Awesome match Jamie, from a unfancied peg you nearly pulled it off. Love how and why you keep changing hook sizes, feeders and bait explaining as you go along. Brilliant stuff.
Leam and soil........blimey I've gone back to my grand dad days also... When those bits started being involved I got away from the match scene.... then it was a case of joker and Bloodworm being the event... got away from that shite.....Then the Pole crew appeared... then was the time to just get the fuck out of it all
Brilliant video Jamie love the live matches. Great bit of fishing that and patiently sticking to one line. Very interesting and informative commentary throughout the match too.
Well done Jamie, a good result your attitude, ringing the changes and patience really worked. I look forward yo seeing more of the same . tutorials are fine but live match is the way forward in my book
Brilliant video Jamie. I love to see all the changes that make a difference. Keep up the great work I look forward to the videos qhen the icon comes up.
Really enjoyed that Jamie. A nice balance of commentary and action. Really interesting hearing your thought processes as the match progressed. Great result too after such a slow start.
Well done Jamie, really enjoyed that !Two more skimmers would of done you for a win . Your video proves its right to make little changes to get bites rather than just sit there and do nothing.
Proves that you should never give up. They may be not there for awhile but when they do arrive you can turn it around pretty quickly. You played a blinder there, Jamie. Well done, mate. Looking forward to your next one. 👍😉😆
Well done Jamie, good result on what seemed a hard day & you managed to ring the changes, good to see these - helps me with my matches that start soon. looking forward to some pole matches tho, many thanks
Nice one Jamie, really interesting and useful for us to hear your thinking as you work your way through the match. I’m from the area and will be fishing the Don on the Rotherham book this year, looking forward to it.
Well done Jamie you mixed the changes up well and got it right but it was a bit strange that you got more bights with the longer hook length mate unless the fish was just backing off the feeder pal
@@CatchFishingChannel thats the only thing i can think of mate it looks a nice venue for some bream fishing i will have to check it out and wet a line there i am getting sick of fishing the same venues all the time i need a change and would be good to get back on the river thanks for your videos jamie and i hope that your Dad is doing well mate
Well done Jamie lad on your second place.Thought you fished an excellent, disciplined well thought match throughout and thought you was going to win at the death.Realy enjoyed vid and thought the weights but very good considering time of year and didn't realise the lower don was that good a match stretch. Good luck in next matches pal and look forward to watching next video. Cheers.
@@CatchFishingChannel used to fish for the barbel below the weir but haven't been in a few years even had a 8 1/2lb barbel on the pole fishing hemp for the roach thought I'd hooked the bottom til it moved upstream lol
Well done Jamie nice to see 👀a few fish 🐟being caught and all in simple tactics would like to see you in an open at lindholme on any of the lakes but bennies would be interesting🎣🎣🎣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍
Missed the live matches. Hopefully more to come in 2022?? Could someone please let me know the details of the landing net handles that Jamie uses? Guessing they Matrix? Thanks
Yes there are more to come and I use the Horizon landing net handle here's the link www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/horizon-x-class-landing-net-handles?c=nets-handles
Hi Jamie Great result buddy Took a while to sort, but you got there Good to watch the changes as you went through the match, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Take care, stay safe, regards to Dad and T, and keep it lit 👍 my friend.
Hi Jamie, we are not allowed to fish with red maggots here in the Netherlands. But do you have the feeling that you catch better with that than white maggots?
Oh yes I know Jan but I'm not sure it makes a difference, we use them a lot here so now we have just got a lot of confidence in them but I'm not sure it makes much difference if that makes sense mate :)
From my view , i thought it as rubbish. You on the other hand... got out as to where the camera showed and without any presure. sat on the box for at the very most for 15 seconds. Yet... the postivity from the tv shit
Hi Jamie! How many cameras do you bring to film yourself for 5h? How do you manage them during the fishing as i dont think they last 5h straight? Thanks a lot :)
I carry 3 GoPros and 5 batteries in total and just swap the batteries when they need changing so it depends how much filming I do. I also use a GoPro remote which can switch them on only when needed mate :)
Definitely more lives and do you prefer to fish a swim like today wear you just concentrate on your fishing or wear you can see whats happening around you
Great videos Jamie. Been away from match fishing for 15 years or so. Always loved feeder fishing for bream and considered myself to be pretty reasonable at it. Your videos are starting to rekindle the fire. Shame there isn’t a feeder masters at Nicols pit this year, otherwise I’d have tried my luck. Don’t really like Monks, so maybe next time. Keep it up.👍 P.s. Love that your Dad still gets involved. Great to see.

Awesome match Jamie, from a unfancied peg you nearly pulled it off.
Love how and why you keep changing hook sizes, feeders and bait explaining as you go along.
Brilliant stuff.
Great to watch as someone who has no interest in competing in fishing, but who appreciates your watercraft.
Oh thanks Iain mate!
Really enjoy all your videos. Great to see the live matches and I actually like seeing how you tackle the harder days.
Really good Jamie, the flow of the video takes you into the match.
It’s great news your back recording live matches really enjoyed your approach and well done second is a brilliant result.
Thanks Stephen!
Well done Jamie somebody gave you wrong information about the bangin it's police shooting range in old quarry keep on catching

It was a bit relentless that day wasn't it!

Well done Jamie another great video with a good result . Keep it up .
great angling Jamie. Loved the different tactics and good to see you stick to your tactics. Being impatient has killed some fishing days for me.
Thanks Rick!
I can remember as a kid on the 60s that river would run three different colours in a day depending on the dye,s used further up.
Great video.. well done mate... top angling that was ..

Very informative, thanks
Well done mate, good old walk you had to you peg there 👍
Thanks Keith yes it certainly got the blood pumping! Haha
Well done...never give up.... Lost count how many matches l have won on the last 10 mins.
Well worked out, good angling
Thanks 👍
I'm not a match fisherman but that was great. Thank you.
Patience and tactics.
Well done on a second place and I'd take ear plugs next time😁
Hi liked the match vidio good 2nd lernt a few things keep filming enjoy the banter thight line enjoy
Thanks David mate!
Well done Jamie you mixed the changes up well and got it right but it was a bit strange that you got more bights with the longer hook length mate unless the fish was just backing off the feeder pal

Longer hooklength would have given less movement of hookbait with the slow flow
Well fished Jamie

nice clean bottom, love it
Could you use braid Jamie in that swim and just watching video now excellent as usual mate
Yes Shaun some anglers prefer to use braid on that stretch.

Thank you for the reply. Much appreciated.
Question Jamie, did you pay out a bow or fish direct?
Only a small bow mate, there was little flow.
@@CatchFishingChannel thanks for replying.
could be the police shooting ranges opposite you behind those trees you can hear Jamie
When you use your sticks do you go figure of 8 or just straight around ? Tight lines.
Just straight round David :)
Well done Jamie never fished the don is the stretch you was on a day ticket stretch ? I see you put a link on about the club but I don’t use Facebook
Yes it's day ticket mate just get a peg and fish the bailiff comes round 👍

I prefer using reds on the hook but I think that's more a confidence thing. I feel I catch more using reds but other feel whites work better.
After all, a competition, Jamie, did you use a thermos as a support for the rod?
Hahaha YES I DID mate! :):):)
@@CatchFishingChannel It's so unprofessional but practical😅
That's sounds like military doing training tomany fast burst explosions for a quarry
Nice bit of slabbing👍
Noticed you are using the XR36 pro in this one mate is that for stability in the river?
No that's the only box I use now for everything. The XR36 COMP is really sturdy though mate.
@@CatchFishingChannel any reason for the change I know you use to use the comp?
Getting liners cast short just a bit
I know ... a year on.

12 inch hook lenght and fish the middle

Can you fish this stretch on a day ticket?
Yes it's day ticket, bailiff comes round on the bank for ticket money Jay :)
