Miya is insane but it really is a treat watching Zomba problem solve such a difficult matchup in a high stakes battle like this. All the comments about Zomba ‘raging’ are pathetic - he’s probably getting frustrated with his own small mistakes like misspacing game winning upsmashes and missing punishes where he had the read on Miyas dair habits. If you watch closely 90% of the time that Miya got an opening it lead to a stock or at least 150%, anyone would struggle to be composed playing such a one sided game come on… Add insult to injury that I think this is Zombas first time beating Marss in a big bracket like this and Zomba having a ton of experience vs Steve…this could have been his tournament. I’m always rooting for that kid idc how much he trolls on twitter he’s just crazy talented - one of the best players I’ve ever faced
I know people don't like g&w but I really liked a lot of the decisions made by miya on zomba's shield. It was interesting to see and miya really was chasing the hell out of zomba
That Up+Special out of shield combined with constant Up+Air, Up+Air, Up+Air afterwards is such a safe and solid strategy for G&W. Frankly, seems a bit busted. Wouldn't be surprised to see G&W's Up+Special requiring a few more frames in future Smash titles.
I don't know why it hit me during this match, but something told me he'd utilize up b and up air for high recoveries. It just makes sense to use it that way for high recover types like ROB, Snake and etc. It'll make them reluctant to recovery so high.

No rob is gonna be able to beat someone of Miya's level consistently. Just not possible. The second best gnw maister also agrees its +2 in gnw's favor. Miya is simply wrong about that. Edit: Miya used to have it +2 in gnw's favor aswell, don't know what has happened to change that because he has consistently dominated every rob, even making zomba look like a someone who drowns in pools and I'd argue there pure skill is far closer then the matched would imply. No hate to miya of course.
@davidc. ROB is a top tier. Top tier have tools to deal with unfavorable situations. Yes, he gets juggled. Yes, he can bucket. But there are areas where gnw struggles: namely, landing, edgeguarding, and escaping ledge. He is very susceptible to 2 framing due to his bad ledge grab, as well as dying extremely early due to his weight to side b, bair, up air, and up smash. It is game and watch favored, but ROB has counterplay. Also, I'd favor a top 3 players opinion over a top 15 player.

He’d improve so much if he’d just reflect instead of deflect after every set back.
