Something I really like about this song is that there's a place for everyone here: * Shiori has a really interesting voice to lead the song off; * Fuwawa and Mococo carry us through the main verses, their energy bringing us higher; * Bijou's softer voice lets us descend a little (not "let us down" as in disappoint, but I think you get what I mean), gently cradling us until * Shiori comes back in with her flow, which drags us up to the chorus, where everyone's voice harmonizes really well, * But then, oh my Lord, Nerissa comes in like a cannon to finish out the chorus, sending us back to the top. Nobody loses out; nobody gets lost. Everyone has a chance to bring their vocal talents to bear. I think this might be a new high-water mark for orisongs.
It was such a surprise that Hololive English Gen 3 dropped a debut song right after their 1st collab stream! Huge props to them, Hololive really went the extra mile with Advent!
I'm excited about Fuwamoco, honestly. Nerissa's an extremely strong talent, but Fuwamoco are really good at singling harmonies when paired together. You can do SO MUCH with two people who know how to bounce off each other like they do. Their debut song was really freaking impressive in that regard.
Honestly utilizing the harmony of the twins in that way was smart, having bijou take the softer parts was perfect, nerissa on the harder vocals makes her stand out in just the right way, and having shioris perfect talking voice cover the transitions is beautiful, masterfully done
I'm impressed with how well it came out as the first gen songs (in EN mainly) seem more about pushing lore than having a well harmonized song. Then again That one HoloSummer MV might have taken the "organized by some suit" bullet for this
In case you didnt know, portions of the instrumental version of this is first heard on the 30 sec promotional trailers on their channels and as well as the model teaser shorts on the Official EN Channel. When this released, I was shocked that the music for the promo trailers and model shorts are the same song.
if i may be so bold, i think Advent's *Rebellion* is the best full-gen orisong in the entire HoloEN. yes, even better than Myth's Non-Fiction and Council's Rise. Rebellion hits the right beats, the right tunes. first time i watched it it gave me chills, and im not the type to get easily blown away by Hololive gen songs. it gave me the "this is powerful song" feel but hey that's just me ok heheh
The delegation of who sang what really balanced the song out so the varied skill levels aren't too apparent. It was a super clever way to make this work so well.

Nerissa got such a strong voice that I'm impressed they managed to make it fit so well, even if she is an obvious stand out.

I agree. Nerissa is like the Suisei of EN, in that there's something in her voice that hits you like a physical force.
