- This week I went with a comparison using a few well known film stocks, Ilford HP5+ and Kodak TX400. Tried my best to use similar light for both rolls. I think it went well and adds some more substance to these reviews! Next I think I will go with Delta 400 vs. TMAX 400. Let me know what you think!

I really appreciate these film review videos you’ve done. Also I definitely would equate myself to a “neighborhood photographer” but I also think I’ve just started using Documentary Photographer, as I feel like that’s more inclusive of this sort of work (and would probably include “street photography” as well).
I really enjoyed this. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!
On a side note, what camera do you use for your videos? Your content is superb! I mean... seriously.
Great editing and music selection 👌
Thank you my friend
Great review. I’ve been a tri-x shooter for years and never bothered to compare. Now that I’m shooting a lot less film these days I think the odd roll I get will be HP5+ just to save money! Thanks!😊
I have yet to find an Ilford film I don't like. Some aren't for me but they are quality across the board. You are welcome! Thank you for watching.
amazing
Thank you!!
Not sure where you are, but you can get new HP5+ for $9 per roll and new Tri-X 400 for $10 online now in the US. The difference is not as large as it has been, especially with the recent price reduction from Kodak.
I've been shooting HP5 because of the price, but recently picked up some Tri-X to try out. Have not got through them to compare or see what each provides in my shooting style.
I am in Canada and right now Trix is 19.99 and HP5 is 11.75
i am in love with you now
yeah, favourites are 2 bridges, the one with the holes, and the ilford shot at 2:21.
those are nice!
Thank you! There are lots of bridges around here so I find them in my photos a lot. I like the strong lines they create.
What is the camera of the thumbnail? A bessa R?
