    I've thought that even beyond just seeing the ball, batting from the opposite side, when you've been struggling, could help get you back into your good mechanics when you go back to your normal side, puts you back into your comfort zone.

      Ultimate Baseball Training ya keeping your head down is key. It’s the same with tennis. By Imagining where you want to place the ball, the good contact will put it there

    For the last 30 years I've hammered these tactics of watching the ball into all kids I have coached so closely that (right handed batters) when swinging your eyes head nose is straight to point of contact and your head never moves from that position except when the Right shoulder from the swing pushes your head (eyes nose) off of the point of contact. Golf is the same way. The ball is just stationary. It's the exact same thing with a moving ball. The best hitters are masters of both eyes on the ball.

    I like ideas. I hit off a Solohitter and I'll think put a ball on the ground right beneath it to keep my visual focus right there. All to often my focus leaks.
    63 and have been playing/catching adult baseball for over 30 years and still learning. Hitting along with every position is an art to master; Every year.
    Thanks coach.

    Hey coach, when you have to throw out a runner do you have to throw a 4 seam fastball everytime? If you do how can you get the ball out in a 4 seam grip in time to throw the runner out.

    • @redwingsfan1136
      @redwingsfan1136 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was wondering the same thing

    • @tydaltonmusic
      @tydaltonmusic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hold the ball as if it were a four seam fastball but I don’t take the time to find the laces. If you have time that’s great, but usually you just have to get rid of the ball quick.

    What's a good tip for stepping back instead of straight forward when swinging?

    • @dan776
      @dan776 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to learn to balance through the hip. The back foot is only the kickstand is I call it. Practice just balancing on which ever leg is your rear leg when batting and be sure to force yourself to stand up straight

    The phrase “it's just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you've lost twice. There's always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle.
