Let's Make a Box of Cards! Fun Gift Idea!

- Tonight, I showed you how to create a box of cards using patterned paper, card stock and ephemera! This project is very easy to make and it's the perfect little housewarming gift for the holiday season and beyond. This is also a great way to use up some of that patterned paper and those focal images elements that are just waiting to be added to some quick cards.

Here are the additional measurements for the panels and strips:
Start with a piece of card stock that measures 8 1/4" X 11
2 Large Patterned Paper Panels- 4 3/8" X 5 5/8"
2 Large Black Panels- 4 1/2" X 5 3/4"
2 Patterned Paper Strips- 1/2" X 5 5/8"
2 Black Strips- 5/8" X 5 3/4"

I like that the box closes in its own. No belly bands, snaps, velcro, magnets, or ribbons needed to keep it closed. Very nice design!

I’m watching the replay, and had to laugh when Gina checked to see if she had her card right-side up. One of my Thanksgiving cards was wrong-side up; fortunately I caught it before I did the inside. So, yes, Gina, we all do it (even when we’re trying to be careful)!

Gina - doing classes all ovr the country? WOTABOUT THE WORLD! Come on over and throw a shrimp on the barbie here in OZ! (well .. tbh we don't do that, prawns are too expensive for that maltreatment ... but we don't do too badly for entertaining and catering!)
Gina - when all the cards have been used, I reckon the box lends itself beautifully to make a box of "memory cards". Such as .. I am thinking of making a box that will also take memory cards for me to leave, with each card or page inside a memory I'd like to share with the recipient. E.g. my children; each page highlighting a particularly favourite memory or event I'd like them to know I value the memory of.
I always find it so interesting that post making cards, putting a stamp on to mail and everyone I send them to make a lot more $$ than I do and they can't bother to send a card in return.

Thank you do much for the great box instructions! It came at a great time for me. Every year I give about 10 cards and envelopes as Christmas gifts to around 15 people. I always make some type of holder for these cards. I think your box is the nicest and most professional of the ones I’ve tried! I will need to get larger card stock since I make envelopes that are slightly larger than the standard size.
Ten cards plus their envelopes do fit in this box.

I've already joined the group, but can't find the file link.
I did one better. Finished a right side opening card and put the front panel on upside down on the back of the card. The inside of the card was completely finished with sentiment and decorations so I removed the front panel from the back (with damage), attached a second blank to the first card and applied the front correctly. Super sturdy card. Lol
