I'm SO excited to see superdwarf cows!! I've wanted a cow retic for ages but the size is just too much. But now they're manageable and I can't wait to get my hands on one. Time to start saving! - Caitlin
They are stunning and such a fun morph... but that boy in the video for me it's just his personality!! He looks like he is just a sweetheart of a snake!
Great video, Jeremy! Garrett, so now if someone wants to put cow into an even smaller size it’s still two generations away and you’d likely need to hold back an entire clutch
Moving next year. But after all the moving costs are taken care of and I suddenly have more room in a house...I'm gonna be getting a SD for sure. Haven't had a snake of my own since I was a kid. Seems like all the best qualities you could get in a snake packed into one animal, and I'd be willing to spend a little more to get my dream snake and give it a high quality of care. :) Thanks for posting, excited to see new morphs in the near future!
@ I would absolutely love to talk gentics one day as I’m looking for a baby Atleast 75 percent but I do love the mainlands morphs so ide love a sire with all the morphs! I won’t be able to get one until all of my upgrades are finished going above the minimum for all of my other rescues but I would LOVVEEE a gorgeous little male from you guys. I’ve reached out to the curly haired keeper and she told me she works with you!!
I learned a long time ago that it wasn’t smart for me to question Kevin’s knowledge regarding BP & Retic genetics. Lol! And his monitor lizard knowledge……next level. However, I can understand why you doubted it because you have so much more knowledge than I do. Aren’t you glad you were wrong?!!😊😊I wish I could have a SD but sadly, I live in ridiculous Florida 😡
I got a goldenchild cow from NERD over two years ago. I feel like she has something else in her just because for the last year her growth has completely plateaued. She’s 6-7 feet long and her weight has been the same for over a year. She’s on F/T medium rats. In general it seems like the COW gene snakes are smaller but obviously some of the breeder females are some tanks. Never seen a 15-20 foot cow though
@ I can’t help ya there, dunno the bloodlines… but ours are on sale this month, and we ship anywhere the snakes are allowed to be kept if you want a Reach Out Reptiles Superdwarf. ;)
@@TheEuphonium412 hang in there, there are many snakes which I have bought for 25 and $30,000 which can now be had for $1500. You’ll get there, and for a lot less than it cost me.
I keep insisting that Clown in ball pythons is an Incomplete Dominant trait. I can spot a het from a mile away unless it's mixed in with 6 other morphs (and sometimes even then).
I get you guys are a business and there is a ton of demand (that you’re actively increasing with this video but…) so you can get away with charging outrageous prices for these animals, but as someone who wants a cow more than anything, it’s really frustrating when you guys make videos like this without mentioning that the vast majority of the people watching this will never be able to afford these animals. I’ve completely abandoned any hope of being able to afford a 5 figure animal when I’m not going to breed it, and that’s the situation the vast vast majority of keepers are in. But because you have a handful of whales and rich morons willing to pay your insane prices, and you constantly hype up the animals with videos like this to keep the demand high, you have no incentive to lower the price. Because you’ll always be able to find a dozen or so people that will pay your extortionate prices. It’s so depressing, knowing that I’ll never be able to afford these snakes just because when you have a large enough audience and are a good enough salesman, you can keep demand in the stratosphere and make bank off the other breeders and whales.
@@TheEuphonium412 oh, I agree with the sentiment. I work hard at our breeding so I can afford cool stuff when it’s new. But you’re wrong about pricing. We priced these new hatchlings less that half of the price this adult was, and with such a highly desired morph more and more breeders will keep pushing that trend. The whole reason for Superdwarves in morphs is that they make such great pets- but you don’t need the absolute rarest and most exotic color variety to enjoy their personality. They start at about $400. Right now, there is less than 5 SD cows that exist, so if you want to own one before almost anyone on the planet, then yes- you will have to put in a lot of work and money (trust me, $10k is a fraction of what it cost me to get them made for you). And when I first wanted one, no amount of money could buy one, as they didn’t exist. When the project first started, there was literally no demand. I also had to help do my part and educate the community about them to even hope to see a return on the investment of my time and money at some point. So truly, it is a wonderful time that we are living in, and if you want a Superdwarf cow as a pet, you would likely be able to afford one after saving up for just a year or two and waiting for prices to come down. As opposed to doing the hard work of raising and keeping multiple generations of snakes for a decade or more. I know it can be discouraging when you see something nice I can’t afford it immediately, but it will come as long as breeders continue to work hard to make these animals more available. They won’t be expensive forever, and we definitely intend to bring prices down, as we already have with 2 breedings that have ever produced these.
Well
