Even through the tears I had the unexplainable faith to say, 'it hurts, I want to jump ship but I trust You so I'll stay because You say so.' A few minutes later, after the tears and the screams, I had this perfect peace. I'll have to stay in this season for a little while longer, I'm terrified but He's with me, He walks with me, He comforts me, He's my strength. I will get through this.

My fiance and I ended up getting sick with COVID-19, and it was very hard. I almost died, but I'm still here, and Lord knows we're grateful. :')
He couldn't work for almost a month, and he finally goes back tomorrow, but it's been really tough. Our families make sure we have meat and rice, but I'm trying so hard not to fall apart thinking about how we're going to pay rent. Right now we're in those stormy moments, but we're trusting God. My heart needed this message, it was no coincidence! 😭💕 I know everything will be okay, if we got through that virus together, I know we'll get through this storm too. We'll stay praising! 😭😭😭💕🔥🔥🔥🔥

We go from glory to glory but we don’t know how exactly we’ll get there
I have an appointment but we get disappointed by people just because people disappoint you doesn’t mean you should be disappointed with God (because he knows what’s best)
When my heart is breaking it’s important to abide in God’s love so I can experience his presence
I can’t control somethings
Don’t create a second storm because of your decisions
Don’t run to something because you’re lonely
I’d rather go through a hard time than stay at the wrong place my whole life
Stay in faith, it takes faith to stay
If you stay you will be saved
To stay optimistic when the world is pessimistic

I Lost my daughter and I still praise God because to God be the glory, I will get a blessing out of it. Everyday I wake up I am truly blessed. So to anyone reading this. Hold on to your faith. If God will safe someone like me and give me a whole new walk and talk. He will be there for anyone. I love my God and to God be the glory.
Until I started reading the comments this morning, I was very lonely, misunderstood, and unloved. I too lost my daughter and that's how I found my way back to Jesus. I am blessed everyday with the love of my daughter's 2 little boys. I use to take life for granted. Now, I cherish every moment that God allows me to live. Thank you God, for your mercy and grace. Thou I don't deserve it, you give it to me anyway.

Have you ever heard of DBT? It's a therapy program that can help with your rage episodes. I went through the program before finding God and have found some similarities from what I've learned in faith and in the program. I believe God uses therapy sometimes to help us to. I mention it in hopes of helping. Good luck to you
This sermon speaks to me. Loneliness!!!! I am on a cruise ship and we have been stuck here for over 70 days not sure when I will eventually make it home. The one thing that spoke to me the most, don’t run to something because of loneliness that will compromise your character🙏🏻.

Thank you for this message. It spoke to me because it reaffirmed something that I already knew, but didn't want to admit. The 2nd storm, or the consequences of this wrong relationship, would undoubtedly be much worse than the initial storm that I was escaping. Praise God!

I really needed this one. my son is diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder with severe intellectual disability. He is my first child. i didn't know when I was pregnant. my husband left me after my son's diagnosis. for the last few months, I lost my relationship with God due to anger. I felt so defeated and cheated when all my friends gave birth to a healthy child .now I don't know how to live this life without god. This line literally got me "Quit trying to escape the stuff God is using to change you." I had suicidal thoughts for so many months(not anymore). I was surviving just for my child. now I am starting to see hope. Yes, the path is going to be totally different from what I intended and life is not great. I think I should learn to be okay with that. I learnt sadness is never going to go away. I badly needed this video. Really Thanks

Hearing this message for the second time, I realised that when in Acts 8: 4, the church was scattered, they preached the Word wherever they went. God is changing evil in good. Pastor Steven why is it people laugh at me when I tell them that if my house and everything was taken from me (which it won’t be because he will always take care of me) that I really believe that he would rain manna from Heaven or send birds of the air to feed me I really believe it in my heart is that dumb but I believe he loves me that much. I listen to you this morning because I couldn’t sleep after I woke up 3 hours later and fighting the desire not to smoke and I still went out after and brought a pack ! I got blown off course by the nicotine addiction! But I’m not giving up I felt like I was in a storm I couldn’t control the desire but I haven’t drank ! I just smoke cigarettes and I felt overwhelmed! Im feeling the loneliness

This message reminded me of the song "Burn the Ships" by King and Country. I originally didn't even know that song was about addiction. This sermon reminded me to stay focused on being sober and stay focused on my recovery road. There have been a lot of storms I have been in based on my choices but there have also been even greater routes and ways that God has shielded and protected me through them as well. It has been a year in August since I've had alcohol, 2 weeks from sexual addictions, and 3 weeks since smoking weed. I used to think it was helping me but really what I needed was to have a solid foundation and come back to Christ. Last year, I prayed for the chains of addiction to be broken over my life and felt cool waters rush through me, and still today I am praying that I continue to break through this and make it. So even though I have had some shortcomings, God is still here with me in breaking traumas and forming me into the daughter He created me to be. I am going to come out of this different then I expected or wished for and I"m going to stay where I am currently and continue to persevere.
"You've been battling depression by drinking" (That's a paraphrase.) Steven Furtick. No I don't drink, but I totally, totally get how I can be hit by a circumstance at work that may seem unfair or uncalled for and react in a way that is unhealthy. I might just do about it, I might just eat things that I shouldn't, or I might just lash out in a way that's not healthy. This sermon is reminding me how it is important how to respond to storms in a Godly manner and not react out of my own emotion. 😖/✝️👏🏾🙌🏾

I watch from the gym, from home when I clean or just on Sunday worship. When down, when happy and everything in between. This man pastor Steven in God's gift to us and I hope everyone does STAY. This message spoke to me in a lot of ways and I never knew I needed to hear this until God deliver it through Pastor Steven. With the situation we have now here in Qatar, a lot of expats are having their own storms... some doesn't even have work for 2 months now and has no salaries. I see a lot if people in social media groups asking for food because they don't have money for it and some are even sent back to their countries without even a final payment. Some of my co workers are having second thoughts whether they will stay also or they will go back home because we don't know what will happen next. 43,000+ are infected with the virus and no lockdown has been announced. We often ask if it's still practical to stay. That what's in it for them if they stay. But something in me keeps on being stubborn, saying this too shall pass. And I realized how blessed we are, my colleagues and I, because we have free roofs above our head and we have food on our table. Compare to others we are in better situations. And as I listen to the sermon, I realized with the way our thoughts run, we are creating a second storm by letting worry clouds our decisions. I'm sharing this to my friends and colleagues because I want them to realize a lot of things about their decisions, not just to make them stay where we are now but also so they can strenghten their faith. To not let fear covers their hope.
I also pray to the Father that He may bless and help those who are in need right now, those who are in tight situations with their finances. May he shine His light to people who are losing their faith ❤🙏
