just some quick tips to help you. grubsong and quickslash are your friends spells are over powered dreamnail gives you soul some charms synchronize much better than others fragile charms from legeater are extremely strong and they can be easily fixed if broken and they can be upgraded to unbreakable versions prioritize grave warriors and dream warriors to earn essence the seer gives a very important traversal upgrade
Thanks! Quickslash absolutely became one of my favorite charms for sure. It took me way too long to realize how useful spells were, though--I didn't really take them seriously til I was up against NKG at the end of my playthrough! I wish I'd bought the fragile charms way sooner for sure. I fell for the classic gamer "limited resource hoarding" fallacy and just saw them as a bad investment. 🥲
@@TLPlaying Yeah spells are very good, especially with shaman stone that boosts spell damage by 50+ %. Descending Dark is on of the strongest, deals 80 damage (120 with shamanstone) in comparison your nail at lvl 2 does 11. Not only that it gives you a good amount of invisible frames (half a second). A lot of speedruns just rush to descending dark + shamanstone + spell twister (also good charm) combination, you can get it very early on.
@@Pticman-c8x Oh yeah I was FLOORED when I beat the game the first time and started watching people do speedruns. Everyone was just spamming descending dark and turning bosses into chumps; never even occurred to me how tough the spells could really be!
Wait so how has he gotten infected crossroads before taking lurien, herrah, or monomon? Is the Broken Vessel fight the same requirement for infected as the dreamers?

@@scoutdog0573 my understanding is that you can trigger it by killing a Dreamer OR getting the Monarch Wings--so I guess it was the latter!
