In this instalment we have a 1985 Corgi Ford Zakspeed Capri. Though it is branded underneath as a Ford Capri 3.0s and has the same interior and even engine bay under the non-opening bonnet, any racing fan of 70’s machinery will see this is the Zakspeed variant. I hope you enjoy my little take on one of my all-time favourite circuit racers.

Came here to watch a little diecast clean up, and ended up getting a modelling education, and a tool demonstration!
The production value on your videos is absolutely fantastic. And the craftsmanship is top notch. For someone who doesn't do this, but as a secondary hobby to modelling, I dare say you have better high detail customs than some of the people who get paid to make customs.
Keep it up, and put whatever in your videos you want. I love the custom touches, and it speaks to you as an individual, and makes your channel truly unique.

Awesome job as usual and a car very dear to my heart. The golden age of motor racing when ABS hadn't been invented and race drivers had very hairy chests! This has been a bit of a nostalgia trip for me. I suspect we are of a similar age as you seem to have a lot of the same memories as myself.

Seriously.... thanks as always Pete. You've been here since the start and I thank you for the great words to keep me going. Yes we probably are similar age, I'm 43, but act like 13 according to my wife! They were a spectacle to watch and if you see some of the fellas driving them now in the historic's they sure as hell don't hold back!
If I ever won the lottery, supercar's aren't my thing, BUT, a garage full of racing and their homologated road variants I would have a plenty :)

That Capri is the dogs mate! I could see me getting into this. I use to build and customise model car kits as a teen. I converted a scalextic old Mclaren into a Williams fw07 for a mate of mine with the help of styrene. Back in those days, you couldn't get the current f1 cars.

I love the attention to detail, and you are like me when I build Gundam kits or model car kits. I have things painted and detailed that will never ever be seen, but I know the details are there and it would be "incomplete" without those details. GREAT JOB MATE

Stunning mate. My wifes great uncle was Ralf Broad who owned Broadspeed racing and he built a very similar capri to the Zakspeed

WOW I am envious.... a 280, NICE!. It was a car that again evaded me. When I had the chance many moons ago to have a 2.8 injection I went with the Sierra XR4i. I still loved it and often think it only had 150bhp. But back then with no stability, electronic gizmos, ABS and such it was a hoot! Those 14" pepperpot wheels got through some crappy tyres I can tell you LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting :) All the best

im a huge fan of the zakspeed capri and your creation is amazing, i would not have the hand-eye co-ordination to decal it, let alone construct all that interior. absoloutly amazing.
I am gonna nitpick a bit though, on the front. the two innermost circles were brake ducts. while the outer ones were headlights.
Yes correct they were. The body posts sat directly behind them so I thought it would look a little naff with those exposed😁

I just found your channel and have to say THANK YOU I enjoyed watching you be creative with this Capri , I watch some of the other guys and ones that are so boring are the ones that have to have the car 100% Original I understand with the Redline HotWheels but others it just gets frustrating because it's like that person has no imagination.

13:50 what i do in this instance is to angle the wheel arch inwards by taking out a lot of the inside of the arch, since you only need to keep the outer edge to maintain its shape.
