I love the closure because you can chunk up your planner or have it slim and compact with the same cover. I ordered mine and am waiting on it to arrive (: This time I ordered it in agave with fieno accent pockets and requested the strap to be extended because I do plan on chunking up my planner with stickers and tip ins . Thanks for your review and up close look at your cover .
This company is excellent and everything I bought from them is great. They always include some little extra gift and it comes well wrapped and in good condition. Thanks for sharing. Well worth the wait.
Glad you go one of her covers. I love mine. I love the light tobacco. I knew when I ordered (I guess it’s been a couple years now) that that’s what I would get. It’s so classic. I’ve never had issues with marking or staining and it hasn’t patina’d like other covers I have in a lighter color. I have the pocket on mine and really like it. I has back and front pocket like this on my planners. Not a fan of the full back pockets personally.
Thanks so much for sharing! I could hardly wait to see what you purchased from Tanya. I have several of her covers and love the Light Tobacco leather. When I decided to go with a Hobonichi Weeks, I had to have that size in Light Tobacco as well! Mine should be shipping soon...same clasp and right pocket configuration, but I chose the one card slot option for the left side.
Beautiful cover! I think the way she crafts the edges of her covers is magic! I don't like bulky leather covers and the slim edges are just perfect. Also, she has been very great to work with over the years for me because like you, I don't like to wait and even when her shop is closed I have messaged her to see if she has a particular size/leather ready to ship and she usually did and was always happy to send it out to me quickly. Excellent shop!
Wow that’s a beautiful cover! I’ve never heard of this company. When I get off of my spending freeze, I definitely want to order from them. Thanks for sharing your unboxing. ~Jen
I have a few different covers from HSLT and love them all . I also have the pen roll in this same light tobacco color as your cover that I absolutely love !
South Shore Paper, I recently purchased a beautiful leather vintage pen/pencil roll from CheRollBag in Ukraine with free personalization. It is beautiful.
Looks perfect with your blue weeks! What an excellent choice. I agree about the Hobonichi CoC. I have one HSLT in b6 in the same tobacco leather and I love the feel of the leather. I just don't use b6 anymore.
Beautiful cover Sam! I have a few of Tanya’s tobacco covers. Just recently placed an order for a Tan Latigo cover (Weeks with belt closure) an super excited for that one too. 🤎
I love their products, I have had a few different styles, BUT not this one 😉, I really like the belt closure, totally new to me. I am worried about snap button closures wearing out and then what do you do? Thank you for such a thorough walk through, I'm heading to their site now 😆
@@lkessler1 I have one from Moterm, and it barely stays in its place, I have a brand new weeks in it, in other words not chunky yet. I know Moterm is a cheap brand obviously, but the snap button shouldn’t falter so quickly no matter how cheap it is… I think 🤔 I have other brands with no issues at all as well though ☺️
Do you know the color of the cover you ordered? Light tobacco, buff? I sot of would love to seethe raspberry. For home spending, utility, insurance spending.
HELP SAM! I’m trying to reach you privately with a couple of questions but for the life of me I can’t find any contact info. How can I reach you? Thanks, Sheri Chandler
@@samplans Hi Sam. Hope you are well. Thanks for answering me so quickly. I have been watching your videos and really enjoying them. They are a wealth of information. One of the first videos I watched was the unboxing of the light tobacco H mega weeks with the strap closure. That is probably the one I would choose. Then I saw another very very light colored one on the pictures that you scroll thru. It isn’t the one on the color chart but I don’t know what it is. Would you happen to know? I have been doing the whole journal/planning thing for about 18 months. For years I made scrapbooks using creative memories. They were so much more fun than the old plain albums with just the photographs. After my kids were grown, I moved on to quilting for the past 17 yrs or so. Everyone in the family and some friends and new babies at church have at least one or more. Years ago, I took a calligraphy class and loved it. I don’t know why I stopped. I adore fountain pens and started collecting them. My first pricey one came from Italy and I love it. I’ve acquired about 20 in the past year and a half. Then of course I found Chic Sparrow and fell down the rabbit hole….you know how that is I’m sure. (I also love bags like you do). I currently have an A5 brown from ApplePig in Taiwan, a passport size from Chic Sparrow, a dove gray in a wide (I decorated an insert to match the gray and use it for SS and I have a black hard cover book to take sermon notes, write prayers , etc. I bought a gorgeous dark turquoise A5 with the brand of my birth year on it from a woman in England. The last one I purchased was an A5 Scout from Chic Sparrow. I love it !!!! Oh yeah, I follow Planner perfect too and I have used one of her 12 month planners in one of my other journals. Recently, I’ve been looking at Bullet journals but I don’t really “get the whole process”. I think my brain doesn’t work that way, nor does it work like Jenny Penton with Planner Perfect. Her art and leathers I like, but something about her and her system makes the hairs on my neck stand up. And can you compare the Midori TN to the Leuchtrim (can’t remember how to spell it) with the others? To get to my real point, I wanted to know a little more about Hobonichi. I thought about getting the cousin to fit my A5s then saw some of the other sizes. The B6 is a lot smaller than I’m used to but I think I would like an everyday carry for my purse. Can you explain if you notice a big difference between the weeks and the MEGA weeks? I know I don’t want the “no days” I think they are called. I’m not a big journaler, and most of my entries turn into prayers. I do like to decorate but if I decorate heavily, I will never get around to calligraphy OR quilting. Previously, I had been laminating some of my favorite pictures of my granddaughters and maybe framing them with scrapbook paper or washi to match the colors they are wearing, placing them in my paper inserts and journaling about the pictures, activities, etc. The problem with that was it really beefed up my inserts and filled them quickly. BUT I wanted to be able to look at those pictures so I would take them out of the insert and place most of them in the next insert. I’m planning to buy one of those tiny printers to help that situation I hope. I hope this made sense and you can give me some advice. Mega much better than regular weeks and if so why? Where do I get those vinyl covers? I also saw a black hardback Hobonichi that I can’t remember the name of. Do you know of it? Now I am looking at Hobonichi and trying to decide which one would work for me and what I can do with my very expensive A5’s. Hope you don’t mind reading this- I didn’t mean to be so wordy. Thank you Sam, Sheri Chandler sherichandler0103@gmail.com Phone for texts 336.549.2292
I only have the one Hand Stitched Leather T cover, in light tobacco. It sounds like you’ve had some fun hobbies! As for the Weeks, choose the regular if you only see yourself planning in it, and maybe writing a few lists in the back. The only difference between the two are the many blank pages in the back of the mega. So if you plan on attempting to do more of a BUJO system, or you wanted to note prayers, you may try the mega. If not, grab a regular weeks. I’m no help I’m sorry to say as far as the Midori vs other planners, or bullet journaling otherwise. My brain doesn’t work like that either! The only black Hobo I can think of is the English Techo in A6. That one has monthly and daily, no weekly. I hope that helps!

Such a beautiful cover, Sam! Thank you for sharing!❤️❤️

I use Apple Guard leather protectant on my leather goods. Boots too. I get it on Amazon. It will help against water and dirt damage. FYI 😊
It’s gorgeous-I love the color!
I do too!
Beautiful leather cover 😊🥰
It’s a beauty for sure!!

I’ll definitely want a darker brown and a black added to my wishlist!
I've been wanting to try HSLT but haven't ordered yet. Trying to use what I have, but I LOVE the covers I see.
That’s a good thing to try! I need to have a serious no spend.

@@swede_pea I have a Moterm being delivered today. I’ve not had an issue with B6 or A5 Moterm, but this will be my first Weeks cover from them.
@@samplans I have a weeks cover with a front pocket…..absolutely the thinnest, softest leather ever ❤️. My daughter stole it! 🙄.
I love this shop, I have way too many of her covers 😂🤦♀️
I hope to say the same!
Hi! Did you mention the specific leather color you got from the shop?
Light Tabac
Do you know the color of the cover you ordered? Light tobacco, buff? I sot of would love to seethe raspberry. For home spending, utility, insurance spending.
Is this a mega or standard cover? I think I missed that part.
Mega
@@samplans thank you!! Thinking I am going to get iris to go with my quartz mini crossbody. Came in today
I have three HSLT, she does beautiful work. I would like a firmer leather but she doesn’t seem to offer that.
I guess lucky for me I prefer less firm leather. 😅 They are wonderful!
I'm sorry if I missed it but what color was this?
The light tabacco. 🤓
This is Stunning!!!
Wow!!
If you Ever decide you want to sell it - please put a sticky note in it to remind you to sell it to me!! 😏❤️
This one already found a new home, sorry!
@@samplans my loss!
thanks for getting back to me! 😊
Any chance you want to sell this now that you’re back in rings?
I’m not sure. I really love this cover! I’ll wait a bit and see if I find myself back in the Weeks at all.
