The medicine and food business is a major money maker for them and government and they don't want to change. Add to this a nation of people wanting to take the easy way out. I agree 100 percent with your views. In Canada we can't get doctors to learn about nutrition nor can they work in tandem with each other. When my GP tells me he is not interested in my skin cancer because that is my dermatologist's problem, how can he understand my stress or nausea?......we have a big big problem. Medicine should be a collaborative effort not just doctor to doctor, but doctors to the nutrition world and also to the naturopathic and traditional medicine worlds. Apathy in the medical community, apathy in people who don't want to own responsibility for their health, apathy in the pharmaceutical industry only interested in making money....how to you get rid of all that apathy? Diabetic friends tell me they sooner inject 4 needles a day rather than give up the foods they love......dah!!!! A concept I can't get my head around.
The whole Covid thing was a case in point. Why were people not checked for natural immunity before giving us the shots? I am over 70 and have never had the flu in my life, and very few colds. I do not get regular flu shots and my doctor gets angry. I told him when they give out a shot for the specific type of flu going around each year not the predicted one (which usually differ) I may research and consider it. Covid I did consider. I really did not want the Covid shots but my brother is on chemo and I didn't want to risk his life or any other vulnerable persons if I was a carrier. It was not an easy decision but a moral one. I believe there is a reason for all illness and 99 percent the answers are in nutrition and life style habits. It's not lack of knowledge but apathy that is the road block, let someone else do it attitude, a growing disease in this world.

First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me some information about integrated medicine. I am an Indian and have been practicing pranayamam, as you said. My doubt is that how long it can be done daily? It's said that breathing in through nostrils will produce NO, which is good for blood flow through the arteries.

I like Dr. Weil but I wish he would get to the point more quickly with only 31 minutes in the entire presentation I am watching at 9:00 and he hasn't even touched on the meat of the matter.
