This is the very usual story of each and every Afghan person and tribe, not only of Hazara, but also the story of Pashtoons, Tajiks, Uzbiks and every other tribe dwells in Afghanistan. I am proud of Abbas Nazari as an Afghan who shared a glimpse of Afghanistan with outsiders.

MY God apart from the heartfelt real life story, that picture...that immaculate picture of the fathers land blooming with grapes and pomegranate trees and more... from owning land and a living, to the middle of the sea and a refugee....
Very inspiring story and i had my classmate in the same boat and luckily he got asylum in NZ as well . I did the same journey to come to Norway. I hope the situation will change in Afghanistan and people should live in peace .:) I miss Jaghori.
Are you still In Norway? This story caught my attention tonight in NZ because Abbas' story was on TV and I've a Norwegian friend. Praying for those stuck in Kabul now.
What an amazing speech Abbas! It's kinda a funny to think that we're both from Jaghori(Afghanistan), almost same age and left Jaghori at the same period of time but to two different continents. Well I cannot remember much of Afghanistan and never been there since unfortunately (too risky). I really wish Afghanistan will become more peaceful in the future even though I do not expect it to be honest. btw. which village/area do you come from? i'm just curious :)
He's an ethnic hazara, unfortunately they are a very despised group in afghanistan because they are supposedly descendants of GHenghis khan's soldiers when the mongols invaded afghanistan, pillaged and destroyed everything! They truly are treated terribly and are disadvantaged...
***** I think you are a little confused, Pashtuns didn't give Hazaras anything, Hazaras have been living on those lands way before Afghanistan even existed, Hazaras have a mysterious origin. Its a misconception that Hazaras are descendants of Chengiz khan, yes they look very similar to Mongols however they've been there way before Chengiz began his empire, probably way before Chengiz even existed. When Chengiz began invading Mongols mixed with the Hazaras. Sadly Hazara's have been under oppression, suppression and persecution through out history and are continuing to be so. That is why the history and origins of Hazaras are very blurry and unknown because those persecuting them have wiped out all evidence in the same efforts of trying to wipe out the people as well.
***** and to add to your comment, many places like kandahar were hazara lands, when the brutal shahs and leaders of afghanistan persecuted the hazaras, they took their lands and handed it to the pashtuns. Basically the hazaras have been forced into central afghanistan (hazarajat) with the pashtuns pushing from the south and tajiks from the north. Hazaras are native to many parts of afghanistan which is now populated by either tajiks or pashtuns.

Which is proven by bhudda statue. The fact that u cant distinguish between Bhudism and Hinduism really shows how much research youve done.

The concept of Revenge is very prominent in the Pashtun tribal culture. You must know this.

Very inspiring story and i had my classmate in the same boat and luckily he got asylum in NZ as well . I did the same journey to come to Norway. I hope the situation will change in Afghanistan and people should live in peace .:) I miss Jaghori.
