Hi, I want to buy a cheap tablet for gaming, I got the teclast t30, but am so disappointed of the touch sensivity, and the screen fresh rate is 53 hz no more, for playing Android games which is better (spoking about touch sensivity, chipset, fresh rate) ? M40 or iplay 30 pro? Or its better wait for the next gen of cheap Tablets?
Just an observation. The animation thing is because by default it come with a more slow type activate. But you can change it in the settings to be faster, or straight up turn of animations, when turned off everything is immediate.
Agreed the screen is really important on a tablet. A poor screen will ruin the whole experience regardless of the other specs. 👌👌 Happy New year Chris. 🙂

CPU : 2.0GHz A75 + 1.8GHz A55 (T618) VS 2.0GHz A73 + 2.0GHz A53 (P60) both at 12nm, T618>=P60 GPU: G52 MP2 (T618) VS G72 MP3 (P60) P60>T618 primarily due to MP2 vs MP3 I guess T618 is way cheaper than P60 so it's a smart choice from Teclast, the problem is that you have to pair it with adequate storage performance which is not the case here. (don't need to be top tier neither)

Got this recently as a crazy discount, around the same price as my P20HD (Also Teclast). I use it to watch TH-cam during lunch break and play Clash of Clans and it performs quite well. For the money I think it's a great buy especially after the discount.
I've bought the M40 for myself and my partner and found it to be an excellent tablet. Great screen in my opinion and very smooth and responsive. No problems with any of the apps from the Play store so far. Really like it. The review here seems a bit picky in my view.

I ordered it before your review and while I agree that a laminated display and better battery life would be called for, I feel that was a really harsh review. My display, also not laminated, looks waaaaay better than that in your review, much higher contrast and darker blacks and decent brightness. As a bonus it came with a pre-installed glass screen protector (I ordered from Teclast website link to AliExpress) . Also Disney+ installs just fine on my unit, as does Netflix and Prime but in standard definition. Perhaps the unit you received is not functioning properly, a dud?
Why are Chinese manufacturers still producing Widevine L3 tablets? Really don't understand. I think that Netflix and TH-cam streaming is one of the main reasons people buy tablets.
tab a7, teclast m40, or iplay 30? mainly gaming is it worth it to pick m40 for emulation because specwise wise, it is much more powerful than the other two. i cant wait to see it performs when eta prime test it
i also just ordered this. it's good to use for stores etc where you will need to do a lot of customer service or order taking etc. the ram ensures that chat apps would load fast etc.

at this price, it's a good option with 6GB ram. For many of the big brands, they don't even have anything to offer at this price. in some countries, iplay30 may not be available.

This is actually the review I wanted to see before I bought the item (I bought it anyway). I follow most of your reviews since I think you do one, if not the best and quite detailed reviews at that. If I you did the review earlier I wouldn't have bought the M40, but hey, it is what it is... The way you presented the review significantly states the obvious disappointment you have on the M40. I got this one mainly for my CoC game... And since it does the job for me on that area, I'm ok with it...still, if you did this earlier (you mentioned in your alldo30 review you got the M40 before but was disappointed with it) I would have gone for the alldo30. I got the fire HD 10 on sale for £89..installed everything needed for Google and android laucher..Fully laminated and great battery life..But the 2gb ram will be off putting for some..it's fine unless needing to flick between apps..also it's widevine L1..it has the p60t cpu I believe..pretty much the same as the p60
Recently got Matepad for 240$, and I think it's worth to overpay as screen is much better (both brigthness and contrast >2 times higher) as well as performance.
My teclast M40 was fine connecting to my WiFi, but it couldn't connect to my friend's WiFi, it says "no internet access". I tried to contact the company about it, they told me to reload the lastest update. I tried, and still didn't fix it, and it basically reset my teclast, and still the problem didn't solve
Can you keep it flat on a surface as back camera casing has extended out of the back panel, it could get scratched and moreover it would not stay totally flat, isn't it?

Guys, if you have to order from China anyway - hunt for a 200-220euro deal on Huawei Mediapad M6 instead, spend an hour installing Google Services and... you'll have a wonderful tablet. Limited to 4GB RAM and WiFi, yes, but with a great screen, great performance, great camera... Chris himself has reviewed it a year ago. Why save like 30% of the price just to get a god-awful clone with a terrible screen(one way or another), a slow chip and placeholder cameras\speakers?

It seems easier to discover suitable covers or stands with this one. Smartphones are likely to depend on the timing I get a device.

My M40 is running the 20201114 firmware and it says there are no updates. Have anybody experienced this as well?
