  • Every month, the series features two influential women. In October 2012, CNN introduce Donna Langley, Co-Chairman at Universal Pictures.
    As Co-Chairman of Universal Pictures, Donna Langley works alongside Chairman Adam Fogelson on all aspects of Universal's business and production strategies. She oversees feature film production for Universal and is responsible for Focus Features, Working Title and the international operations of Universal Pictures. Langley was named Co-Chairman of the studio in October 2009. In June of 2010, Women in Film honoured Langley with the Crystal Award for excellence in filmmaking. Prior, to becoming Co-Chairman, she was Universal's President of Production.
    During this time, Langley served as a driving force behind the slate of films that led to the studio's two most profitable and successful years at the global box office. Since 2005, she has overseen production for such hits as American Gangster, The Bourne Ultimatum, Knocked Up, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Wanted, Mamma Mia!, Fast & Furious, Couples Retreat and It's Complicated, to name a few.
    She joined Universal Pictures in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Production. While in this position she oversaw production for such successful and acclaimed motion pictures as United 93, Children of Men, Inside Man and The Break-Up.
    Langley began her career at New Line Cinema, where she served as Senior Vice President of Production before joining Universal. While at New Line, she worked on hits including Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. Langley is married to architect Ramin Shamshiri, and the couple has a young son.

    Chrstopher Nolan is in such good hands. Warner Bros is a mess. With amazing films like Coyote vs Acme getting shelved but the awful Tom and Jerry movie living on. They have no idea what they're doing over there. Nolan made a great call to leave
