The temples are magnificent! My bucket list includes seeing all 7 of the man-made Great wonders of the world. This is probably as close as I will ever get, but so breath-taking. Thank you both so much for bring us along with you on what will turn out to be some of the best memories of your life!! I know at some point, now that you're home Genny, you're going to have that one tiny moment that you will feel guilty about you're channel or something along those lines...*Don't you EVER* Most of our lives we all are so busy staying alive that we forget to live. Looks cool that's a lot of climbing! For some reason I thought you were going to be riding a motorcycle on the wall. Didn't realize they had stairs thought it was a flat surface on top. Id of hated to have been one of the guards sporting armor and weapons walking back and forth on that thing.
Another charming video of your vacation. I had two riding buddies who rode sidecar hacks like those in China on the Genghis Khan Mongol invasion route. Interesting piece of trivia for you, those Chinese sidecar hacks are copies of Russian sidecars which in turn were copies of German BMW sidecars from WW2. They're currently still made in Russia under the Ural brand with few changes.

Things i find funny about the Chinese doorway thingymadoodle... 1) there are stairs right there so if a ghost can get past that small wood plank how the stairs? 2) If a ghost could only shuffle their feet, wouldnt they trip into the building with that plank there? I dont know... again Im not Chinese so I apologize in advance if I have insulted anyone
I actually do. kind... its like this small brick height step up my doorway but it doesn't come back down on the other side... Maybe so ghost can leave but not enter? Either way my grandpa still has the hardest of times getting in and out =/
Naqu It's a tradition on building all sorts of houses, even those without stairs in front of the entrance, so the doorway were made like that for the temple too.
Went to Beijing for the Olympics in '08, unfortunately we were watching the Games obviously, so we didn't get to do an incredible amount of sightseeing, visited the Great Wall and the Forbidden Palace. Don't know how air quality in the cities has gotten since, but when I was there in Beijing, the smog was pretty bad
